I have no idea why Viz cancelled the serialization of Gintama :( The US spends money on the wrong shounens (Naruto, To Love Ru, Highschool of the Dead, Akami ga Kill)...
HOTD had only 12 episodes, I doubt it gathered big part of money xD

I hope that they will not animate serious arc for another 26 episodes, that's exactly how many episodes they can do with material that is left before serious arcs come into play (I mean next 26, after they are done with 26 that is ongoing now).
And yet I think that best WSJ adaptation is JJBA in all 3 parts.
I don't mind it if they animate 26 more comedy episodes. I want to see all those chapters and arcs they've skipped.

Oh well, I was just throwing some bad shounens out there, of which some of them surprisingly were not cancelled.
I was just talking about mangas XD

I honestly have no authority to say anything about this b/c I've never seen the original series, but to me any kind of best WSJ adaptation I've ever seen must be the OVA series Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal. kittening beautiful.

OVA is original, and had nothing to do with manga itself and (but as I remember author of manga was involved into developing of OVA's), and others - I didn't saw. Whatever, JJBA - is a longest manga in history that didn't had animation series (25 years), and it was animated closely to original manga, it had seyu of both Gin and Takasugi in it, seyu of Kakashi, and other notable seyu's, it's openings and endings - are classic music from 80's, and so far - it has the best "ending scene that goes into credits" scene I ever saw in any anime.

Yeah, yeah, I know, it's an ova series and shouldn't be put into the same category as ongoing anime, but still XD
Why would an OVA not follow the manga? They are not always original. Sometimes, they just continue stuff from the manga after the anime has ended.
The OVA is following the manga mostly as far as I know of it. They just left out the comedic parts and twisted the OVA in certain parts. There's a reason why people seem to say that the OVA overtrumps the original series.

Oh, I didn't hear about those OVA's ? I think you was talking about OVA's that was about Kenshin's end.

Oh, yeah, that was original. I know he never died in the manga XD
I was talking about the OVA series before that, the one where he met Tomoe.

Well, Gintama has a shot. HxH won't move since the manga won't. Togashi. Anyway, well, it's definitely going to stay at top, unless they hired guys who did SP rank C team or DBS anime team for episode 5, the score will be steady. I think it can be done in 13 episodes. This arc was the longest one yet. It's incredibly story heavy. I just wonder the tone will remain the same. Then again, after that decapitation scene, I think we're good to go. Shocking, because Naruto couldn't show it. What time does Gintama air? Man, for no reason, I'm about to buy that rare Blu-Ray Gintama movie that actually had a dub. Don't care if it was crap, this series man. If it has a foot, I would kiss it.Number 2 is Steins;Gate. I love that series to death, but I always thought that it was a bit overrated on both MAL and ANN... Glad to see HxH in the top 5 though. I'm hoping for it to go up one day and maybe be rank 3 or 2. I'm always waiting to see if there is a series that can possibly overtop Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
And I think HxH or Gintama can do that. It'd be boring if that list always remained static, right?

Not a fan of AgK, huh? I haven't seen/read, so I got no comment. USA still needs to work more grounds. But I do appreciate the top 10 from last week. Looks like a dream of mine. Sort of.
Oh, I know it won't move (It will just go down from now on, lol). I was talking about when the Dark Continent gets animated. By then you and I might have grandkids, who knows.
You really got me hype for the anime and what is to come in the future >O< Ehh, I heard the dub... It was worse than crap tbh. But if that gives you some solace, buy it XD
I dunno... I saw the anime to AgK. I dropped it long before it went down its original route, meaning what I saw was following pretty much the manga... This time, I really think AgK was too edgy for me.

Yeah, kids would be wondering how long we had to wait and I'll be like "1 x X. Find the x." Hey, I'm teaching him/her. Bad dub, huh. Who was the studio that did Gintama? I feel like they need to be pick up by Funimation. This series needs to be exposed. I feel like hijacking Comic Con.Oh, I know it won't move (It will just go down from now on, lol). I see. Well, I guess I have to see for myself.
No idea who was in charge for that horrible dub.
Have you watched movie 2 yet ?
I personally don't think AgK is worth it... I'd rather recommend you Magi or Noragami.

Now you understand...xD What chapter you're in? We thought that Gintama wouldn't return being funny when these arcs were happeningOh my god, stop it. This arc is insane too. I got the horrible vibe. The guy needs a theme music.

Imao, you're welcome XD
I'll definitely watch/read the series one day. Heard the Kyoto Arc was one of the best shounen arcs from the nineties.
