Exactly !!! I've never laughed so hard like I've have with Gintama  like you said its a beautiful mix of everything . That is why I wonder why isn't  Him and Gintama  more popular then  a Sexist Pig like Kishimoto who is full with inconsistency who  doesn't know what he's been writing and ruined his story the message and the morals  how can people even prize this piece of kitten is beyond me   . 

 

Definitely not a good message for future mangakas who want to write what they want sadly its all about the money now *sign*  .

Am I the only one who's fine with this '8 years' bullsh**? I mean, good for him, if this is what he planned......he must have had some serious luck in coming up with a series that seemed so good...and it also means that all the positive things that there were in the series were only the result of dumb luck.

 

I mean, it validates the fact that NH is kitten, an all-around super duper sh*tty pairing, while giving the NS bragging rights to actually say with complete mental honesty, "wow, your pairing sucks so bad. Your ship was decided 8 years ago and this kitten is what comes out of it, no interaction, no development and an heroine with card-board personality? Well darling, do go on and cheer, brag and be happy.......if you can......"

 

On the other hand, if it's the NaruSasu thing, well we knew it since the dawn of time, and even then he executed it so poorly that's almost laughable.

 

 

So...yeah, the more overly pathetic it all becomes the easier is for us to deal with it, or at least imo. That's what happens when one screws logic and decide to go with idiocy.

It's clear judging by the manga alone that NaruHina and SasuSaku were initially set up to fail. Sasuke treated Sakura like kitten, and Hinata never had the courage to be up front with her support like Sakura. They were never meant to be canonised. They were meant to illustrate how Naruto and Sakura were meant for another, because he treated her like any woman would want to be treated, with love, admiration and respect, and Sakura treated Naruto the same and believed in his dreams and did what she could to support him and protect him.

 

The only reason NaruHina and SasuSaku happened was because they were popular. There is nothing else to it.

You know what, I refuse to blame SP for this ending. I was skimming along the Shippuden episode list and I was reminded of one very important thing-- SP have given many many moments for NS in almost every filler arc.

 

Its true that they over-exaggerate Hinata but they rarely did episodes dedicated to NH. And SS... its pretty clear SP weren't the biggest fans of that garbage pairing. In the last couple of years they have underplayed NH moments( 631) , ignored SS completely while at the same time emphasized NS more and more.

 

The very recent Mecha-Naruto filler comes to mind. That 'Sakura-flower' scene was done so romantic 

 

The movie has been production from two years before and its safe to say SP knew all along which pairings would become canon. Despite this they did not give anything for NH/SS, instead they chose to highlight more and more of Naruto and Sakura's wonderful bond. What does that tell you? It tells me they like NS more than NH/SS. 

 

While I was looking at the episode list, memories of all those NS fillers came to me.

 

Remember the Sora arc where Naruto and Sakura protect each other without worrying about their own lives?

Remember the food pills, the notes that Sakura wrote for Naruto and Naruto holding those notes close to his heart ?

Remember Sakura and Sai's conversation about Naruto during the RasenShuriken training? 

Remember Sai's words-'' Sakura, you are always worried about Naruto arent you? '' in the four-tails arc? Hinata was in that arc and her understanding of Naruto was used as a comedy while Sakura was shown to really understand and care about Naruto.

Remember all those fillers after Pein arc with Naruto and Sakura walking around the village and Sakura giving that special smile of hers for Naruto when he ran off to help rebuild Ichiraku's ?

 

I could go on and on and on because SP gave us so many sweet moments. I can't not acknowledge this.

 

Remember Sakura's 'I couldn't kill the guy I used to love'? And even more importantly, remember Naruto Shippuden episode 235? That single most beautiful episode which captured the very essence of Naruto's selfless love for Sakura? 

 

Studio Pierott understood and acknowledged Naruto's feelings better than Masashi Kishimoto himself. They understood what was better for Sakura. They have never, till now , undermined the NS bond unlike a certain mangaka. And because of this, I find myself respecting SP more than I respect Kishimoto.

Naruto: The only shounen to end as a shojo.

What I find strange is that Romance in Shojo is some of the worst I've ever read, I tried to pick a few random ones a few years back, and I couldn't read any of them, the females are nearly always depicted as weak dreamer types, that are too shy to be interesting and the two love interest usually consist of acomeplte jackarse who gives men a bad name, and the nice guy friend. It becomes obvious the best friend is only there to build tension, and the other guy is going to win.

 

 

I've found romance in Shounen is often written better than this, the male charactor isn't a complete arse, the female charactors usually have more depth to them, they have more to them just being a charactor the Male is trying to seduce.

 

Also why would you look at a manga for females for inspiration when over half your reader base is male? and in all likelyhood the female reader base prefer Shounen over Shojo anyway. Why would you look at inspiation from a genre that is less popular than your own?

