Not sure what to make of that statement from Chie, if it is actually true. If this is genuine, how much damage could she be doing to her career from saying as such?
1) Implies, to me, that the bond goes both ways, that Naruto and Sakura both share a bond with each other that is stronger than that of lovers/husband and wife.
2) Implies, to me, that it is Sakura who is the focus. Not that Naruto doesn't necessarily, but that this sentence only focuses on Sakura's perspective.
Neither are really wrong, to be honest. They both work, and both are saying that the bond they share is elevated above all others (above Sasuke's, above Hinata's). The meaning of the sentence is to say that Naruto and Sakura share a bond with each other that goes beyond lovers/husband and wife, so I think the first would be more accurate.
At least, that's the impression I got.
