A manga vs anime difference:

Latest anime episode is Natsu+Gajeel vs Sting + Rogue. In the manga, this episode had the tiny NaLu moment where she goes "Natsu~" while falling asleep again. The anime has gone a step further, and Natsu is hanging out with her just prior to his battle, and she tells him something which is mouthed to the audience but not spoken aloud. Anime lip-reading is kind of impossible, but it's entirely likely we're supposed to be left with the impression of a "confession" - or an agreement to go out together after the games. Or something. It was probably nothing of the sort, but it was a really strong NaLu moment that was deliberately added in.

Wow, Rogue killed future Lucy. That's messed up. But I hope they realize that they can undo this by assassinating present Rogue. That would alter the future entirely... right?

So Rogue came from 7 years in the future, where Lucy only came few days in the future? Rogue claimed Lucy closed the gates, but she it's hinted that she has lost her right arm or something happened to it...so maybe who ever closed the gate cut off Lucy's arm and used that power to close the gate.

But then again what if opening the Gate was originally the reason why 10,000 dragons arrived, It's odd for 10,000 dragons to suddenly appear but what if they came through the eclipse time gate into the future. Kind of like a self fulfilling prophesy, you need to open the gate to use the cannon, however opening the gate will let the Dragons through, and with their being two gates one of the gates could have been the one responsible to let the dragons through.

To be honest, I might be the only one who can actually understand how the parallel timelines work, but the problem is, it's harder to put into words, and is best explained through pictures. The only thing is, I don't even have Photoshop. I'm too lazy to download it since I'm not really gonna be using it for anything else. Unless someone else is willing to work with me....

Well, I decided to just go ahead and do a crappy drawing of the timelines in MS Paint.

First of all, as you can see, in Future!Lucy's timeline, the bad future happens, and she goes back to correct it. However, in the first timeline/time loop, Future!Rogue doesn't exist. In this timeline, Lucy closes the door in the end for as of yet unknown reasons. Thus resulting in the same disaster. In the second timeline (current), Rogue goes back to kill Lucy. Lucy now knows what will happen, thus, resulting in the third timeline yet to be determined.

Hopefully, I've explained well enough. If anyone has any questions, shoot away.

Of course, there is a possibility that there is a 3rd person who wants to make sure the bad future DOES happen.

Mato, the pumpkin referee is the King himself, and Fiore's magic guilds are preparing for war.

Problem for them is, their strongest fighters are all heavily injured. That said, Makarov is probably going to be appointed as their leader/commander.

And Natsu.... is Naruto now??

Jellal is definitely smelling that something's not right with this Eclipse business. He'll probably figure out what's wrong since CS is the only people who knows more about Zeref's magic more than anything else.

P.S.: I can't be the only one to have same vibes as reading chapter 515 of Naruto. Funny enough that both chapters have the number 5.

Yeah that's what I said last week, there are two gates, the original timeline, Lucy said she was escaping in the dungeons, when the dragons attacked, and so she didn't know about the second gate, so it's entirely possible the first gate was opened and let in the dragons.

I just realised the dragon that had possesed Rogue during his battle with Gajeel must have been Future Rogue.

Well if the theory is correct then everyone's screwed, we have 10,000 dragons about to attack and the strongest fighters are all knackered, quick somebody call over Naruto with his new ability.

So we were correct in our guess that the Dragons did indeed come through the gate, not surprising though, where else would 10,000 Dragons be hiding if not in the past?

Now I wonder if something similar had happened 14 years ago as well, but instead of going back in time the dragons and the Dragon Slayers were thrust forward in time, which would explain why the age line during Laxus's invasion saw Natsu as over 80 years old? Also why Zeref knew Natsu, he'd met him when he was a child and Natsu being Natsu had promised to defeat him in the future.

No surprise indeed. I'm pretty sure Natsu is an child originally from the past. And ironicaly I think the only reason he will go to the future is because Natsu and Co will travel back in the past and meet him, then bringing chibi Natsu to the future so he can fulfill his destiny. And same goes for Gajeel.

Hmm, I actually re-watched the Fighting Festival arc not too long ago, and I found myself wondering if that would ever be touched on. My old standby explanation was just that it rejected them based on the age of their magic, but Natsu and Gajeel originally being from the past makes more sense. Plus, with the Zeref thing, it seems ever more likely that Natsu spent some time in the past.

Oh the Rave Master connections keep on building. I got a really strong Haru/Elie vibe from that last page.

I'm guessing the door will be closed prematurely in this timeline, since 10,000 dragons is a little much for nakama power to defeat alone, but I kinda hope some of the good dragons make it out of the gate. It would be pretty cool to see Natsu/Igneel, Wendy/Grandine, and Gajeel/Metallica reunions before the final battle.

Actually, I suspect that the dragon slayer kids were raised in such isolation that even if they were brought forward 400 years, they wouldn't know what year it was and would not recognize they were from the past. Gajeel was the oldest and might suspect something was amiss, but he's a metal head so who knows. Poor Wendy was only four when the dragons "disappeared."

Well shame only seven got through but that still should be enough considering the biggest players have all been in a major fight recently.

They have Five Dragon Slayers and seven dragons, then we also have Jellal who is still yet to fight, and we still have no idea where Zeref is and what he might do, It's all pretty intense, should be some interesting chapters coming up. To think they ended the anime just before this all happened...They must be kicking themselves. Or Marybe they plan to make this arc into a movie.

BTW.... I'm the only one hoping for Jura to harvest that stone/rock/earth dragon into a Lachryma and become a DS?? that'd put him at Madara/Hashi's level OP-ness. XD

And oh, to be fair it was either continuing the anime but do Bleach-like fillers, or go on hiatus until the manga gets further ahead. The choice is pretty obvious, if you ask me.

Actually there are seven Dragon Slayers total, if you include the 2nd gen Slayers (Laxus and Cobra). I have a feeling Oracion Seis is going to get involved with this fight somehow, since Yukino's sister seems almost certain to be Angel, and the anime seems to have warmed up the audience to their return already. If that's true, we might have a Dragon Slayer at the center of every fight coming up.

I hope everyone else still has a chance to do something though. Even if Dragon Slayers are basically the Super Saiyans of the FT-verse, it would be cool to see the rest of the cast play an important role.

Either way, things are getting intense!
