So after all the advertisements along with Kishimoto personally announcing to the public that this movie is all about romance, this was the best they could come up with....? 

 

Kishimoto declared that he is bad at drawing romance but it appears he isn't the only one. Whomever it is that helped Kishi come up with this movie sucks at romance as much as him, if not even worse.

 

It doesn't feel like romance, it looks like a joke! 

Well, what were you expecting? They had absolutely nothing to work with. Canon NH consists of Naruto ignoring Hinata except when she or her cousin dies in front of him and Naruto being in love with another girl. What kind of romance can you write with this premise? lt was bound to be forced, syrupy nonsense.

Naruto's supposed love for Hinata:- Jealousy, petulant behavior, whining because the other person did not love you back-- all showing an immature, childish attraction-- This is what they are trying to sell as romance. 

 

Naruto's love for Sakura:- Selflessness, support, understanding-- all showing actual love-- This is what they painted as a weak crush that originated because of a rivalry.

As a SasuSaku fan for the rest of my life I’m utterly disappointed to some SS people who will boycott “The Last” Naruto movie just because of claims that there would be no SS moments on the movie.

I know you want some answers regarding their romantic progress, we all are, but don’t let our emotions of hate and disappointments consume us. Don’t be salty like the other OTPs. Let’s try to be mature and understand that our SasuSaku have the most develop pairing. We are also canon. And we have SasuSaku eyesex. I know you want more, I also want more.
