Yeah I don't get it either , but the homeland fanbase should have the last word bc its meant for their market and that's where they get their profit from mostly , not for foreignness  for us its like a good bonus .

Any idea why  Senzaemon didn't just spilled the beans in here !? . What's so secret that he'll eventually hear about it !? . Is it something about why he left Tootsuki !? 

I really think it has to do with Soma's mother. Gin confirmed that they really didn't get in contact after the academy, so that means he would know Yukihara before he left. Otherwise, he wouldn't put the pieces together that Yukihara is Joichiro's "last name."

True True all I see now days is just complaining and most of the time they make no sense bc it has no basis for it yet and are to rush to judge , I mean sometimes and some stories  does deserve the critics  (like Nardo) and are right to do so but most of the times they're rush to judge bc the story isn't going how "they would like it" for stupid reasons . Not following the author and the story he's trying to write and trying to twist to suit your needs its a big NONO !!! .

Yeah that's totally possible and would be great , I would like to know more about his mom . I'm still waiting for the story about his mom's death and why Soma decided ti be a cook the impact it had on him like the author said . But I think it will also have something to do with Azami and why he left and not graduating , even Soma was confused about that .

Can someone who watched the series finale confirm that the end really felt like this ANN review suggests? I've only watched upto the battle at the hotel arc, but I thought the anime was following the manga pretty close, this review makes it sound like they were more conclusive, with doubts on them getting the second season, and had strong hints of Souma/Megumi.

 

From what I've watched so far it doesn't seem to hint towards S/M so i'm not sure if I'm missing something, or after Naruto, people  think any interation between the MC and a shy girl is considered strong flags by the viewers.

Hm, funny how the thread is so lighted than MH threads, though I don't know what's going on there.

That said one post from there did make me think. At first I thought it was a hate post on the pairing but it's not, rather a good point. One said that he/she hope that this event will make them canon, rather take the use of all 3 years to become one. So that's understandable.

What do you think? Do you want them to be canon after this arc is over (though depends if Soma does save Erina) or do you want them to take it all the way to the last year?

I don't agree on pushing the Soma/Megumi paring as the final it was the usual Soma cheering her up and she blushed over it , then she proceed thanking him saying its all bc of him helping her and Soma being his oblivious self (you know like it was in the manga) , there was enough paring fanservice for every side  Soma/Erina , Soma/Megumi , Soma/Nikumi  so I think that part is just a personal opinion . Its true that the whole feeling in the end in general is camaraderie .

 

The feeling it gave in the end that the Anime is finishing with this season its true though , I got that vibe from it too .

I would like them to go canon after this arc the sooner the better , but on the other hand I'm not sure if the development would be enough for that , I don't want it to be rushed . So maybe in their second or third year would be be better for that .

Well since Joichiro's part remain a mystery, I guess we have more to cover with Erina being part of the focus. For now, this is about her lifestyle altered by her own father.

Well that's true and its not just that , there's still plenty of mystery that needs to be solved . Which is why I think it would be to soon to happen at the end of this arc , I at least expect for Erina to warm up to Soma  after this , and then gradually develop the paring from there a bit more so it can sail .

I watched bits of the episode but didn't get the feeling that it was finishing with the season, more that they wanted to give the season a acceptableending, if they'd ended it like the manga they would have left it on a question mark and that would have upset the Anime only viewers upset. I think the fact they chose to end it at the end of the first round of the contests shows they are atleast hopefull for a second season, otherwise +-they'd have ended with a original ending, specially as the last few episodes are just the prologue to a much bigger arc.

 

This is J.C Staff, they tend to make smaller seasons then go onto their next project and then come back to their older projects later...I know I've been waiting for Toaru Majitsu no Index new season for years, but still haven't got one, I know the fanbase is big enough for a third season, Instead we are getting Heavy Object, which is another LN series from the auther of Toaru, (Seriously some of these writers blow my mind, they have two LN series as well as two seperate spin off Mangas all running at the same time.

Yeah !!! I suppose its gonna be interesting in a funny way , like being shocked or pissed and going full Tsundere   . But we'll see when that moment comes , I think we're close to that with these events going on  .

Yeah , like I said it was more of a personal bias then anything imo , in fact the anime added an small extra scene of Erina going Tsundere over  Soma and his cooking after the canon scene , but that wasn't stated in the review I think , so who's pushing who really !?

 

Oh you didn't watched the ending !? . It was the ending and how they made it like saying "farewell"  that gave that feeling the most .

 

I suppose you're right about that (though it sucks that you're waiting for so long for them ) but  there's certainly a hope for Season 2 bc of the great reviews and all  so not everything is lost . But going by what you say about the anime staff I wonder  how long we'll have to wait for it !?

Well it is known that they have been advertising them in ads, so it's just that well, Soma and Erina aren't technically friends, so it's hard to ship tease them at that state. If the season ended like after this arc, then expect double doses.

LOL That's true , though they use almost ever chance they have when they're together , like that bumping/humming scene (I still can't stop laughing at Soma's humming that was hilarious)  .
