but i thought naruto couldnt get in contact with his father again after he broke that seal or whatever it was.

I think Minato said that he could only appear if Naruto came close to releasing all tails when the seal is on the verge of breaking/disappearing.

^I think we're still going to have to wait on that one, but it would be appropriate if it IS now. I'm thinking that our Deus Ex Mahchina for today is going to be a weird one that none of us see coming, 'cause I have a feeling that we need to wait until later for Itachi's gift, but this is as good a time as ever to give Naruto more perspective. It's clear that this got spaced out far too long from Naruto and Itachi's conversation, it really is the begining of this whole questioning stretch that really should have played out much closer to each other.

Naruto needs to accept reality and move on. Why hold on to Sasuke anymore? Sasuke had a choice and he chosen vengence despite his teammates' warnings.

At last Kakashi may train Sakura, he finished the boys now its her turn.

Sasuke is way too far gone! He's a pawn that Madara is using easily. Its hard to target Madara when Sasuke is creating a great deal of damage. Call Madara anything you like, but I say the man is genius!

I think it's Sasuke's own fault that he's being used though, and he even knows he's being used that gets on my nerves!! I rather miss the Sasuke that thought with the genius-nosity, and not his emotions... he seems like a *darker* version of Naruto, rather...

I figured out something that might apply here. (Not just your post, Hopestar, about being frustrated about Naruto's slowness in moving on. Yours just happened to be the most convenient.)

A central part of Naruto's character is his stubbornness, his endurance, the never-say-quit attitude. This has been a tremendous strength in almost all of his fights. Gaara was physically beaten, but was mentally beaten when he saw Naruto inching towards him, that he would not stop. This helped him beat Neji, gain the admiration of Hinata. He persisted with Sakura until she started to understand him. This determination makes Naruto fiercely loyal, which gains him the respect of friends and even enemies.

But that same characteristic can have drawbacks, and we are seeing the double-edged knife where Sasuke is involved. It took Madara's sneakiness, Sakura's confession, and Sai's bluntness before Naruto finally gave up his idealized version of Team 7. He is so persistent that his subconscious caused him to pass out when he finally changed his mind.

I'm not saying its pretty, just trying to point out that it is part of the package, good and bad. The ability to keep fighting when everyone says he should quit, is also the ability to hold onto a harmful emotional attachment when he should have let go.
