That logic does not apply in anime. See Hinata part 1 VS Hinata part 2, or Nami pre timeskip VS post timeskip.

I think short hair matches Sakura's personality more, but long hair would be beautiful at least from fanart.

Well, he's old school. I'm just saying. Plus it's matter of preference.

As for Sakura's future, it's hard to say. On one hand, I have seen characters grow hair after marriage. On the other hand, they keep it short as they're more matched to it. Really hard to say.

You should ask him? It's stated in the 3rd databook.

Don't forget that Sakura is a close-range battle ninja (she's a med, but when it comes to fighting her specialization is close-range fight). She doesn't have Hashirama's wood style or Hyuuga's gentle fist.. Remeber her fight vs Sound ninjas? She had to cut off her hair in order to survive.

Though I don't think she will grow it out. After Minato complemented her hair, Kushina grew to love her hair even more and let it grow longer than it already was. Since Sakura can't really grow her forehead, I think that she will always keep her hair in a ponytail after Naruto tells her that he loves her forehead so everyone can see it better.

He's a lot smarter than he looks. Though you know how most of the main characters have some kind of super finisher.
