That's the plan. Though I admit, if it wasn't for the movie, the ending from chapter 700 on Naruto-Bolt would have been the conclusion. Instead, it only makes Naruto look bad because you're telling us that his lesson to his son didn't do anything good. He probably lost like those guys who couldn't understand how Saitama got that powerful. In short, that ending meant nothing.

So Boruto/Sarada go on an adventure having negative thoughts about their father and then in the end realize how great their fathers are? No, scratch that. This is SP. They won't come back realizing how great their fathers are. They'll come back realizing how great Hinata is.

And I lol'd at the 'Sasuke fans were celebrating for having few roles, and Naruto fans were praying for no more roles', seems like bad news is coming to them.

The setting of the hidden leaf village is now like our present day of modern age society, which by the way has the most frequent number of divorces in human history!!! I would be laughing so much because of the fact that he WOULD put something like that in the new generation. And what better way to exemplify that then with the previous series hero/protagonist

Lol at them trying to copy the Dragon Ball formula. Who is Sarada going to get her Piccolo figure from though? The last I checked, she loved her father dearly.

Kishi must be thinking that he can just reset and start anew with fans praising his works will instantly delete the black history called THE LAST.

 

If you want to be precise about it. Even authors can declare their stand alone story (spin off) canon. So basically, TL never needed to be canon in original manga in the first place because part three mini manga series is a "spin off". Not a sequel. That's why Kishi has changed the era and the ninja theme to modern. Kishi and SP thought that NH being canon alone in a spin off and not in the original manga would not satisfied the NHers. That's the reason why this manga is destroyed.

But seriously, they could do that, just to say "hinata is too good for naruto he's just an idiot for never noticing and replying to her confession before !" I would laugj my ass off if this happenned, but it's sadly too good to be true !

Who's to say what will happen in the next few weeks lol but it would make for a surprising development in the story line. Sure current pairing fans would be pissed off but the rage would be like fuel to read more because they would want to know What The kitten Happened and read more to find how!?!?

It's not a shonen anymore (it's not a shojo either ) I'm not saying this is going to happen, but SJ/SP proved us that they're capable of anything like turning a shonen into a pitiful shojo-like manga in which the main character in now hated by its own former fans !

Not only that but if used on a main character in the series curiosity and interest would hook the readers even more to reading it because they would like to know what the hell happened to their pairings and want see how the characters go on from there. From either of the characters getting back together or going their separate ways or finding new relationships.

As long it can be used in the current status of the story line, anything goes.

But again its a what if scenario so it may or may not happen and we'll just have to see where Kishi's and SJ goes with it.

They might be interested. I think the opinions of Japanese fans hold more weight because they are any manga author's main base of support. If a series fails to please them thats a big deal.

What I want to know is if these opinions are more widespread among Japanese fans then they are here in the west.

As for the new miniseries. I hope it fails. Not only that but fails because Kishi makes it purposefully stupid. Part of me still wishes that he sabotaging his own work on purpose.
