Of course Kishi is just putting himself as a fan. Being Ambiguous still matters for him.

@socermania

Thanks for the alternate trans; I saw it earlier and felt it is probably closer to what Kishi was trying to get at. It is a lot more vague about the love issue, as I'd expect. Naruto is close to Sakura but she still has an attachment to Sasuke. That's what we have been seeing. I'm glad Kishi was trying to make Sakura look better with her hug rather than saying she was unpleasant sleep.gif;

Here is an alternate translation from a SasuNaru fan (Not biased)

http://forums.naruto...postcount=29566

hmmm, not too big a difference to our interview although the person translating didn't over do the anti-narusaku theme. they were actually pro narusaku. i think this interview is slightly more reliable??
but it definitely gave me a better understanding of kishi's tone in his answers. but i really like it when the translator had this:

QUOTE
About Sakura:
"When I first saw her hugging Naruto, my heart beat throbbed a bit."
"My heart throbbed" in a more romantic term.

ok so I guess this interview may be more of a good thing than a bad thing, but still, in the end, manga > interviews... Kishi can say some stuff in the interview to throw every off, but at the end of the day, its what he decides to write in the manga, thats the only thing that matters hmm.

As I said before. No difference from whats come before, and even further confirmation of what we allready knew.

as to Hinata. simply put it is doubtful she will face further consequences for her decision regarding sasuke.

Simply put shes not that important to the story anymore. Her relevance to the story ended the moment she confessed. quite frankly any further discussion regarding Narutos love life and feelings can easilly be done by Sai or Shikamaru, or even Kakashi and Yamato.

Hell even Ino has more plot relevance now then hinata does, and the main Team 10 story ended with Kakazu and Hidan.

Wow...vague, I have no idea what all that translated to, Sasuke is becoming more evil, no surprise there, Sakura was haughty towards Naruto? I'm guessing that's lying to him about being in love with him and then getting angry when he called her up on it...not really sure. But she still loves Sasuke but is going to be more like a heroine from now on...FINALLY!!!!! Though to be honest she was acting more like the hero sinse the time skip but her attitude towards Naruto needs to change. (Please Kishi give us a reason what exactly about Sasuke does Sakura and every other female love apart from looks)

Naruto is getting more training, from Bee I hope, Kakashi can't help him much as their elements don't match, but Bee can help him with controlling the Kyuubi, or maybe with Kakashi as Hokage, (he's going to be in the seat for a while if Naruto is going to have to wait till the end to take the seat) he can give Naruto access to his fathers techniques, from Jiaraya's words it sounded like Minato always thought three steps ahead, he sealed the Kyuubi inside his son because he knew Konoha would needs it's power in the future, surely he left some scrolls on his techniques for his son, specially the Thunder God Technique, if Naruto does not learn that move by the end of the series i'll be dissapointed. Or maybe he'll learn some of his Mothers techniques, or at the very least we learn more about his mother and her background. Mother are neglected to much in orphan children stories i've found.

Well I don't really hope Bee's training, I would like to see Naruto learning "normal" techniques, with Narutos chakra capasity even elements he has no affinity will be good, so I hope Kakashi opens his library of over 1000 jutsus! Even more I wait the moment where Naruto can use his jutsus even more TACTICALLY!
Trust me, I'm an engineer!

Oh, I see. Since they do it to us, it's ok for us to do it back? Double standards?

Personally I don't vouch for that behaviour. I firmly stand against character bashing, so I don't consider it is ok bashing one character in oder to make another looks better.

Some fans' attitude makes it mightily tempting, though.

Not matter what, we shouldn't stoop down to that level.

Mmm... It sounds more believable, and it fits with what has been shown in the manga.

Although it sounds more accurate and more believable (Kishimoto would most certainly not bash his own character), we shouldn't tell it is more reliable only because it looks pro-NS.

My stance hasn't changed. Whatever is told in interviews should be taken with a grain of salt, especially if they are fan-translated.

QUOTE
HAH! And there goes all the hopes I had down the toilet.

Why? It doesn't sound bad at all, and it is only an interview anyway, so he won't reveal anything big.

I guess you were being sarcastic?

QUOTE
At least Sakura won't be a big cry-baby anymore.

She never was depicted like a crybaby. Think about it. Naruto cries -a lot-, Sasuke cries, Shikamaru cries, Choji cries, Ino cries, Gaara cries, Itachi cries, Zabuza cries, Jiraiya cries (IIRC), Tsunade cries, Konohamaru cries, Nagato cries (again, IIRC)... a ton of characters have cried once or several times, in times of great grief or emotional distress, and it has never been depicted like something negative or a sign of weakness or pitifulness.

Honestly I don't think Zabuza, Itachi or Gaara look like cry-babies only because they often cry.

QUOTE

Agreed.

Again, agreed.

And she has been more important since the Chuunin exams. Ino had strong ties to one of the main characters and a crush on another of them (and unlike Hinata, she proclaimed her affection to her crush back then), and she has participated in the main plot more actively than Hinata.

Do you want one example? Back in the Forest of the Death, Team Ten ran into Orochimaru's henchmen, saved Team 7's lives (and Ino forced her team to intervene) and witnessed the effect of the Cursed Seal. Team Eight almost got murdered by Gaara... and that is it.

Or the first Sasuke-searching arc? Ino warned Sakura Team Shikamaru had returned, and later she was waiting for news in the waiting room along Choza. We never saw Hinata visiting Kiba (we only heard she had visited Naruto when he was asleep, fainted, and didn't visit again).

Sounds much more like what's in the manga. And that one about Sakura's feelings it's so ambiguous since Kishimoto doesn't say anything about how she feels about Sasuke that one could actually translate it this way and it would fit better with what was in the manga. "Naruto is close (to her heart- meaning she loves Naruto more) but of course she still harbors some feelings for Sasuke." It's so ambiguous (typical for Kishimoto on important plot points) that it could be more accurately with what's already happened in the manga be translated as very pro narusaku (and we all know that's where Kishimoto is going anyway. That's why he's making it such a struggle for Naruto and Sakura, because he wants you to see the two them struggling to come together and dealing with misunderstandings, etc... so you empathize with both of them even more and want them to get together even more.)

hmmm...idk if i would actually mean that naruto is close to her heart? idk how in japanese that would be put or said when when translated it is "naruto is close". but that would certainly be nice...i mean i can see kishi saying that to trick people but mean that in his own mind. but yes i do certainly agree to the fact that he's making naruto and sakura struggle before truly embracing their own feelings. i mean it's very cliche but isn't that what people do now a days? plus, it's slightly similar to what happens in real life when u need something big to happen in ur life before u understand ur true feelings.

I read from an anti Naru/Saku fan who plays fair by the rule and he cleared something up about the interview his name is Diablovampiro:

1. According to him Kishi NEVER said that Sakura loves Sasuke he left that part hanging in the air.

2. He also said that he didn't intended to make Sakura a detestable character and he's planning to correct that mistake this upcoming year.

3. There was one last part from the interview in the raw script which was ERASED and that's that Kishi said that the hugs Sakura gave to Naruto (450 and 469) had ROMANTIC intentions.

Although I don't know if the third part is true I thought Diablo posted a topic on this forum I don't know though.

That's what I want to know I had a friend who analyze the manga well and he was the one gave me the information from Diablo who is an anti Naru/Saku fan I thought there was a topic about this but anyway I hope it's true. However I do know that those hugs were romantic from 469 Sakura was blushing. Naru/Hina fans failed when they told me that Sakura made herself blush to make her confession more believable which I didn't know characters in the manga had the ability to control their blushing *Epic Fail* and *Face Palm*.
