Ah ! It's good to hear that they can do a good job sometimes...but I guess it's because this manga isn't as popular as Naruto ! 
Anyway, I'll give it a try ! 

So I am not the only one who doesn't like Ao Haru Ride ! I've read a few chapters and I don't know why, it didn't attract me that much, it seemed to me like it was like any other basic shojo manga...But I'll maybe watch the movie... 
Gintama is an amazing manga ! I've only watched 40 episodes, and I already love it !

Ugh, saw the anime to Ao Haru ride. Boring. Nothing new or original. I'm reading Orange right now, and I like that a lot more. Yeah, I really liked the adaptation to akatsuki no Yona. Fighting could have been better, but oh well. Imao, what did you get spoilered.

It's hard to find really good ones T_T So far, I have yet to find something that is better than Kodomo no Omocha for me.

Well, my friends said that it goes against all that shoujo is about. The anime was Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki kun. I watched it because science. Idk. It has some funny scenes. But I believe they refer to the fact that the girl was expecting his shoujo romance and it begins with her confessing but he takes it as she admires him (he's a mangaka) and he gives her an autograph And everytime its supposed to be like a shoujo-cliche, it turns to be the other way (?)

The MC is a young boy that's why it's called shounen.
If the MC is a young girl, it's called shoujo.

To determine if a manga is a shonen, shoujo, kodomo, seinen, or josei. You should see what demographic the magazine that serialize the manga.

For example : medaka box has female character as main character. It's a shonen manga because it serialize in weekly shonen jump.

It's a romantic comedy shoujo from the nineties. It revolves around the cheerful 11-year old Sana who is a famous child actress. Nevertheless, she attends school normally and lives together with her (crazy) adoptive mother, and a bodyguard on whom she has a crush (initially). Sana meets Akito whose character is the absolute opposite of her: violent, pessimistic, the troublemaker type. So yeah, over the course of the story, they become good friends and get closer. The manga has a rather funny type of humor that I have yet to see in other shoujos tbh. Not for everyone b/c I wouldn't necessarily say that Sana behaves realistically at all

EDIT: Come to think of it, there was one kittened up scene in that manga that I will never forget...

Actually I disagree. I think Hinata is what they display to be the ideal female. In Naruto, women need a man in their life and if they don't they are going to be miserable. Just look at Sakura, she's a single mom and she can't keep Sasuke interested in staying around so she ended up as one of the most miserable characters in the series. It's disgusting.

So If I wrote a novel revolving around Sakura, having known her character, this is what it would've been if it was canon. 

 

 

Btw, this would be set a few hours after Naruto left to train with Jiraiya. 

 

Prologue of What My Sakura Novel Would Be

It was ten o'clock in the morning when my mother called out my name in order for me to wake up. Usually this wouldn't be a problem for me one bit, but today's different. Team 7 was about split, and take their own individual path. Naruto was just about to begin his journey with Master Jiraiya, and he's probably already gone. Sasuke already chose his path that very night when I brought myself in tears and begged him "Don't leave me." That hurt, it really did on the inside what I once believed shattered to a million pieces.

I could never forgive him for what he did that night, despite everything I did he still left. Sasuke Uchiha, the one I once thought was cool, who I was clinging towards for all these years. That's when I realized it was all a waste. What I could've done was prove myself to be something more, but instead I ended up making myself look worse.

This was one of the reasons why I pledged in oath to him that I'd be on the road with him to bring Sasuke back not because I feel the same way as I did before, but to prove myself as a member of Team 7 that i can do much more than sit around wait for someone to rescue me.

 

I spent a good thirty minutes myself prepared for the training exercise with Lady Tsunade. Of course, my parents wanted me to eat some toast and milk before I went towards the mansion. It only took me about twenty minutes before I walked out the door to The Hokage Mansion. The distance between my house and The Hokage Mansion was only five to ten minute walk. Now all it took was a few steps before I came across the door to the office, and I gently knocked on the door. 

 

"Come in." 

 

My hands gently tilted the doorknob as I stepped into her office closing the door behind me, "Lady Tsunade, I'm here for the training session you set up with me yesterday evening." 

 

"Well you're right on time that's for sure, but before we do so.." Tsunade handed me a scroll, "I wanna give this to you." 

 

I quickly raised an eyebrow, "What's this?" 

 

"A certain someone wrote something to you, wanted to make sure you received it." Lady Hokage explained. 

 

From there, I took the scroll from her in order to read who had written it.

 

Dear Sakura,

 

I'm going to be gone for a while, well  three years to be accurate. Truth is I wanted to say goodbye before I left on my training with Pervy-Sage but he was getting pretty impatient so I wrote what I could in here to you, and made sure I'm gonna miss you while I'm away. You probably mean a lot to me more than what you think, but you always thought of Sasuke first which is why I made that pledge before the mission took place yesterday. Don't worry I'm still gonna keep that promise, and do whatever it takes to bring him back no matter the cost. When I do get back I'm gonna sit my sights on Ichiraku and knowing me I'd like if you could come when that day arrive. I'm not sure what else to say, but Take care of yourself and wait until I return. It'll be the first stepping stone of Team 7's revival, you can count on that.

A smile rose from my face. One that was filled with satisfaction and a small ray of warmth.  That's when I thought to myself, You idiot I'm gonna miss seeing your face in Konoha until then. From there I placed the scroll in my pocket and turned my attention back to Lady Tsunade.

"Of course."

ah I'm rewatching it thesedays ! I absolutely love it ! it's a pity that the anime has only 12 episodes...but it's really good imo: all the characters are likable (I personally prefer the tsundere guy) original and funny !
