Only someone who want's NH to happen at any cost will desire something like this and who his better than Sakura the main obstacle in NH's way.

Trust me there will be no dying for NH from Sakura's part.

One thing we need to remember,
~ Naruto really believes that Sakura can love Sasuke and only Sasuke, only Sakura can change that.

~ Sai told Sakura that Naruto is hiding how much pain he feels because of Sakura and Sasuke (Naruto will have to contradict this statement)

~ Lastly the only way NH can happen at this point without betraying Naruto's character and his feelings for Sakura, Kishimoto uses Kushina's advise to make Naruto consider Hinata feelings for him.

Right there Naruto is not betraying his character he is choosing the easy happiness with the excuse that he is fallowing his mothers advice.

The problem is that Kishimoto will be the one betraying on his own story since it's a fact that no one in this Manga cares about Naruto more than Sakura, Hinata might love him but they are not in a long relationship where they becomes partners and best friends.
The other fact is that Hinata seems more interested in Naruto noticing her, being equal to Naruto and him liking her back, while Sakura worries about Naruto in every single way.
So Kushina's advice will apply to Sakura regarding the one who cares and loves him the most and if the focus is on her personality then there is no debate.

Naruto knows Hinata loves him.
But Sakura doesn't now many thing about Naruto, like risking everything just to see her happy despite his own happiness, the bench scene, the fact that she is one of his most precious person and many other things Naruto feels about Sakura.

With Naruto he does not know about Yamato's speech, he hasn't acknowledge how far Sakura she will go for him and what is her true feelings towards him.

So there you have it.
One of the girls thinks about Naruto's future and dream while wants to help him in some way so his dreams becomes a reality, meanwhile the other one try to picture her self as his wife.

If Kishi believes that a woman should devote their life for a man, then NH will happen, but if Kishi believe that all relationship should develop true bond, genuine care and understanding NS will definitely be the end game since the Manga itself supports it.

Putting Naruto to do everything to Sakura and even changing her just to give it as a gift to Sasuke?
THe only mutual relationship that i see is Naruto and Sakura, NaruHina is one-sided and based on one character only.

A lot of people still deny the fact that Sakura started to move on from "loving" Sasuke long ago. Her thoughts and action since the beginning of Part II are focused on helping Naruto bring Sasuke back, to save their friend, their comrade.. She knows how much Sasuke makes Naruto suffer, that's why she was willing to make Naruto hate her, but to put an end to his pain. The confession/attempt of killing Sasuke, as well as her previous (4 tails mode) and current actionsWar Arc is to help Naruto reach their dream: save their friend and bring back those happy days when they lived peaceful life. She knows that only Naruto is capable of saving Sasuke, she puts all her faith in him and supports him as much as she can.

Just look how much she changed since Part I. Near the end of Part I she made a promise that she won't stand and watch how her friends suffer, she will become stronger and next time will help Naruto bring Sasuke back. And what do wee see 3 years later? She's become a top level med-nin, enormously strong with sharp mind. When Naruto feels down, she always comforts him, encourages to keep fighting ("Crying won't make Sasuke come back, Naruto"), Naruto on the other hand gives her hope and faith (her thoughts on her way to the battlefield).

She admitted that it's Naruto who always understands her... He was always by her side, protecting her.

Now we just have to wait for her to make up her mind and admit to herself that the person she truly loves is in fact Naruto.

And they were really tactical about it too. I don`t mean anything but could be a military assault and it wouldn`t be as effective. I mean think about it:

1. They send a guy who does nothing wrong to get us fighting
2. They way till we start fighting eachother
3. They wait till we feel bad
4. They send a guy that was clearly hostile
5. Wait for us to get even more pissed while we fight even more
6. Then they drop the bomb with the most logical person they have.

Its probably not on purpose, or organised but from a tactical standpoint: Shikamaru Likes it.

OK let me make this straight I already agree with most of you point is the past more of your point are fact that I also support with out the degrading aspect, but anyway that was not my point, my point is that Kishi does not have a valid reason for Naruto to move on from loving Sakura, he likes her since they were 8 or 9 while she only had eye for another man but that never stopped him from trying, what makes this worst now is that Sakura is becoming closer and closer to Naruto to a point where she wants to give herself a chance with him despite her feelings for someone else. What would happen if the feelings she have for Sasuke completely fades away because of their development.

I mean that Kishi at this point does not have any solid reason for Naruto to move on from loving Sakura only if he use Kushina advice has a plot twists while ignoring the obvious fact that NS is MK 2.0

Naruto giving up on Sakura will be like giving up on his own character and his never give up mentality, but it you force in Kushina advice event when it clearly doesn't fit NH at all it will look like Naruto fulfilling his mother last wish in her memory.

