hes being incredibly measured which in its own way is both a good and bad thing.

SunTzu himself said that war is a matter of vital importance to the state, and that you must maintain the will of the people. Our people have allready been engaged in 2 quagmire wars thanks to prior bungling and corruption by the previous administration. Now the looming possibility of a third war without end is soemthing the american people just wont accept.

The action taken in Libya must be a clearly taken objective with a coalition of willing allies sharing the blame and burden. and must have a clear and direct goal; ie protect the libyan people, take out libyan tanks and air power etc.

For that reason and the fact that the Man himself is a very passive individual hes remained very calm and measured. In a way its refreshing to not hear endless belicose ramblings and rhetoric. But at the same time the president is someone who needs to come to the american people with a clear mandate and direct talk. Not delicate political pussy footing so to speak.

Thanks to the prior administrations bungling our reputation worldwide has been tarnished not quite irrevocably but it will take a long time to repair. Thusly our ability to act uni-laterally has been hampered. So well need the support and consent of allied nations especially ones in the Arab league.

He should have gone to congress, he should have passed a formal declaration, and congress would see if it approves or not, an undeclared war...this is what it is. Only Congress has the authorization to send the United States into war, not the President, and certainly not the UN. Is Constitutional, it is libertarian. I used to think that the call for impeachment was a dumb call, but now i think Obama deserves it just as much as Bush and Clinton did.

Nope, still a dumb call, especially since you were talking about fiscal responsibility last page, impeachment is a big waste of your taxpayers money. The american congress has a hard enough time doing anything without something like that to waste more of their time and money.

No need for a declaration of war since this isnt a war. its a military intervention similar to what we did in Kosovo. What Bush did in Iraq and Afghanistan were declared wars, Albeight in Iraqs case the declaration came on the heels of several lies and a lod of misinformation.

And considering that President Bush has not been impeached for his direct lies to congress regarding Iraq, and his orders to torture detainees in clear violation of National and international law, calls for president Obamas impeachment ring as hollow and hypocritical as the calls for president clintons did.

Is been like that for thousands of years ^^ greed and lust for power create empires, and that same greed and lust destroys empires. Seriously, it destroyed the Roman Empire, the Nazi Empire, the Soviet Union, and now it destroyed the United States, there is no more republic, we live in an imperial presidency with an imperial senate. Might as well just cancel elections, it will save us from all that drama and annoyance, if we just put a crown on the presidents head, and call him your highness.
