I doubt that they will try to kill Naruto. Danzo, himself admit that if they did anything know with him being so popular he would loses the respect with his people

Ahh but this assumes he would do or order the deed himself.

Where the possibility extends itself that he may have or try and ahve someone else do the job and if it looked like it succeeded imagine the outcry of the village when their beloved hero is "dead". The crys for war would begin immediately and it would only require a scapegoat.

consider this scenario.

Pein -- a known member of akatsuki-- has already destroyed the village and put into a coma the prior Hokage. Let us suppose that during Sasukes attack Naruto confronts him and is stabbe din the bakc or otherwise incapacitated enough that danzon thinks hes dead ((perhaps Kakahsi escapes with naruto in the confusion)). Danzo returns and tells evryone that Sasuke has not only joined Akatsuki but has killed their hero.

the outrage over akatsuki is allready there all Danzo would need is that to stoke it too a bonfire of hatred and bam war is on the horizon.

That would be a very interesting storyline! If that were to happen i'd be very enthusiatic to see what Kishimoto could cook up for it.

Well Sakura still may have a crush on Sasuke. Kishimoto hasn't made it clear one way or another so we can't say Sakura doesn't still care for Sasuke when she still might. Also, they have a point that Sakura's crush over Sasuke must be resolved. Naruto is still under the impression that she loves Sasuke, thus Sakura must resolve this problem to be with Naruto. No pairing is canon and they have a hell of a way to go before they are.


That statement's a bit hypocritical don't you think?

Nope, the crush is long gone. Kishimoto gave proof already, lets compare how Sakura reacted to seeing Naruto for the first time in 2 1/2 years vs Sasuke ditto.

Naruto- blushes, smiles while laying her hand over her heart, and flirts in a very overt way inviting him to look at her body in a sexual way

Sasuke-no blush, no smile, sure as heck no flirting, clutches her hand in front of her throat in fear.

Hmm, looks rather freakingly obvious she's got no crush on Sasuke anymore. She never smiles when Sasuke's name is mentioned- she looks sad, upset, depressed or cries. When Naruto's name is mentioned she often smiles.

And there's more backup in the third databook, in her profile it says her romantic feelings for Sasuke is in the past. Viz, in their official manga translations notes she used to have a crush on Sasuke. Even the anime has figured that out- having Sakura scribble Sasuke's name out from under the "umbrella" with her name.

Sakura cried for the same reason Naruto did this chapter. (remember how much Kishimoto loves parallels....) Team mate bonds are intense. Look at how Tsunade and Jiraiya reacted to Orochimaru's death and that's with Tsunade having never liked or trusted Orochimaru and Jiraiya having long ago come to the realization Orochimaru was irredeemably twisted and evil. Think on how many years it had been for Tsunade and Jiraiya, yet they both were clearly having feelings of mourning. Now think on how much fresher those feelings are for Naruto and Sakura and unlike Orochimaru who was a grown man and had been getting more twisted and evil for years, Sasuke was only a 13 year old boy driven mad by vengence, he hadn't taken many steps into darkness at that time.

And as for Sai, remember he was one of the first ones in part 2 to make an overt comment to Sakura about her feelings for Naruto (which she didn't deny) shortly followed by Yamato's screamingly overt comment. Sakura's reaction to Yamato's comment showed she realized he's telling her that those confused feelings she's having for Naruto is love. Sakura's actions afterward showed she had accepted that truth and by 343 outright embraced it.

Sai might ask her much the same questions he asked Naruto. He knows this trying to bring back and redeem Sasuke is tearing Sakura apart too. He commented as much already.

I know it's been a couple days since i post, just got back from vacation in Gulf Shores Alabama.

Everyone has already summed up everything i could possibly think of but I'll put my thoughts in my own simple terms:

1.) Rather Sai cuts to the chase and tells Sakura about Naruto's loves or beats around the bush, It's main purpose is to help give Sakura a extra push on the back.

2.) Can't wait to hear the juicy talks in the kage meeting as well as Sai's talk to Sakura too.

3.) We'll find out for sure in the next few chapters who Danzou really is.

4.) Kishi please let Godaime Mizukage be Naruto's mother Kushina XD, (I"m just using my fandomation ). I would like to know Godaime Mizukage's real name and her past history though.

5.) What will Naruto and Co. do next?

That would certainly settle the Mizukage hair color debate if it's Kushina- Jiraiya made a major point that Kushina had RED hair. I would also laugh my butt off because the fanboys will freak out that they are lusting over yet another 40 something woman. (Konan being mid 40's. I laughed at the fanboy freak outs when they found out how "old" Konan is- being a 40 something female myself- 43 in September, heh the Konaha 11 parents age range.)

Well not crack, there is certainly a possibility of that but I doubt it will be. It certainly would make for a good soap though, .

This chapter... hm... for all we know Sai could be going to confess to Sakura and then go off to fight against Danzo. But it was a nice moment for NaruSaku, where Naruto still feels guilty for being unable to keep his promise to Sakura. Good stuff.

I don't know why people were complaining about Naruto's bowing to beg. I know there's more he could have said and he could have worded it more elegantly, but it was a moment of desperation for his friend. Raikage was beginning to walk away. And from the sound of his own speech, he wasn't going to be persuaded by anything other than blood.

I also don't understand why people are angry that Naruto is still getting emotional over someone who is like a brother to him. He didn't deny that Sasuke has done bad things, he recognizes it. He is still just pleading for Sasuke's pardon, not only for Sasuke but for both villages. He can't throw a punch to show his feelings, and that's very frustrating. So of course he's going to be emotional.

It'll be interesting if the Kages have already noticed Zetsu and Sasuke... which... why wouldn't they?

I wonder how powerful Mifune is. The samurai seem to be a big threat.

... did anyone notice, in the Binktopia translation, in the panel where Sai was asking for Sakura, the note about one of the Binktopia people killing Sai if he confesses for Naruto? Come on! I don't want side commentary, no matter how much better the translation and quality are (even though each chapter always has either a grammatical or spelling error).

Exactly my thoughts Link. I figured when it happend, either NH would start to get development, or Hinata would fade into the backround again and that would be it. There is no matter to settle, nothing at all.

Not in In your heart per se since that happens long after these events and Danzo is dead in In your eyes.

The curious part is that Sasuke as arrogant as he is at this time would more then likely not even deny it or even try and defend himself to any leaf ninja he came across even if he knew the truth that he didnt finish the job.

Hed say something Like "He was weak and in my way." or something equally insulting which would only inflame the ahtred towards him and akatsuki more.
