hhahahaha seriously though. the jailers in impel down must have seen seen some messed up stuff to awaken their df. the worst criminals live in there so it makes sense xD.

i really don't know what evil you have to experience in order to awakening it. it  all depends on what oda finds evil i guess?

Well, I mean are you more open to the idea of the awakening now that we've got some kind of explanation behind it?

yeah just a bit. i'll love it if/when oda has luffy getting near to awakening his df. i think it would be great for luffy's character.

Well, it's still possible, because he still has a lot to go through. Luffy is already unique amongst shonen main characters in that Luffy is amoral. He's still going to struggle with what it means to beat Blackbeard and Akainu, will he just beat them? Or will he finally kill them? He's gonna have to face a lot of struggles from here on, so he might make a stance.

So theres been the question of whether or not chopper's monster point is his devil fruits awakening, I posted this on another forum in regards to it:

 

"Actually, the thought that chopper's monster point is his awakening could be true. I remember during the CP9 fights, there was the flashback before chopper used the third rumble ball, Kureha explicitly said that eating the third pill "caused his devil to run wild" or something like that. It's probable that chopper might have already awakened his fruit through his medicine."
