I get the impulse to draw comparisons, but there really isn't an equivalent to NaruSaku in the Harry Potter books, or rather, there aren't any involving Harry. The couple that resembles NS the most would be RH.

 

• Childhood friends that became part of a trio on the cusp of puberty
• she's brainy and skilful and he's rough around the edges but has a good heart albeit misunderstood from time to time
• they go through many trials and tribulations together
• eventually they come to have feelings for another which are complicated by love triangles (Hermione/Viktor = SS without the abuse, Ron/Lavender = NH considering there was never real attraction from Ron)
• in the end they are finally honest about their feelings and they're together

 

One could also say H/Hr is the NH of the HPverse, but that pairing simply doesn't exist in the books, not even potentially, because it clearly never crossed Rowling's mind. H/Hr is like Zutara. The creators of their respective series simply didn't consider, hinted or planned at either pairing.

 

As for general Naruto and Harry Potter comparisons, really, the only one that comes to mind is the epilogue. They're both utterly kitten and disappointing.

 

That being said, Rowling introduced me to the wonders of reading, and I grew up with the characters in meaningful ways, and in the end, while the epilogue sucked, Rowling still stayed true to the characters and her story.

 

Kishimoto didn't do that. Kishimoto betrayed his story and his characters by retroactively dismantling years of writing and development, all for the sake of pandering to what was popular rather than what made sense within the context of his story. The degree to which he has betrayed his story, characters and fan expectations is unforgivable, and he doesn't deserve to be even spoken of in the same sentence as Rowling, not without a qualifier of how terrible he is by comparison.

I'll admit I was rude, but in my defence I've been seeing posts after post comparing Naruto/Sakura and Harry/Hermione, and I've had it up to by neck with the incorrect comparison. JKR wrote an amazing story, she had a plan and stuck true with the ending, Kishi had a half baked plan, had a certain pairing in mind, gave it the most focus and then did a 180 at the end that made no sense.

 

It's almost like Kishi was told the ending of Harry Potter from a dishearted H/Hr fan who left out all the hints and suggestions JKR threw in all the books and Kishi ran with it. Because yeah if you haven't read the books and got the description of how H/G and H/Hr got together without being given the complete story or you just watched the movies you would think the two are the same, but anyone who read the books properly cannot claim that is the case.

Cloti is one of my many Otp's   

but depending on who you are talking to/debating with some Clerith's seem to think Aerith and Cloud can have spiritual...relations. Like she exists in him like some creepy parasites. But the main point of contention when you bring that up is "Just because she'd dead doesn't mean he doesn't love her!" Like having Cloud pine away until he dies is romantic  

In any case, despite the debate being settled in an ultimania recently, they are still arguing there IS NO canon couple and its open ended.

Its really not though, and even the original game seems to settle this quite definitively considering they get it on under the high wind

Ginny is just like Hinata? She has no role but to have Harry's babies? Absolutely false and willingly ignoring factual stuff from the books.

But it's like someone (I think Tricksie said): H/G was never meant to be a focal point to the book. JKR actively kept Hermione as the main female character throughout the entire series. H/G was always going to get less development than that of the main trio.

Okay enlighten me what was her role? Cause all I saw was her hero worshipping Harry. She was a chaser on the team, she threw a bat bogey hex. Am I missing anything else? She had no role in the books except to have Harry's babies. That's it, she had no development of her very own. She was a background character just like hinata.

Her development wasn't show but she changed yes, she stopped hiding her true self from Harry. Hinata however remained practically the same naruto obsessed for the entire saga. Her whole character was this

She is different from hinata, completely different, their only thing in common is both of then being secondary characters

Well, now they dont even have that in common since hinata was promoted to MC

That's exactly why I was so confused about the outcome of Book 6.
