The more I read it, this was a pretty shipping happy chapter. Even Joichiro signed in that Soma will save her. I wonder if he shows up and see it come true. Perhaps, too much success if you know what I mean.

Yeah I know  . But I really doubt he'll come now with Gin maybe later but still its all up to Soma and Friends so I don't think they'll have much of a roll in it   .

I don't think they should participate in the scale of Shokugeki, but I do think they will be behind the scene. I feel like Joichiro and Azami are connected. There's still parts that are left behind.

And again people dare to say what he did to her was normal parenting not a physical abuse since its considered like that in Asian culture  *sigh* . God I hate Azami's guts,  that kittening sick kitten !!! . Poor Erina    . On the other hand the girls are getting together and Soma will bump into them (more specifically Erina  ) , I sense some shipping development incoming , but most importantly I want to see the characters themselves develop more so with Erina's she needs it badly    . 

 

I said it once and  I'll say it again "God I love Alice's character !!!"  . Its official she's my favorite along with Erina , what good and pleasant development for her she's really shining  . P.S. Soma x Alice is my crack ship .

@harry4e Totally agree with everything . As for Ishiki some say that he would  "betray"  PSD (though that would make no sense) or be a double agent for PSD  bc he seems to be hiding something  at least that's the general opinion . 

 

Well that's how past manga and anime has programmed them into thinking. It's OK for a father to sacrifice his son to hardship to protect his village. It's OK for a parent to never see their child if they are  working on something important, it's OK to push a child to the max because you want them to be the best at what they do. Usually the child realises the parent is doing this for their own good, even if their methods were wrong. (Just look at Naruto, so many don't see an issue with Naruto and Sasuke's actions, heck I've seen plenty of comments on how great of a father Sasuke is to go to such lengths to protect his child.)

 

It's OK because that's how parents show they care...so many manga, LN, and anime push those ideals on to the vierwership, though usually there is an undercurrent to the ideals one where the parent also learns a lesson though this and how their actions were not right, and they calm down near the end, but some people just don't seem to pick up on these things, they read things like the manga itself, in black and white. they don't see the greys.

Oh Man that mentality is just wrong so wrong . I mean I would understand if the parent has no other choice but to work hard in order to provide for his family/kids for education and food and stuff but that's under different circumstances , but in this case and Nardo that's just wrong so much wrong , there's no valuable life lesson to learn from that it makes me sick ugh !!!  .

Asian values, I'm a British Indian, so born in Britain with Indian parents...and the way some Indian (and Pakistani) families treat their daughters and daughters-in-law is sickening. Dispite how modernised they get certain beleives are slow to get stamped out, even in the west, we still have white supremacy, and gender inequality.

 

People fear change, they think they'll lose their identity if they change their way of thinking. We don't always understand their way of living and they probably look at ours and wonder how we haven't all killed ourselves.

Yeah I want Azami to get his, but as much as i want that I'm more concerned with healing Erina's Scars. I believe the main characters can do that. Especially Soma, and then they will get married and have  family and that will be the last step to freeing her froma Azami's abuse.

That might be true but under different circumstances but not always . I don't know I'd say Child Abuse is right there with murder its not something to be taken lightly either so one can get away with it by "redemption" . I'm pretty strict with child abuse , I'm dealing with cases like that more then often at work . Btw I'm not talking that his punishment should be death sentence but definitely a long time jail (according to the laws we have ) and banishment/restriction order for the child safety so he can never come near him/her ever again that's more realistic imo.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not degrading that, rather saying some part are not going back or fix but it will take the length of what you did or double it. It really depends on how it went down. I'm not saying it will happen but it's not out of option. Naruto made the impossible possible.
