Either way it really shouldn't matter because SS has already been dead for a while now. Sakura got over Sasuke and Sasuke was never interested in her to begin with. Had it been Kakashi or Gaara or anyone else people would pay it no mind (like in RTN when Itachi picked Sakura up bridal style and carried her off)

because he was explaining to obito how his ability works and the final panel didn't leave me any doubts honestly. Sasuke was speaking about that vest. I know that okagede is uncommon with objects but it's still possible. Sasuke said that he was able to reach that place thanks to switching himself with the sakura's vest. Maybe it's "due to that, I reached here" ?
I also thinked that it's strange that kishi hasn't explicated sasuke's gratitude towards someone with ~のおかげで

Yes, you can use おかげ towards an object. However, it takes a lot of effort to use it on them and make it sound natural. And you definitely don't use it over a person who contributed on a certain aspect. You don't say 「食器のおかげで美味しいご飯を食べれました(Thanks to the spoons and plate, the food was tasty)」 over 「あなたのおかげで美味しいご飯を食べれました(Thanks to your good cooking skills, the food was tasty)」. Even if there's no あなたの in front of おかげ it's obvious the that the object is the person who did the deed instead of the tools. Does it make sense to you that the object of Sasuke's おかげ is a jacket, when the biggest contributors to his escape wasn't the jacket but Obito and Sakura? It sounds very unnuatural for him to say おかげで towards a tool that did no work on it's own over the two people who opened the dimension. Moreover if you're going to use おかげ towards an object you should put said object in front of おかげ or else the sentence won't make sense to people. For example, この車のおかげで嵐の中でスーパーに行けました(Thanks to the car I was able to go the supermarket in this storm.) You can't just sayおかげで嵐の中でスーパーに行けました。Otherwise the people you're talking to thinks you're thanking them for one reason or another, or, they'll think you're just muttering some nonsense.@ramen

Also, the last panel served to explain what he traded himself with. It refers to his explanation of his ability. Nothing more, nothing less.
So all in all, no matter how much I squint or how many times I reread the scene, I cannot translate that scene into "Thanks to that".
I'm not trying to undermine your translation or anything though (your translation is always awesome like a native). It's just my view on this matter.
Do you understand the language? Please enlighten me. The more opinions we get on the matter the better, yup

This is what takL said:
Sasuke: Thankfully it reached here (/this far).
the words in ( ) are added by me just as a possible interpretation for the panel with sakuras vest in the desert aand sasukes 'thankfully' line.

What does the 'it' refer to? Shouldn't it be 'Thankfully, i reached here.' Instead of, 'Thankfully, it reached here?'@六道仙人 & ramenanmitsu

Then somebody asked and he said:
no he doesnt say the vest. he only says 'thankfully'.

Could you also ask him what was the object of Sasuke's "thanks"? Kishi left that part vague. I want to know what he thinks.Woah I didn't notice that, I'll ask him.
Actually, that's very less likely. He used the word が(but) after speaking the limitations of his Rinnegan ability. It means that the object of "thankfully" is targeted towards something that made him overcome the limit of his Rinnegan ability. That cannot be the Rinnegan ability itself.'it' could refer to his Rinnegan ability, since that's what he was just talking about/explaining.

In the beginning of chapter 686 Sakura lifts herself from Sasuke and making sure it was him and not hallucinating from chakra exhaustion. Obito and Sasuke start to talk about the current situation while he was gone and a small monologue with all three of them. Sakura relieved that they completed their task turned to ask Obito if he was ready until the pain in her arm started to throb extremely again. Sasuke takes notice and Obito begins to talk....
Obito: How about you go ahead and use your medical ninjutsu to heal yourself? You pushed yourself too much in keeping the last dimension open so while we have the time take a breather an-
Sakura: no I'm fine really!! This pain isn't nothing to be concerned with....
Sasuke: It would be beneficial for all of us to heal your wounds now so they won't be a hindrance later!
Sakura:...........
Sasuke: And why are you so keen in rushing back into the fight? You are a medic ninja right? The role of medic ninja is to stay away from the fight as much as possible and support with medical ninjutsu when needed. You are doing the complete opposite!
Sakura:..........
Sasuke: if you are gonna be of any help to us in this fight start healing yourself alrea-
Sakura: WILL YOU JUST SHUT THE HELL UP ALREADY SASUKE-KUN!!!!!
Sasuke: !?
Sakura: I know full well what it means being a medic ninja and it's principles!!! But right now as we speak Naruto is fighting all by himself with that monster kaguya and we aren't there to help him!!! He's been fighting most of this war on his own and has done so much already to keep everyone alive....He even almost died!!!! I'm not gonna stand here worrying over small wounds like this that can be tended to later and make Naruto go through this alone!! Even if I'm not much help I'll still be there every step of the way with you two when you beat kaguya, You Got It!?!?
Sasuke: ..........
Obito: ........(damn).........
Sakura: Obito!!
Obito: Huh!? Yes!!!!
Sakura: Please let's go ahead and get ready to teleport out of here!! We need to get Sasuke-Kun back to naruto as soon as possible so let's not waste anymore time!!!
Obito: uh... Right!! But I don't now long it will take to find that ice dimension again considering what we went through to find Sasuke. It'll take time....
Sakura: Damn....
Sasuke: .........that won't be a problem....
Sakura and Obito: !?
Sasuke: Just prepare your teleportation and I'll point in the right direction. It won't be a problem to find where that idiot is at....
Ok that's how I picture it'll go down so tell me what y'all think and if you like it I would have a request to ask of you guys if it were to happen. Consider it a way to answer back the SS fandom for this past week

On one hand I find it hard to believe that Sasuke is thanking the vest due to grammar on the other hand I find it hard to believe he would respect Sakura and Obito more than an inanimate object.

I don’t know if someone is interested in my translation of the okagede おかげで sentence, but anyway. I would say it’s “Thanks to you (both of you in my opinion, there is no indication of who he’s thanking) I reached it.” It could mean “Luckily I reached it.” But it wouldn’t make sense, it is thanks to Obito and Sakura that he could reach their place, so it’s normal that he says that it’s thanks to them that he got there, isn’t ?
Here is a little explanation of the okage de:
おかげでOkage de: “Thanks to God” (usually used with okage de おかげで), “luckily” (when it’s used with okagesama de おかげさまで), or “thanks to someone” (usually used when you say who you are thanking, like for example kimi (you) no okage de (thanks to)君のおかげで ”thanks to you”)
届いたTodoita: todo/ku = to reach -> todo/ita = reach to the past = reached
So you got all the elements to choose your translation. Like I said, to me, “Luckily” would be too biased as a translation, why denying that it’s thanks to Obito and especially Sakura, that he made it?

Wait for the volume release for the final verdict. Or next arc.So this is weird. Because it feels like I'm seeing "Sasuke acknowledged them" vs. "Sasuke thanked the vest." It's like who should I side. Lol.