Again this is only if Kishimoto want to force NH on the readers, this will be his only excuse to change Naruto's feelings since there is no other valid reason to do so.
This is why I say Naruto will not be betraying his character since he is following one of his mother last wish.

On the other hand Kishi will be the one who betrayed on his main character to give more value to a side character, he will be the one betraying on his own story since NS is the only pairing that has being develop from top to bottom in this manga while only needing one more push for them to become an official pairing mostly because their feelings were slowly but steadily develop on both sides through the Manga.

I think that even with Kushina Naruto still doesn`t have a reason to move on.

Would It honestly be fair to Naruto if his mothers last wish was to give up on his live love and start loving Hinata. Would he really do it? Better question would Kushina want him to if she knew about Sakura?
I would love to see the moment when Minato met Sakura. Infact thats a dialoge idea that I will write extremy soon.

The "i hate people who lie to themselves" is the same, Naruto would rather have Sakura honest than lying. The times she was concerned most for naruto, the reveal about the nine tails and what happens to jinchurki if their tailed beasts were removed, the 4 tails event, and the reveal from sai. Those were 100% real emotions Sakura showed for him, Naruto only knows she was worried in the first one but assured her he would be fine. The other 2 had much bigger impacts on her, espcially in both of these parts the biggest reason these were good on Sakura's development was for this she was putting naruto above Sasuke and Herself

Those are some of the highlights of her character when she saw part of his struggles and wanted to do something about it, yet she is unable too and even as late as 573 wants to do something for him. Just as the databook said, Naruto gave her the will to become stronger, Sakura did the same for him when she was mature about Sasuke leaving again even though they both cried.

Even then, the lying to themselves line, it is a possiblity this could have impacted Sakura possibly making her lie to herself about Sasuke, one thing Sakura's development must be is overcoming an idealistic love and knowing about the real thing. Naruto knows Sakura loves Sasuke but then again he still hopes to confess to her by the promise.

Its funny how for the love triange, only Naruto and Sakura know the full deal:

Doing that defeats his character, what sense about staying mad at Sakura when others did much worse and Sai himself told him the reasons even admitting it was his fault basically that Sakura did that?, still most give an illogical counter argument or leave.)

In the same way Sakura could even approach Naruto and want to apolozige for the confession in the land of iron and explain herself but in this case we would also see Naruto's view on how he was more or less just worried and and how Sai said he felt he compelled Sakura, there are so many ways the interaction with them can go.

Naruto is worried about her and tries to make it in time for saving sakura but it seems that he doens't make it. Sakura is on the verge of death since she has a lot of blood. Naruto just got desperate because she was dying but suddenly he wakes up since he falls down from the bed and realizes that it was just a nightmare. Then Naruto remember some words from Sasuke which said him that it's the destiny of any shinobi, etc he understand what lies inside the bottom of his heart and it's better don't have any regrets in this world or something like that. So Naruto thinking to team7 as his family and he want to give everthing in order to protect them. Especially about Sakura, Naruto is concerned about her and at the end he thinks that he loves her. Then he went to her and of course she acting like a tsundere here. At the end Sakura is going to slap him because he was acting like a baka but Naruto stopped his hand and hug her. Naruto confesses his love to her and apologizes for having make her to wait and the end Sakura just replies him "Naruto....me too...". Then they went on a date and see some cherries blossoms and meet with Kakashi.

I havent been on since last night and wow that Hinata thread got locked......

I'm very concerned about Kishi and this sudden change of direction after the 5 kage arc. He develops NS for years then drops it and gives Hinata everything? Something is going on, or Kishi is being influenced by something out of his control.

I see it as the direction that we haven't seen because of lack of their screentime. Only one that got screentime was Team 10 in Immortal Arc. Then, when it comes to many focus but very brief, that will be Pain Arc. Now, the war arc is like revisiting Chuunin Exam Arc, only longer because of other characters who we don't even know, like Darui, and multiple closures with Naruto and others (old villains, kages, Jinchuurikis, K9).

I have a feeling that the bench scene will be brought up during/after the Sasuke vs Naruto fight. Remember the Uniqlo OVA? Naruto's hand reaching Sakura's face, and him quoting himself from ch 3 about how beautiful her forehead is and that he wants to kiss it.

Agree I also understand what you meant with the Lego stuff and a big reason why I believe that any other ending will be like having to build a car in 10 years but instead of buying the part little by little you wait until the last year and you seem forced to use a lot of 2 hand parts from different brand, it will not be perfect but at lease it can to take you home, NaruSaku is like building a car with all the genuine pieces you but little by little to make sure you are working on something original that will make you feel proud of yourself and very happy with the result.

That's the true reality between NS and any other pairing.

Some of you guys think sakura is going to be injured/killed. I can agree with this but Naruto could also be the one to be injured/killed.

Couple of questions...

1) who will inflict this injury/kill?
