Actually the spoilers for the movie around the time of the manga release was from Tumblr and a Chinese site that we didn't know much about, and that confirmed the kids were real, as well as a few other tidbits, so if this is real or not cannot be completely dismissed.
Not that it matters, it's not like the ending will change we know Naruto ends up with Hinata, we know Sakura is encouraging Hinata, and I think the part about Sakura telling NAruto his love was nothing more than a pissing contest with Sasuke is also confirmed. So killing off Karin is not out of the realm of possability, the movie has been proven to be a farce anyway, might as well kill any love we have for the charactors while we are at it.
There was allot made out of that idiot NaruSaku fan who made the 'Ban Naruto' Petition, but if Naruto was a popular comic from Marvel, there would very likely be a media fanfare with feminist groups demanding the comic be banned for depicting women the way they have, and probably even parent demanding a recall for the unsuitable message it gives to their children.
The "Chinese website" you mention was Baidu.com, which is basically the Chinese version of Google and Wikipedia rolled into one. There are also forums, and one of those forums was the Naruto forum. So someone leaked all the character renders, possibly by accessing the official website's uploaded photos. It happens to video games all the time.
No "online petition" will have an impact on anything, especially not any feminist groups. Feminist groups criticised the "surprise sex" scene of a formerly trafficked prostitute (who was then brutally killed in the next scene) in the James Bond movie and... Nothing happened.
Online petitions are equivalent to a three year old whining in the middle of a grocery store: seriously, nobody cares. People were laughing at them back in the Neopets days. Why are they remotely considered to be serious business now? Parents right groups occasionally get cartoons removed from the air, BUT Naruto and other anime are usually shown outside "kids hours" and are given proper ratings.
No one is going to ban the series just because the ending is terrible.
