I didn't ever really ship NaruIno. Never hated it either though, it's more like I was conflicted on the idea. It's hard to picture Naruto with anyone but Sakura and I'm not trying to say this as NS fan. I mean with his character. Naruto's kinda like Minato and Jiraiya, only loving one woman in his lifetime. And I don't usually like crackships.
I've been checking this thread every now and then and I've think you've converted me. 
Ino and Naruto have really strong personalities and if they were ever in a relationship it'd be pretty interesting dynamics. Sakura and Ino are a lot alike after all. I prefer NaruIno over NaruHina ... which is pretty sad, considering NH isn't as much as a crackship as them. NH just bores the shizz out of me.
But when I picture NaruIno together realistically, I see them arguing a lot (must be because of Part 1 fillers) and I think Ino would be too shallow for Naruto. I also think Ino has high standards in men and she usually goes for the mature, more reserved guys. Sakura would probably be super jealous of it too. 
But it's a nice crackship. I really like it now and it's fanarts.
