Yeah, that's about how I feel. You could add Lee Evans to that. I think he should have held on to that pass.

I feel you on that one Nate. The only thing I'd be rooting for, are the commercials.

Bit harsh, but sue me. Both teams got handed victorys, Harbaugh bros couldn't teach some of their guys NOT to choke.

One of them is a disciple of Reid, so that explains that.

I have a co-worker, she previous was a Patriots fan but stopped when the Pats lost to the Giants at Super Bowl XLII. Now she's a Tampa Bay fan and she decided that because of the team's colors. She knows they suck, but she's a fan of theirs anyway. ^^
People just have odd fandoms, sometimes.

I didn't hate the Patriots until the 2007 season (even though they beat my Panthers in 2004) when they decided to dump on the whole league. It was the only time (besides Cowboy games) that I even wanted the Giants to win. Unfortunately, this time the Patriots are quiet the villian they were in 07, so I can't root for anyone this year.
My dad watches a lot of sports, but it was never a big deal in my household when I was growing up and he didn't try to impart any particular team loyalties on me, so I was left to wander and decide on my own. I didn't really become a die hard fan of anybody until my 20's (and this is true of all sports).
For football, I was a bit of a contrarian and the first game I ever saw was Cowboys/Eagles. My dad rooted for the Cowboys so I rooted for the Eagles without understanding a lick of football. The next game I remember caring about was the first Bills/Cowboys Superbowl. Everyone I knew rooted for Dallas, so I rooted for Buffalo. Part of that was also because it was my first contact with Cowboys fans (other than my dad) and they were pretty obnoxious and it continued for the next few years with the whole America's team bit.
So, from 92-95 I was wandered between legtimate anti-Cowboy teams that could beat them. When the Panthers came into existence, I followed them because I thought they were cool. After years of following them closely they became my team (though I still root for everyone else when they play the Cowboys). It was the same for the Rangers and Mavericks. Growing up in Dallas had little to do with it. I spent about half 2000's living in other cities besides Dallas (mostly the San Antonio area), but followed them year after year and it stuck.

Yes, you are not alone.

And to cover up Mik3's question, yes. I've been a huge Patriots fan for 6 years now. 07 Was the biggest let down for my team... ever, but sense I was just getting into the liking of the game, I didn't panic like all the other Patriot fans, not only that, but I was much younger.
Now that my Patriots are in the Super Bowl, everyone from where I live is becoming a bandwagon and saying Patriots are the best, and always have been (they do it every freaking Super Bowl), or they are saying Eli is going to put Brady in his place, when before the playoffs began, everyone said that Eli was gay. Even though it is now Patriots vs Giants, I will stick to believing that Eli is a very good QB, and not in anyway a... guy lover. However, even though Eli is a good QB...
HE IS NO TOM BRADY! NOBODY IN THE NFL IS AS GOOD AS HIM NOW!
Side Note: My new nickname at my school is Brady... I needed one anyway sense I am only a freshmen.

...would you consider Tom Brady as the Greasest QB of all-time? Belichick as the Greatest NFL Coach of all-time?

Nope, just the QB and the Coach whose team won this year.

Not the greatest but one of the greatest for each. I think it's fair to put Belichick up there with Noll, Landry and Walsh.

Why would someone do that?

Super Bowl is so close! Everyone needs to remember they are going to have to remember to order in the pizza really early, else you'll be getting it at the halftime show.
