Has anyone else heard anything vaguely along those lines? I noticed the magazine cover up-thread, and now this, so I was sort of hoping a trailer would get released soon. (Of all the superhero movies coming up, I think I'm looking forward to the Green Lantern one, the most -- he always stuck me as the most woefully under-represented of DC's "big 6" superheroes (Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Flash, Wonder Woman, and GL) in live-action. I mean, even old fish-boy, Aquaman, has had a live-action TV series in the sixties and two made-for-TV movies (which is more than Wonder Woman, scarily -- she just has Linda Carter's performance). Why hasn't GL gotten any live-action camera time before now? (beyond the brief Alan Scott appearance in Smallville, that is)
(if I were being fair, I suppose Martian Manhunter belongs to the group I list above, and is equally under-represented, but his characterization has been so inconsistant -- and my impression is that he lacks draw outside of the JLA -- so I don't really think I should include him... and even if I did, he's STILL had more appearances in live-action, since he's apparently been a more regular character on Smallville, according to IMDB. (I don't watch Smallville -- don't particularly like that version of Superman -- so correct me if I'm wrong, here))
You haven't experienced the full cofusion of modern gender relations until you've heard an angry group of women yelling, "We want tentacles!" at an all-night Hentai-fest.

GL isn't touched as much in live-action, particularly on Smallville because of budget constraints. Superman is an easier sell in front of a camera live-action wise because most of his powers don't require an extra green energy effect. There's less to render for the live-action for Superman than GL.
As far as comic-con, I guess it was an uninspired panel. The only thing of note was Ryan Reynolds saying the oath when a kid asks him about saying it for the first time. Then he shows a ring, the kid gets a surprised look, the audience awws, and he signs something for the kid. Nice thing to do, but when that's the only real thing of note, some fans may be worried. You can find a description of the coverage here.

Look at this and tell me she isn't MJ. She's a good actress too, unproven, but she's got the right 'tude for MJ, especially in her earlier years. Who's going to play MJ? According to this hollywoo reporter article, they're both going to be in the movie.

I think they're saving that for later on. They don't want to squeeze everything out all at once. They probably also want to establish the Justice League film first... since they kind of have a 'little' part in the storyline.

I think I'd take yet another Lex Luthor movie over Zod, since I don't really care for Zod as a villain. It's just not that fun when the protagonist and the antagonist share strengths and weaknesses. If I could pick any Superman-villain for the next movie, it would be Lobo or Mongul. I think both villains could be written into a pretty epic movie, with more than enough punches thrown. I'm not to happy about a "MADNESS? THIS IS METROPOLIS!!11!" scene in the next movie, but until I see actual information about how the movie is about to turn out, I'm going to accept the possibility of it turning into a good hero-movie. When I think about it, a movie about Maxima would be fun as well. Or perhaps they could use Metallo as the main villain, if they want an easy villain if you go by effects... I mean, the Terminator movies has done that for decades already.
I wish they could somehow tie this into the Green Lantern movie, and perhaps even the next Batman, just to give us hopes for an eventual Justice League movie. What Marvel has done with their preparations for the Avengers is pretty amazing imho.

I'm more so irked because ... Zod? I mean seriously, no one takes him seriously, he was just an unintentionally hilarious villain, played by the awesome Terrance Stamp.
Lobo, probably not until his movie is made, yes, they're looking to do one. But I just don't see Supes vs the Main Man, being a meaningful Man of Steel movie. It'd be funny.
Mongul definitly, but he's ... Darkseid. Metallo, definitely could be done for the reasons you said. Maxima? ... Is this because of that Valentines Day episode Instinct on Smallville?

Wait, what? I thought Emma Stone was in the running for MJ? Huh...how odd. It's hard to see her with Gwen Stacy's personality really....

Magpie's actually a Batman villain; besides which, unless they ditched the laughable triple mohawk, there would be no way I could take Magpie seriously.
Seriously though, they do need a villain other than Lex Luthor. To be honest, if I had my way, the main villain would be Darkseid and the whole thing would be a spectacle. Apokolips, Parademons, the Furies and all the good stuff against the Man of Steel.
Mongul would rock ass, especially if the whole thing with Battleworld were involved; Lobo, however, isn't actually a villain, merely a bounty hunter, and I could see the character - if done right - presenting a problem in him stealing every scene he was in.
I liked that film alright, but it got a mixed reception.
Besides which, Doomsday is a character that would be hard to use. He was fleshed out later, but at first he was a means to an end; a monster strong enough to fight Superman to a standstill and seemingly kill him. Most of the Death and Return saga was more concerned with the effect of the loss of Superman and his return; that's a lot of ground to cover and it's definitely not suitable for a reboot.

To be honest, I'd take him over having Lex as the primary antagonist again.
Hopefully it ends up being neither.

I think the tenth season might be a very good one, even if they do take some liberties with the characters and the franchise. Good job!

Sequel will be titled The Dark Knight Rises. And it won't have the riddler.

Probably a good thing when it comes to the Riddler. I don't think his MO would work all that great in the film world Nolan's created. One villain that would probably work well, however, is the Black Mask. The Gotham Mob have been a significant part of the Nolan films and Black Mask would be a good way to bring that element into further prominence in the third film.
Anyways, here's hoping he can make a fantastic film. The Dark Knight will be tough to top.
