I do think that kishi ended the last chapter with the SasuSaku eye-on-eye just because he was doing what he does best: troll the fanbase.

i dont remember a chapter ending with a NaruSaku moment like this.

probably something will break this moment that for SasuSaku fas is so important, even with lots of NaruSaku moments, this never happened, why with sasusaku? good job kishi, lets see how sasusaku will react when in the next chapter he smash their hopes

The war arc will end in this year, there would one or two more years for the last arc of this manga.

We'll never know what will happen with that "SasuSaku" moment. But one thing is for sure: SasuSaku will not be a pairing. It would ruin too much of what the series already established with the characters, and how they've developed. Sasuke stayed the same, but Sakura changed drastically. In her development, in her feelings, in her strength, in her personality... everything.

 

If SasuSaku happened it would completely ruin Sasuke's character, as well as Sakura's development. The future is a mystery, but what isn't a mystery, is whether or not SS will happen. Too underdeveloped. Same with NH, but with SS it's a definite no.

You're right, nh and ss moments end very often with cliffhangers.

I can't feel sure of NH becoming canon soley for the fact we're this far in the game and Naruto has yet to give any hints he romantically love her. Naruto is not like Sasuke

(Which is one thing i give SasuSaku's, we do not know Sasuke feelings for her considering his attitude/personality in general)

 

However this is not the case for Naruto. Naruto is easy to figure out, he ALWAYS blushes around Sakura, he joked with Sakura being his girlfriend, when Sakura confessed her "love"- there was nothing but a huge blush across his face. He does not hide his feelings- when he's angry he'll show it. Sad, he'll let you know. Or even if he tries to hide it- its obvious he's down.

 

Which is why i'm not convinced he loves Hinata. Just by looking at Narut'so character, its weird for him not to give any hints of being 100% romantically involve with her like he is with Sakura. 

 

I mean think about it, He already knows Hinata loves him- she confessed it right infront of him. And if he feels the same...why is he waiting?

 

Pre-war and during this war- there has been nothing.

 

Speaking of during this war..What if Hinata dies? Surely, he knows this is capable of happening after seeing neiji dying- so wouldn't that be the right time to confess your feelings after holding this girls hand? (Assuming it was romantic and not just a chakra transfer lol)

 

I think Naruto cares for her, but i'm not convinced he loves her- atleast not the way he feels for Sakura, it comes across as appreciating for all she done, patting her on the back, wants to help her and stay as that motivation for her- but not exactly love...

 

I feel there's been more hints on Sakura's feelings for Naruto(He makes her heartbeat faster for example, Yamato's words..etc) than Naruto feelings for Hinata.

 

I love Naruto, and if he picks Hinata then its fine with me- whatever makes him happy makes me happy, and i do not scorn NH at all but how its being setting up for them being canon is weird and a little odd for the " so-called ultimate power couple"

Hey welcome! :) I agree with absolutely everything. The main thing that sets off NaruSaku from the other pairings is that Sakura is actually shown to be changing her feelings. It's been implied many times in the past, as well as the present. And the other thing that sets it apart, is Naruto himself. This guy is a guy who doesn't change his feelings easily. It's what people love about him the most - his loyalty, and the selfless care that goes along with it, towards all his comrades.

 

What sets Sakura apart from Hinata is that Sakura has actually been a part of Naruto's life. A part that he cherishes no matter what. He knows and understands her, he admires her, and takes care of her, he blushes towards her, he's completely honest with her - and he always expects the same from her. Naruto doesn't know Hinata like this. Naruto respects her, but people can't just expect Naruto to fall out of love with Sakura, and into love with Hinata. Feelings have to gradually grow, feelings have to come from knowing someone well, and actually developing. This doesn't apply to Naruto. Those type of feelings are directly like Sakura's. It's realistic, and Kishi is making quite an effort to show this.

 

Sakura is a changing girl - especially when it comes to feelings. Sasuke and Naruto just don't apply to this romantically. 

 

NaruHina happening would be disregarding Naruto's feelings. It would also make Hinata uneasy - and it would be hard for her to be herself around him. I want Naruto and Hinata to be good friends. Making them jump into a romantic relationship, would just be random, and that's not the way Kishi does things. Kishi spends his time developing bonds for a reason. And i agree with what you said as well, i do want NaruHina to develop as good  friends, its obvious he does help her a little, but the fact her "crush" on him is just a little....too much you know- i'd just rather them be friends. And since Naruto has yet to give any hint of harboring romantic feelings towards her- i'm only detecting strong platonic ties, if anything.

