You get your ship at the end of the capitol world story, and mounts at 25.
I'll be joining you in battle as a Sith lightsaber user.

You can roll a Sith Assassin also, they're more of a melee burst dps and wield the double bladed saber.
I'm very glad I already paid off the collectors edition of this game, best MMO I've played to date. I played almost non-stop since friday evening, only sleeping a few hours each night. Didn't leave my apartment or shower, I couldn't get away from this game. Even though I picked up oblivion the only time I could force myself to play is while I was waiting to get into a server.
I was able to try every class and level two up to 13. I have to say my favorite two classes are the Republic Commando and the Sith Sorcerer. Funny part is for both I was planning on playing the opposite faction, only playing the other to get the hang of it before launch. I figured I wanted to play the Bounty Hunter and Jedi Consular so I played Trooper and Inquisitor. After playing both I can say I will for sure be playing a Inquisitor and Trooper. Out of curiosity I played the ones I was planning and they didn't pull me in as much as the others. I'd say at launch make sure to make both classes and see which story you like better, you may never know.
Leveling up was easy and questing on the starter planet was fun and felt like higher level content. The voices are well done and story is great making even side quests feel important. I was able to complete every available quest for me in the starter zone and hit level 10. Perfect for leaving since you get to pick your new advance class and do the flashpoints.
Now the flashpoints are amazing, each runthrough varies from and hour to two, (at least for the first one). Every major decision you make effects the outcome of the flashpoint, killing one man has you fight one boss while if you keep him alive you will fight another one entirely. The dialogue options are nice but there seems to be a glitch where one person in each group ends up choosing 98% of the dialogue. Gets a bit annoying specially if you're trying to get social points. The boss fights are fun and usually challenging. You will probably want to wait till level 10 before looking for a group since many people will leave a group if there's a 9 in it. One problem I've had though hopefully fixed in retail is party members disconnecting and being unable to get new ones without leaving the instance/phase.
Once you get your Crew Skills I suggest you start training them immediately since you can get many bonuses and can make a pretty penny with them. I chose archaeology and Artifice, as well as diplomacy. You can have one crafting (Artifice: Lightsaber building things. Others include cybernetics, armor and weapon crafting etc.) Gathering (Archaeology: Crystals. Others include Bioanalysis etc) and one mission (Diplomacy: Others are Treasure hunting, black market etc.). What you do is send your companion off for an allotted amount of time to go do a mission. When they comeback they will have a reward and a higher skill level. The higher the skill the better the rewards. Archaeology is to find power and color crystals which you can use to change lightsaber color, stats, make shield generators etc. By the end of Saturday I was able to get yellow color crystals which gave me a very unique yellow lightsaber. Blue green and red are rather easy to come by so you can change the color of your lightsaber after about 15 minutes after leaving the starter planet. From the other crystals I saw there seems there's going to be also white and gray sabers.
I'm rambling because I'm about to pass out and sad that all my work will be deleted in half an hour. I give this game a 10/10 now I'm going to sleep for 16 hours then play Skyrim to keep myself from thinking about this game.
