The tarot description is absolutely nothing like Sakura has ever been. Oh and I find it interesting that you would dig up a far more negative interpretation of the tarot Queen of Swords than I've ever seen (And as well, it shows just how invalid whatever place you dug that mess up at- it's not Spades in Tarot, it's Swords) .

I'm Wiccan and do regularly use the tarot for possible clues on the way my near future may be moving. That was nothing like any interpretation of the Queen of Swords that I know, and I've been Wiccan for 27 years. Sorry, but no dice th_tongue.gif on your attempt. Oh and and on top of everything else that is a playing card set, not a tarot set. The card sets are very different, and those differences also apply to how they are used for divination. In tarot you also have two interpretations based on whether the card comes up upright or up side down (called reversed in interpretation.)

In correct tarot meaning the Queen of Swords symbolizes someone who understands sadness of loss. A woman who has suffered a lot of pain but survived. Now that sounds like Sakura. If you want to use tarot meanings. (reversed meaning is a narrow minded person with rigid opinions who is too focused on unimportant things.)

The Ace of Swords symbolizes great determination and success. (reversed it's failure, humiliation, self-destructiveness, and creating your own obstacles)

The King of Swords symbolizes a man who is connected law enforcement, government or business management and knowledgeable in that subject. (Reversed it's a highly intelligent man who is full of evil intent and cruelty.)

The Knight (Knight in Tarot=Jack in playing cards.) of Swords symbolizes an action orientated person, full of energy and exuberance. (hmm that doesn't sound much like Kakashi... the reverse doesn't either- someone who is indiscreet and impulsive)

The Minor Arcana in Tarot have a King, Queen, Knight and Page court cards, then Ace (which is only the number 1 in Tarot,) through 10 cards. King and Queen are used to signify adult men and women in Tarot, Knight is a young man, Page is usually for a young woman, or a young child of either gender. (which is why the page looks so androgynous in tarot).

And the person who said the spade suites is the typical one used when showing playing cards images in ads is correct I don't know why though. Spades tend to be associated with pain, death and loss... Oh, and having bought official anime tie in playing cards the same characters usually appear on all the suites. In other words Sakura will also be Queen of Hearts, Diamonds and Clubs... Sometimes they vary the pose of the character on the suits, sometimes it's the same image across the suits.

Tarot Suits and their playing somewhat comparable card suits- Swords- Spades, Wands-Clubs, Cups- Hearts, Pentacles- Diamonds. Then in tarot you also have the Major Arcana that use persons or things in even more symbolic ways. There are 78 cards in tarot, 52 in playing cards.

There's a lot of different explanations for Tarot that why i said just coincidence

I wonder why Minato and Kushina are still all smexy looking? Shouldn't they be a little older? Or maybe they came along in the genjutsu with Naruto's chakra. Or maybe Tobi included them as a distraction, in that universe..they should be in their 40's.

Might be because Tobi includes them as a distraction. But right now everything goes.

That is perhaps true, but many anime and manga characters have kept they're young looks. Example is Konan, who I believe was as old as Kushina would have been if she was alive.

So, Konan is going to be in this movie. wub.gif But she'll probably be a minor background character. shamefulcry0js.gif shamefulcry0js.gif shamefulcry0js.gif There's just one thing that doesn't make sense.. Why are the Akatsuki in this movie? What's their purpose? headscratch.gif

Actually I think she might even be slightly older than Kushina, if i'm not mistaken, Jiraiya trained Konan and the Ami-Orphans for three year before he went back to Konoha and took on a Genin Team with Minato, and from the looks of it Konan looked around 13/14 when Jiraiya left them, so she is maybe a year or two older. The wonders of Anime/Manga, charactors stop aging sometime, Konon looked the same whe she died as the day she was taken hostage by Hanzou...all those years ago. Look at Shizune according to the databook she is is around 31 but doesn't look much older than Anko who is 24.

That's really a cute drawing, I hope it's too show how loving he is as a father and not to show him being a completely whipped wimp who et bossed around by his wife all the time, it is a AU Genjutsuverse so it's possible Kushina and Minato are different as well, that said I do find it strnge that every charactor we've seen so far appears different in the Genjutsu...except Minato and Kushina.

