best Harry Potter description I've read so far T_T

I've recently only read all books (that's a blasphemy in itself), and to be honest, I never cared about the romance anyways. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I already knew the cannon couples in the end. At least that allowed me to focus on the storyline itself more. JKR did a fantastic job, and I love Harry Potter and everyone of the characters. It really is a shame to compare a magical series to a shounen series that disappointed us so greatly in the end.

Yeah but that's how it was written, if Naruto and Sakura was written like that, with no blushing, asking out on dates, bonds that hinted at more, foreshawing using past generations, then I'd not have been so pissed off the pairing not happening.
 
I'm not so immature to think that a boy and girl can't have a strong bond and can only lead to romance, there is more than one form of love, Harry/Hermione was always shown as siblings, Naruto/Sakura was never shown as that, to try to tell us that was the case right at the end doesn't work, it has to be shown.

I guess old school tactic wins. Boo...

I've been a Potter fan since I've picked up the first book when It was published (and of course translated), I was...probably seven or eight years old. 

We need to separate books from movies, and we need to do that pronto. Movies were good, actors were good, but movies will never ever ever ever replace the books.

In the books, and I feel I can say it safely because in this fandom I am a non-shipper (actually I am, but I only ship Jily), it has always been quite clear to me that the canon ships we got were the ones that mama Row always intended to, no deviation or anything, and I appreciate it very very much.

Apart from the fact that I adore Book Ron and mostly because his faults, insecurities and overall silliness, I can admit that Book Ron is almost certainly not Movie Ron, he's much dorkier and funnier in the books, just as much as Book Hermione is NOT (and I want to stress not) like Movie Hermione.

Nevertheless Harry and Hermione share one of the most beautiful bonds of all the series, maybe they are soul mates, but I never had the feeling that they should end up together, they work best as 'soul-bound-friends', their bond is perfect as it is, and maybe putting them in a relationship would have diminished it, at least imo.

 

Every time I see someone comparing Kishi to JK I die a little inside, she taught me to dream, to be inspired and I grew up with her books. She never betrayed her work and she created one of the most fantastic stories ever told (yes, I am that big of a fan). 

JK Rowling emphasized bonds, and not only romantic ones. She wrote of loyalty, of friendship, of courage and of love and her books will be the ones I'll read to my children when they'll go to bed at night.

She gave morals, beauty and magic to all children of the world, children that grew up with her books, waiting with baited breath for the next one to be published (God, I mss those times!!) and comparing her with Masashi Kishimoto (the man who ruined his whole work like that, and still has the gall to be all smiley) is blasphemous....

Very accurate post. I was a big fan of the Harry Potter series, read all the books multiple times and never watched the movies. As far as pairings are concerned, I was neutral and did not care much. But it was obvious that Harry/Ginny and Hermione/Ron would be paired. I never understood why the Harry/Hermione fandom is so huge in number.

 

NOWHERE in ANY of the seven books was there ANY hint that Harry or Hermione had feelings for each other. JK Rowling never played with the fandoms.

 

I hate it when people compare Naruto/Sakura with Harry/Hermione. They are nothing alike. Harry/Hermione is like Ino/Shikamaru. They were excellent friends and supported each other but never showed any signs of attraction for the other.

I also never cared for romance in HP
though i could see R/H happening in. the future after reading book 4, H/G was more of a book 6 thing, i never saw any hint besides a one sided attraction from Ginny in book 2.

Futhermore you can't compare Ginny with someone like Hinata. Ginny is outgoing, extroverted and speaks her mind, she moved on after she saw that she was pathetic running after harry. Harry began to like her just because he saw her true self

Hinata on the other side was always meek and kind of weird, she never demonstraded any kind of strength in things not related to naruto in part 2, NH could've been a good pairing if what happened to Ginny happened to Hinata, she could've move on and then focus her interests in things non naruto. And then if ultimately Naruto didn't manage anything with Sakura, he could have noted the change in Hinata or something like that

Agree! And also H/Hr have a great number of fans mainly because of the chemistry between Daniel and Emma in the movies

Yes, my attachment to the series is visceral, but I have no ships of particularly favorite characters (excluding the marauders, but their story is mostly untold and freely left to the creativity of the fan fictions, some of which are truly marvelous) I just plainly love it.

 

 

There's one thing I'm mostly proud of though.....

For kittens sake will people drop that s**t, Rowling admitted her quotes were taken out of context, and i'm getting tired of Harry/Hermione fans thinking that their pairing ever had a chance, JK Rowling NEVER WROTE THE FREAKING STORY TO EVER HINT AT HARRY/HERMIONE!!!!!!!

 

The difference between this and JKR'w work was JKR always wrote Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione from day one, If the novels ended with Harry/Hermione without changing the rest of the books then it would be sitting right next to the Naruto ending as the worst ending.

 

The biggest issue with the ending is the lack of development for the SS and N/H, that would have been exactly the same for H/H, they had no ROMANTIC development at all, everything between then was platonic. As far as I concerned H/Hr ending would essentially be exactly what Kishi did, changing the ending to satisfy the bigger fanbase for greed. 

 

 

I really don't see a ship war...just general discussion.

I find that a WAR generally requires more than one person getting overly aggressive  

A disagreement, a scuffle, a brawl, would all be better terms than a SHIP WAR when its really pretty mild.

Even the plot is bad. I am literally seeing this as Pokemon First Movie bad but in Naruto edition. The villain changed his way and say bye bye. Unbelievable. This is straight out from Pokemon.

At least that was a better film than this BS we are getting I mean for Pokemon it was their first and well Mewtwo the real one not the 16th film one which makes no sense at all was bad ass in my eyes and he still does hate Humans as well after all its said it just coops with them but does not like them at all.

 

Sigh if only Mewtwo was in the Naruto world he could just make Hinata brain dead after all I know he can do that, or hell have Misty hit Hinata on the her with her Misty Mallet, I know I would just love that heck she can sort Naruto out as I know Misty is all about Romance.
