You see, this is what happens when you wake up at 3 in the morning for no good reason. Getting the drabble out is good and all, but it wanted to be right in the middle of that little drabble arc I'd finished before. Sigh. Guess I have some editing to do now.
For reference, here is the order they belong in:
Q is for Question
Y is for Yes
W is for Whirlpool
O is for Obligation
L is for Light
If you've read the others before, (all 4 of you?) I have edited/will edit the last two slightly. Can't leave bad enough alone I guess. The others are on page
6 of this thread and in the library.
Oh, right. The actual drabble.
W is for Whirlpool.
Part 3 of 4 5. In your downward spiral you cling to what's important.
It was months (years?) since the Godaime sent her to find Naruto – unofficially.
Tsunade thought Sakura could persuade Naruto to return and abandon Sasuke.
Tsunade didn’t know she’d already failed; the Hokage didn’t know about the bridge.
Now she’d finally found them. In the distance, Sakura sensed massive amounts of demonic and cursed chakra followed by huge explosions to match.
Her body moved towards them automatically while her mind veered between hope, worry, and despair. Through the maelstrom of emotions one thought remained constant; one Sakura held tightly to, trying to keep from drowning.
Be well Naruto. Please be safe.
Maybe one day I'll rewrite it all into an actual fic, but I wouldn't hold my breath. And 3 more until I let this thread go.
Edited to correct the page number.

QUOTE ("Down Goes Brown")
(For the younger readers, "HMV" and "Sam The Record Man" were record stores.)
(For the younger readers, a "record store" was a building that you had to go to when you wanted to buy music.)
(For the younger readers, "buying music" was the way we acquired it, since we couldn't just… you know what, let's just get back to the Bowen song. Stupid kids, you ruin everything.)

Be the Ultimate Ninja! Or Reaper! Or Zombie Killer... or something. Play Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN!