Older actually. Jiraiya spent the three years with Ame orphans before he came back to Konoha and became Minato and his team mate's sensei. (Jiraiya became the leader of the Genin team Minato was on when Minato was 10 years old. The Ame orphans were around 10 when Jiriaya chose to stay with them, around 13 when he left.) The Ame orphans were around 8 years younger than Jiraiya, where Minato and Kushina were about 11 years younger. (the Ino-Shika-Cho fathers were 13 years younger than the Sanin.) So Konan would have been around 46 when she died.

Prior to Kushina's flashback ( with what looks like a strong hint Mikoto Uchiha was the same age as Kushina and Minato... It was clear Mikoto had been friends with Kushina since they were young, making them very likely classmates at the Academy. She may have even been the dark haired kid on the Genin team with Minato- that same kid was sitting behind Minato when they were around 6-7 years old in the Academy, when Kushina was brought to Konoha.) I thought Minato and Kushina had been the same age as the Ino-Shika-Cho fathers- two years younger. But Kushina's flashback looks to have set their ages at 27 when they died. (Making the Ame orphans 30 years old that year) Yahiko died sometime during the during the Third Ninja war (which ended around a year before Naruto was born) when he was between 25-30 years old (remember Chouji saw Yahiko's animated corpse and reported to Tsunade that he looked to be between 25-30 years old). So Konan and Nagato were around 46 when they died.

The only reason why I believe Minato and Kushina won't change too much is because Naruto doesn't know his parents and all their habits that well. He's heard stories and he's met them, but he doesn't truly know them if you know what I mean.

Even if they were switched, would we really be able to tell? Would Naruto be able to tell? I don't think so.

Edit: I mean personality, not age.

The spoilers said Minato and Kushina would not be affected by Tobi's genjutsu. That's why I theorized the bit of chakra they stored in Naruto activated when Naruto and Sakura get drawn into Tobi's genjutsu. (A protective trigger whenever their child was in life threatening danger.) The recent twitter spoilers said that Naruto (and likely Sakura too) think they are a product of Tobi's genjutsu, but at some point Naruto and Sakura figure out they aren't (maybe Minato and Kushina say something and Sakura researches it and discovers that they are telling the truth- then would come the plot line where Sakura, Minato, Naruto and Kushina try to figure out how to break the genjutsu.)

QUOTE (harry4e @ Jun 9 2012, 11:01 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Spoilers stated that Minato and Kushina would not be affected by Tobi's genjutsu, so it would almost have to be something like my theory. Harry, Kishimoto has shown that the men who marry strong willed women are quite happy to follow their lady's lead at home as married men- it comes with some mighty fine benefits, if you get my drift. wink.gif You treat a strong willed woman that way she gets very tender and falls passionately (in all senses of that word) in love with you- and it's the kind of love that stays strong forever. Of course Kushina "bosses Minato around" at home- remember one of the things that was said between Minato and Kushina- she wins all the arguments, he convinced her enough in their last argument to let him win. Yoshino "bosses around" Shikaku at home, but notice his knowing smile when he answered Shikamaru's whinging about that, and Shikaku's words- "someday you'll find out..."

This type romantic partnership becoming the ideal comes from the incredible worldwide social influence of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. (Even my parents agreed with that statement and they were born in the 1930's- my dad is the same age as Yoko Ono.) John and Yoko popularized a new type of romantic relationship throughout the industrialized world of completely equal partners (reaching as far as the then Soviet Union- Gorbachev and his wife Raisa were profoundly influenced by John and Yoko's style of relationship, and modeled their own on that.) where if circumstances had the woman being the lead at certain times the man wasn't the least bit put out by that, in fact they adore the fact that their spouse is that strong, and in turn the wife is very tender when the man shows her his personal pain. The man and woman love each other on a almost spiritual level as well as a passionate level.

For my and Kishimoto's generations across the industrialized world a relationship like John and Yoko's became the great romantic ideal. Men also became intensely interested in being a real present father to their children, like John Lennon did for Sean his first 5 years. Some men even taking the same path- becoming "househusbands" while their wives became the "breadwinners".

So basically, they enter an alternate universe where the only unchanged is Naruto, Sakura, and his parents. Hmmm, I wonder how the Kyuubi will play into all of this, and that if Naruto and Sakura would be aware that they were under a Genjutsu.
