He surely had a reason to not show her. Its possible that she left the battlfield as well as she could be planning some kind of attack on obito with sais help. We dont know it yet, but do you really believe kishi makes sakura say that words as well as hinata and then he makes hinata fullfill those words but sakuras not? Guess not.

Just because sakura wasnt in those fight still doesnt mean that she wont fulfill what she said, honestly i even prefer that she wasnt just a small piece of the shinobi attack, it would make her look unspecial. Her and sais absence in 616 as well as 617 was just too obvious, so im sure something is up with her..

That's the word that we have to use because that's what it's come to. It's that word that's truly embarrassing because Kishi has neglected this character so much that it has lead us Sakura fans to use the word "surprise".

I think she is on the battlefield healing some ninjas. Don't know if she received any chakra cloak because Naruto was preparing a counter attack and even thou it's a manga it feels tactical wise to just strengthen attack elements. Her absence from the entire affair is suspiciously odd but she is expected to heal injured ninjas not participate in the offensive. And the Juubi attacked left pretty many wounded.

Hinata's speech was associated with Naruto's disbelieve in Neji's demise. Now Neji's death and subsequent events in the next chapter allowed Naruto to get closer to Madara and Obito but the fight isn't over and Sakura still has a chance to do something.

I agree that Sakura should be the one in place of Hinata in 615. It has always been this way. But, we need to remember that what else could Kishi do in order to develop her character ? Not to mention, he had to kill Neji in order for Hinata to get her spotlight.
He could do another scene ? But what is it ? Her character revolves around Naruto which is something bad need to happen to Naruto in that way in 615, in order for her to step in and her major character development in the manga to happen.

As for Sakura, she won't just sit back there watching the action or just heals some fodder ninja !!! Even if she's a medical ninja that should not fight in the front line, she'll get to do something more than that. Imagine that all of a sudden, it switches to her healing someone and saying few words and that it for her in this war, then switch back to something else 0_o... This can't happen. Never in my life I saw something like that happening to a heroine either. If Kishi didn't show her at all, than he's either messing with us, or letting her shine in the Naruto vs Sasuke battle, or he doesn't know what he's doing which I don't think so cause the man knows what he's doing for his own manga.

I agree here, sakura is the heroine, she doesn't play along with the side characters.Sakura's shining moment'll be for her alone.Plus kishi said your favourite characters will get their "moment" to shine, sakura's the heroine so she wont be having any moments, but major roles to play.

And yes exactly, since even tenten had panel time in 616-617 and sakura didn't, that alone is enough to be a bell ringer from masashi.

I posted this in another thread but I'll put it here as well because I want your opinion on this:

Do any of you think that the reason Sakura is still shown thinking about Sasuke is because Kishimoto doesn't want people calling NaruSaku canon yet? Maybe he wants to purposely have people doubt it will happen because when he makes it canon he wants people to have a reaction like "OH WHAT A PLOT TWIST, AWESOME!"

So even if it all points to Naruto getting together with Sakura, this way Kishimoto can add more impact to when it happens.

I think that that is definitely part of it. But I also think that he is trying to illustrate the conflict going on in Sakura's head between her feelings for Naruto and her feelings for Sasuke. Sakura knows that Naruto has and will always stand by her no matter what whereas in 540, She knows that Sasuke is not a great man. Who is a Great man? Naruto. In the confession, the point was not that Naruto did not love Sakura or Sakura did not love Naruto. Naruto was mad because she had lied about being over Sasuke. I think when it comes down to the fight Sakura is going to have to make a choice because it doesn't seem like Sasuke is going to change according to Hashirama's story. It also seems like she is slowly starting to get over Sasuke like Ino has because of 540 and the fact that she resolved to kill him. However, until that final fight, nothing is canon.

I found a pretty interesting reason why NH won`t happen.

The Hyuugas. The Hyuugas ALL have the byakugan, or at least no pupils. Which probably means they are a bunch of inbreads. Which we can logicaly assume that they probably have an arranged marriage system. Furthermore if Naruto were to marry Hinata he would be adopted into the clan. Even if he is the hero of the hidden leaf and carries some impressive genes they probably wouldn`t accept him so well. Probably because he has pupils. Ultimatly if Naruto were to become a Hyuuga he would be a trophy husband used to make strong babies. At least that`s the impression they Hyuugas give me.

The Harunos on the other hand are a lovely family of 3 who seem fond of Naruto (Sakura especially) and would probably love to have him as a family member. And their acceptance of him would not be based on his power but rather the fact that their daughter loves him.

In short: They Hyuugas are essentialy a**holes. They proved that. Naruto deserves better. He deserves to have a kid with pupils. And an awesome wife.

That's really shallow. Not much of a reason for a pairing to not happen to be perfectly fair.

I think what he meant is that Naruto deserves an expansion of his own clan almost extinct and not be integrated into a perfectly formed clan. Of course reason is plausible, although not really relevant, the story revolves around Naruto then nothing more righteous than he have his own surname in their future children. Anyway, it is only speculation.

I honestly can't see Naruto and Hiashi having buddy-buddy talks and being all friendly with each other, unlike Naruto and Kizashi, if Kishi chooses to implement Sakura's parents into the manga.

This is one of the reasons why I can't see NH happening. It's a petty reason, but Naruto doesn't fit in with the Hyuugas at all.
