First of all she bumped into Rito's place, then there's the marriage thing, later Momo wants to buildup a harem for Rito.

 

First while The Harem plan is an over arcing goal, the main plot is focusing on Yami, Mea and Nemesis and has been increasingly as the story progressed.

 

Second, as I said, the original series had no plot, so Darkness couldn't have killed the plot when there was no plot to begin with, as I said the longest story arc was 6 chapter long, hell the closet thing the original series had to an over arching plot was if Rito didn't marry Lala, Gid would blowup the Earth, and that ended before a year of serialization.

 

And finally, we are way off topic so if we're gonna continue this debate let's do so through PM.

Just finished reading chapter 663. I have a few things I'd like to say about it.

 

Probably like the majority of the rest of you, I was pretty...surprised to say the least, when I saw what Sakura did. However, I have seen what the opposing fanbases have been saying, and I can't help but agree with some of the things they're saying. What Sakura did was CPR. It's a kiss, true enough, but is it a kiss that really says "I love you"? No, it isn't. I want to celebrate this chapter as much as I can, but I don't think it's time to say NS is confirmed or cannon yet. Here's my main reason:

 

It's a complete possibility that Sakura has performed CPR on several other people before Naruto who could have been in even worse situations and closer to death than he is now. So, in my own opinion, I don't know how well the CPR thing is really in our favor. 

 

But what's peeking my curiosity is what Sakura was thinking by saying 'your dream is right in front of your eyes." Was she referring to herself and giving into her feelings for Naruto? Or was she actually talking about his dream of being Hokage? I'm leaning towards the hokage dream considering the flashbacks she was having. But it's still possible she was talking about herself.

 

Also, Sakura kissed Naruto twice. Could there be a hidden message that maybe she liked it and wanted more? It's probably unlikely, but I'm just coming up with ideas right now. I just hope Kishi keeps focusing on Naruto and Sasuke and doesn't go back to the minor characters such as Hinata, Kiba, etc.

 

Can't wait for next chapter. I'm very curious about what's going to happen when Naruto wakes up and Gaara tells him what Sakura did 

 

No doubt Sakura's going to have a Tsundere moment of embarrassment and send Naruto into orbit XD.

Yes, I have seen the comments from the other fandom as well, and yes, it's CPR, not romantic, however. What made it romantic is her thoughts about his dream, much like the chunnin written exams, may not seem very romantic to many, but it's plenty romantic to me! A girl supporting a guys dream is huge, and it's important to have a girl that supports ya right? Sakura does that, and only with Naruto nowadays.

It's clear she not only believes in him, but supports him to her fullest, he already considers her his girlfriend, that's what he told his dad after all,and her tsundere ways are going to be what they are In a shounen...it's not going to be fluffy and sparkly like sailor moon..this manga is too gritty for that. It's good enough considering that this isn't a time for romance. I picture we will get a great final narusaku moment after the fighting is done with. I have said it before in YouTube comments, but I really think this is going to play out like the pein arc, only, it's going to be so much better then just a hug this time....

As enjoyable as the CPR is, I feel like we shouldn't take it too literally. Most of us aren't and I like that, but we still need to point this out. I'm definitely liking the fact that Sakura touched Naruto's lips a few times, but I don't consider it as total proof for canon. It was nice and the shipper side enjoys it, but nothing more. I think the more meaningful part was just how desperate Sakura was to have Naruto live. She's pulling out all the stops. I have never Sakura that determined to have someone be alive. At least not to the extent of hastily done open heart surgery. And her thoughts on his dream and those looks she gave him at the end of the chapter held so much emotion and how some part of her was afraid she would lose him even though she's not giving up. That was NaruSaku and that's what supports our pairing.

 

It's interesting to me how Sakura didn't seem to have her epiphany of her true feelings for Naruto considering she didn't break down fast enough before Gaara told her there was a way to save him. From a writing stance, I think this means Sakura will either have an entire black moment if Minato bringing Naruto back has complications or that Sakura will realize she loves him when she sees Naruto awake and alive again. I can picture both, but I'm favoring the second one. Sakura losing composure, sobbing her eyes out, and hugging Naruto in her relief to see him alive seems like a very good way to have her know she loves him. A moment like that seems so sweet and emotional. 

 

Though about the CPR ... why do I have the feeling Naruto will be such a smug bastard when he finds out and start flirting with her about it just to piss her off/tease her?

Agreed, like I said the moment itself isn't romantic but it sets up so many possible pairing moments for the next couple chapters.

I'm laughing a little because so many people here want to remind others that "it's only CPR" and yet it seems that no one is disagreeing. So to who exactly are we directing that at?

 

Have a little more trust, I think everybody agrees that CPR is not romantic. What's touching is Sakura's dedication to Naruto.

 

What I don't get is why people want her to start getting emotional already. She know that Naruto can be saved and she's literally keeping him alive, for which she needs complete focus. Sakura is not getting emotional because she knows there's a solution and she's determined to see that solution realized not matter what.

 

Now if putting the other Kurama in Naruto doesn't stop his death and she ends up desperately trying to keep him alive while she notices that his life is about to end..... (In Bane's voice) only then does she have my permission to cry.

I wonder if Naruto sees Karin doing that chain for the first time, he will notice that she is an Uzumaki, let alone similar power to his mother. Perhaps that will happen soon. It does feel like this whole Uzumaki placed on Karin is expanding. Good, because I was beginning to think what is the purpose.