Really...Well that explains it. I mean I do like that (despite how rushed it was), but within that chapter, there's too many other stuff, but eh. I'm just happy my Black Friday shopping well. I got myself HTTYD 2 for $10 and I didn't see the movie yet. You know, the one that Kishi wanted to see so bad. Well, nan nan nan nan nan!

 

Oh! I almost forgot. I went by anime section and heard the conversation that this guy's girlfriend found RtN and they were like and this almost a direct quote, "That should have be connected to the story. Newest one sounds retarded." And then she put it down and wished One Piece blu-ray set was on sale. Man...I wish I can be hype to buy one like before...

Kishimoto should have watched and learned from Hideaki Sorachi how to properly  write strong females and  his Hero  . Even though Gintama is mostly  comedy  its  way  better then this crap that's called Naruto  it even gives a better message then Naruto the battles are done very good and the females real badasses as well ,  and the main trio are really shown to function and  work as a team and a family they really have a proper bond unlike kitten 7  .  

 

Believe it or not there is not a single character that I dislike in Gintama  and its why  now its my favorite manga and anime (still sad  that they canceled it  )   Sorachi is the man and a brilliant mangaka   its a shame that Gintama is not more popular then this crap  that is Naruto and its SexistSellout Author   .

Bleach also has badass female characters, and unlike Sakura the main heroine of Bleach - Rukia - is far funnier, loveable and stronger, also, while Sakura was just a support character to help Chiyo (the main star) againts her battle againts the second weakest Akatsuki member (Sasori), Rukia alone crushed strong male characters like Rudborrn, Aaroinero (9th Espada), Roy and As Nodt - the latter who is also called as the "japanese Bane" for crushing Byakuya -. Also, we have Unohana too, who just simply killed Zaraki 20 time before Zaraki could be powered up enough to defeat her. Bambietta knocked out Shinji with one shot. Candice fought againts the power uped Ichigo on an equal level. Yachiru defeated Guaneal who is greater and more ninja-like than any ninja in Naruto. Masaki, the mother of Ichigo, not only saved the ass of Isshin but also killed White in a very badass way. Senjumaru defeated Nianzol whom not even her college, Tenjiri could defeat. And so on, yes, of course there are weak females too, but comparing to Naruto where the only succesfull females who actually defeated strong non-fodder male characters are all 50+ (Chiyo and Tsunade) the females of Bleach are much better too!

Kimi no Todoke comes in at number 11, and for the first half of this year the same manga dropped to number 22. Shojo might be popular but compared to Shounen Manga, Shojo still has a way to go. I might be wrong about the female fanbase for Naruto prefering Shounen over Shojo, though I don't think that far off my guess...but female members in the forum can answer than statement better than me.

 

However it is true that there are more females prefer reading Shounen Manga over Shojo, we've seen WSJ and other manga's changing their content to cater for this market, recently. You just have to look at Anime line-up recently, there has been an increase in animes aimed at Bi-Shounen fans that I've ever seen.

Well I don't really know since I haven't gotten into Bleach yet  but I do follow the news  , I first wanted to finish this crap then maybe get into Bleach , so in therms of females  I can't give you a correct answer  but I'll take your word for it  as well as the general opinion of the fans  that it is way better then Kishimoto's portrayal  most definitely after the pile of kitten that was served to us  .  As for the whole story many criticize it and from the description that I have read (don't know how accurate it is ) Kubo certainly did his fair share of trolling though nothing like the travesty that is Kishimoto    . But still Gintama as a manga an anime in therms of everything  remains the NO 1 for me   .  Btw I thought Orihime was the Heroine not Rukia ? Either way  from what I've heard and read a little  Orihime is what Hinata should have been  but sadly they compare Hinata to her bc of BOOBS !   .

i wasn't arguing about which sells better, i was just disagreeing with the bolded statement.

 

not a shojo-ai fan but i heard a recent anime 'Sakura Trick' did pretty good. There's also 'Maid Sama', 'Ouran High', 'Last Game', 'Skip Beat', ' Even So, the World is Beautiful (new anime by sp) ', 'Fruits Basket', 'mademoiselle butterfly' ' they're all great manga imo.

 

i recently read this 'I am a demon, she is a wife' which is listed as shojo/shonen and it's a pretty good read.

I enjoy everything up to 699 and 700, and I am using all of what I know about Naruto for my fanfic, so I know I'll churn out the best story and not mess it up big time. Be sure to check it out if you can :)

Either way, why not on Sakura still? I mean all other series would pick her in a heartbeat. But even then, it's still a crappy excuse that again, you don't need to do this. FMA did it good, Rave did it good, and so on. No need for shoujo. You only look bad for doing so.