 

Out of main 3 pairings, NaruSaku feels the closest to being mutual-atleast going off of hints and the such.

 

MinaKushi + NaruSaku mirror is really cute for me hahaha

Yeah, Naruto doesn't like Hinata as more than a friend, but Sasuke never liked Sakura as more than a friend, either. Naruto has had unwavering love for Sakura since the beginning, and Hinata? He thought she was a weird girl in the beginning, and now he sees her as a friend. That is the most development they will get at this point without an asspull. As for Sasuke's feelings about Sakura, what we do know is that he never had romantic feelings for her ever in this manga. If he did, why did he call her 'annoying', useless, rejected her when she asked him out, try to kill her a few times, say 'thank you' to her confession instead of staying in Konoha and/or saying he loves her too (this is a polite way to say you don't feel the same about someone), and many more reasons I don't feel like posting. Also remember that Sasuke is a human being, and even he would have shown something by now if he loved her romantically, no matter what his attitude/personality is (even something like his thoughts and not aloud). If Kishi really wanted SS canon, he would have had proper build up and have Sasuke fall in love with Sakura. Did we get that? NO. All we got was his behavior towards her becoming more negative. We also have proof in the databook and fanbook written by Kishi himself that Sasuke isn't romantically interested in Sakura. Here is just one example from the fanbook...I heard the correct translation of this is "good comrade" though...not friend...I'm guessing comrade is correct because Viz isn't the greatest translator:

What we do know about Sasuke's feelings is that he saw her as a comrade/friend in part 1, and that is the extent of his thoughts about her, but now? We don't know at this point whether he sees her as a comrade or tool. I'm thinking by the end of the manga, he will see her as a comrade/friend again. That seems to be what Kishi is going for. Sorry for my little rant...I hope you don't mind it.    I just dislike SS so much...it can't touch how amazing and positive NS is.

It is nice to see he appreciates her help and sees her as important to the team. We will be getting back to that.

However, going along with what I argued above,  I have noticed since part 1 is the lack of a bond separate from team 7 Sasuke and Sakura have. Why do you think Sakura asks him when he was leaving the village, "Why won't you say anything to me? Why do you always keep so quiet? You never say a single word to me...?" This shows their bond isn't separate from team 7 (also remember when Sasuke thinks of Sakura, he always thinks of Naruto and/or Kakashi as well), and Sakura used to not be happy with just that as we see in this quote. As we can see from this fanbook quote, Sasuke doesn't think of her too personally. He just sees her as a kind and caring comrade that he appreciates. He even starts to see team 7 as kind of a family in part 1, because of how they care for each other may remind him of his family he used to have. Idk how to explain Sasuke and Sakura's bond further...I guess I could say they are kinda like those friends you have at work/school that you care about, but you don't see them outside of school because you aren't interested (well, Sasuke isn't interested, and idk if Sakura is anymore either)...idk, sorry if this sucks.

With Sakura and Naruto, though...they are a whole different story. They have bonded on their own without Sasuke, Sai, and Kakashi so much that I can't even count the moments. Sakura and Naruto think about each other separately from anyone else all the time.

That's good too ^^ I don't mind it... it really shows his humanity, you know? Along with the way he acts around Naruto too. Really, Team 7 was probably one of the first good things that happened to him :/ I really hope he doesn't waste that away... The new chapters seem to be looking up for that (Sasuke acknowledging Sakura, like he used to in Part 1).

hmmm . let me make my self clear . ramen i thought u were a fair person . why didnt u add this to what i said ((.or at least the way you view and feel narusaku .isnt that strong . cause neither naruto nor sakura are your favorite characters..) and i admit i was wrong by saying  that if u favor sasuke cant be fan to narusaku . and i said it cause i thought that the person who favor sasuke want the best to sasuke . even in romance . and i only thought of sakura . and i forgot about karin and i forgot . that maybe sasuke fans are like him do not care about romance. at least for sasuke in this manga.  .. and i can see that u are a sasuke fan .if u like him as a fighting style its ok cause as darkest said . the best fights are sasukes fights and my favorite is his fight with itachi and bee. . . but if u like sasuke as a character and a personality  as it presented in the manga till the last chapter. then we are on 2 different paths .. and with all my respect to everyone who likes sasukes personality . but their way of thinking and viewing the life  has some wrong with it .and it effecting their real life.. and after all every one has all the right to like and choose what they want . but that doesnt mean that there is no right and wrong in life.. and i apologize if i offended anyone .it was a fast thought and i was wrong about it.
