also is it just me or is this the first time sasuke has laughed in the manga. Ok maybe it is an extremely psychotic laugh, but a laugh none the less

You're right, I don't remember Sasuke laughing, guess that there is always a first for everything, even if that first laugh was...yikes, creepy.

He did so in volume 24 (Somewhere around there) after he got out of that coffin that the Sound 4/5/6 had him in. He came out in his curse seal form (not full, but just the first level) with his back turned and lauging.

Then there was the maniacal expression he had when he went berserk way back and broke Zaku's arms. He's been crazy ever since volume 6.

I do have to disagree with those who say Kakashi won't die because Kishi said it was the year of Kakashi. I actually think it would be more dramatic if he did since Kishi would have fans thinking Kakashi is going to be Hokage and stand out this year and if he did kill him off the fans would show more hatred towards Sasuke thus Kishi succeeded in making him more final villain worthy like the Joker killing off those close to Batman that put him on the verge of testing his will/strength on taking down the Joker and not murdering him. Naruto would be put through the same scenario as Batman which would be more epic.

Ha I agree with you about S/S finally dying there is no way this couple is going to happen. Kishi just gave the finishing blow to the death of this pairing with this chapter. Next is N/H

Of course Sasuke is tough. He is a walking pharmacy of ninja-steroids, blood doping (Karin's) and amphetamines.
I'm guessing he keeps winning fights because the first ninja move is usually a knee to the 'nads, and his have already dropped off.

Emo suffering Sasuke was boring.
Maniacal mustache-twirling Sasuke is good for the lulz.

I hope Kakasi doesn't die.
But it has been some time since he visited his favorite hospital bed.
Preferably not by Sasuke's hand. Maybe once Madara is done spitting on Danzo smushed corpse, he will sneak back and clobber Kakashi from behind. (And remind Sasuke that he still needs him.)

Good chapter - I liked Sakuras Inner thoughts on Sasuke. I'm also glad she hesitated when going to Karin. Lets hope Karin has abandonded Sasuke otherwise she may try to attack Sakura after she is healed

I am not going to pronounce SS Dead until Sakura actually says so. Its 99% certain but you never know with Kishi.

Lets hope for a full Chapter of Kakashi v Sasuke without Naruto interupting until perhaps the end.

I dont see Kakashi dying but i do see him getting Injured whilst Naruto looks on. This shows Naruto how powerful Sasuke and acts as a catalyst for his next training mission. Which i hope he takes Sakura on with him so that the bring Sasuke back together turns into the kill Sasuke together.

Looking forward to next week Chapter but i am more looking forward to the Next NS interaction

I don't read the spoilers at all - this chapter was awesome!

- How do you think Naruto will take it when he finds out Sakura went there to kill him, for certain? And then after that, when he discovers the Sasuke was going to kill her? I think this will strain their close bond some.

- I was so pleased with Kakashi's acknowledgement of Sakura. It really lessened the blow of having her relegated to medic responsibilities again. But he tidied up some loose ends there. And I could definitely see this being the dawn of a Kakashi arc, but I'm betting no huge battle here. As in, Sasuke's going to get whisked away soon.

- And maybe RIP SS, but this is officially the end of Sasuke and Team Hawk, or Sasuke and Team Anyone. He's on his own in the darkness now.

- And I'm not 100% certain of the death of SS, just as I'm not 100% sure that Karin's going to take to the Konoha nins. She could easily turn on them. I don't see a SaiKarin, but I do see her jonesin' for Naruto!

-Lastly, like KungFuTruffle, I didn't see it as weak that Sakura was having a hard time moving to kill Karin or Sasuke. She's not a killer, and Karin could have been any innocent life. Sasuke was her teammate, so she has history, but killing him would essentially be killing her bond with Naruto too. Naruto sees him as his brother, warped as it may be, and for Sakura to take away Sasuke, would be like her becoming Itachi. If she lived, Naruto would most certainly never forgive her. So yeah, she's got a lot to loose there.

I was thinking that too. Sakura didn't really "go for" Sai she noted with amusement to Naruto how Sai not only looked kind of like Sasuke but acted kind of like him too. (and that was right at first when he was doing the kind of unpleasant team mate act) To Sakura he's a kind of emotionally backward probable gay guy who's a team mate and now a friend since Naruto changed his worldview. Ino though fangirled over Sai. I wouldn't be surprised if Karin fangirls over Sai. Which would be hilarious- for Sai's reaction.

kakashi's wording in this chapter is just... awesome. the way he calmly and confidently threatened sasuke, the way he apologized to sakura and took the blame for team 7's failure, and acknowledged sakura's determination, it's just beautiful.

Here's my take on the latest chapter.

This cahapter has done so much in so little.

1. Made Kakashi look more bad ass then he already was.

2. Revealed Sakura's inner thoughts and her "intentions"

3. Sasuke and Sakura pairing is dead. Some still say "don't celebrate early," I am not celebrating, I am merely stating a fact. I don't see Sakura refalling for Sasuke because she learns about the uchiha massacre. Naruto went through a life not knowing a family, being shunned and hated by everyone else, but he still became a good guy. He still managed to save everyone and in essence he became what he wanted through love. If Naruto could do it, Sasuke could too...

She is not going to say "Oh his family was murdered? Well that's a different story,...come here Sasuke-kun." Past experiences never excuse present events. Does SS have a chance? If you consider the odds of a 0.0000000001% chance of happening a "chance." Not impossible, but very very very very very very VERY unlikely.

3. Sasuke and Karin? Dead. Even if Karin still loves Sasuke after this, Sasuke and Karin will not be together. In fact at this point in time, SasuKari has more of a chance than SasuSaku happening.
