Chapter 664: Because I'm Your Father

So, Kabuto is not by Sasuke's side. Who is there? All that suspense and we still don't know who that might be. Orochimaru didn't recognized that chakra, so we can't tell who that mysterious person is.
Black Zetsu separated from Obito and so...Obito dies. Note: # No way he could survive, anyway he survived a lot...he was very powerful. Zetsu emerged and took Kurama's (Yin Half) in Naruto's place (Next Jinchuuriki, yey!!!). *I tell you - You didn't see that coming!!* And so...the last moments of a Shinobi who wanted to become a Hokage but he didn't...Obito Uchiha dies. No more Obito, Obito is dead!!! This was the last time we saw him!!!
Minato was their only hope...afterall, is Naruto going to survive or die? Considering the Kyuubi was extracted from him...hmm. The same question goes for Sasuke.
I know Naruto & Sasuke will stay alive. Don't know how...but they will!
Bye bye Obito! Nice seeing you...sorry, but in this world everyone dies, including you!
I thought that Obito will die in chapter 666 but he died in 664....well, close!

Sakura could sacrifice herself if she wanted to but I have a feeling that Madara's dropped tools will do the trick. His tools are basically the best sealing tools that exists and team Gai are extremely close to them since the sand passed right above them close to when they got to Minato. I have a feeling it's much more likely for them to resell Kurama in the gourd and back into naruto instead of sakura sacrificing herself.

2. I think the one who can (properly) use the weapon is naruto. since the tool take so many chakra. or if it use to madara, I think it would like traping evil piccolo in the sealing rice cooker.

that's so.... then it's a very bad situation for everyone... How will they try to save Naruto without yin kurama? Oh wait... doesn't this mean that Sakura will sacrifice herself with the chiyo kinjutsu (if she really know it), right?

Right now, Sakura using Chiyo's jutsu seems like the only way to save Naruto without Yin Kurama. Unless there's a way to transfer the chakra of Kinkaku and Ginkaku, which I don't doubt, but Team Gai is still somewhat far away from Naruto. He doesn't have much time left... We'll see, I guess.

Personally I can't say I'm thrilled the minakushi scene... I mean, the pairing is brought up every 50 chapters or so since they were revealed. I get it, they're married and do married people things. Kushina mentioned she and Minato fight as they were dying, but we never saw that aspect of their marriage. Instead we see somewhat one-dimensional kitchen scenes over and over again. I guess a lovey-dovey flashback is fitting for Minato's impending demise, but still.

Agreed. Seeing them all the time is a little tiring.

Sakura will probably stay by Naruto's side until he's saved. I kinda hope she participates in the battle, but considering Kishi's track record, I doubt it will happen...

1) Then, the chakra will go bye bye? Then, what's the cure for Naruto?

I didn't understand one thing. Is the Yin Kurama still inside of Minato? Or did Black Zetsu just stole it and bring it in himself?

Keep in mind, the next chapter is often considered a twist/climax, so perhaps we will find out if Naruto and Sasuke bite the dust or just one of them or none of them will.

I didn't expected it. But now that I think about it all, I should have.

 

So... now i'm almost sure that Naruto will never get Kurama back (in his womb).

 

Some fans were saying it for a long time : that Naruto would loose Kyuubi.

I never thought it could happen, I thought Naruto was bound to be friend with his bijuu, and I never realised that he could be friend with him without the jinchuuriki thing.

But now that we all saw Shukaku cooperate with Gaara while he was not his sealed bijuu anymore, I understand that this will be the endgame. Bijuus are gonna cooperate with ninjas without any sealing. That will be the miracle Naruto as already almost accomplished by changing Bijuu's mind.

Naruto hated the concept of jinchuuriki, and even if he learnt to accept it thanks to his mother, everything makes sense now. Naruto will never be a jinchuuriki anymore. He's free now.

 

But I have to say, for this chapter, I was so sure that Naruto would gain Yin Kurama... I also thought that Naruto could become the SO6P later... maybe it can still happen but... no jinchuuriki anymore seems more legit to be the future game right now.

 

So... what will happen in 665 ?

 

I really don't see how they will save Naruto now...

 

It seems to me the only option left is Sakura doing a chiyo... but how could she has learnt this jutsu ??? Chiyo died with the knowledge of it. If Sakura has managed to learn it, then she really is unbelievable.

Moreover, she has no chakra left. Maybe she will release her byakugo seal... that could be badass.

 

I now there is Kyuubi chakra that is released now in the Rikudo tools, but to me, this shouldn't work to save Naruto permanently. Maybe they will use it but... I don't know it may not be enough... Moreover, this doesn't really fit with the " no jinchuuriki anymore " scenario that I see happening now.

But, correct me if I'm wrong... black Zetsu didn't give yet the Yin Kurama to Madara right ?

So... maybe they still can take it back from black Zetsu, but how could they do such a thing now that God/unstoppable/Madara is here ?

They will try something, it's pretty sure though... Sakura can't move, she will maintain Naruto's life. So she will be all alone while Minato/Gaara/Kakashi will be battling. What will she do ? Continue CPR and heart massage ? Maybe Kishi will not even show her... Team Guy will not arrive in an instant. Minato/Kakashi/Gaara will be on their own for a while. But really, Madara has owned everybody on the battlefield. How could they defeat him ? It's seems impossible. Now we feel it. True despair. I really don't see how they will bring Naruto back.

 

You know guys... I'm a little disappointed in certain aspects of this chapter though... I wanted Minato sealing thing to be longer, with the help of Sakura. I guess Kishi skipped it because it wasn't bound to be successful...

I didn't like the "comic relief" with team Gay also, and the joke about Neji was nearly lame IMO.

I find this "comedy" misplaced because it's really a big drama thing with Naruto down and I didn't wanted to see characters joking around. I wanted to see more drama. I guess it will come next... because now, it's a truly "no hope left" situation. That's what I like about this chapter. This "no hope left" scenario. I want to see Sakura's reaction. I want to see what she will decide to do, what she will try to save Naruto. I want to see what she will say to Minato, and what Minato will say to her (if they have time to talk).

 

I really liked Mina/Kushi in this chapter. They are so alike Naru/Saku that it's lolable.

 

I still think the mysterious shadow is Kabuto, but really, I don't care. Sasuke never interested me in this manga. I just want to see more of Naruto/Sakura/Minato/Kakashi.

Last week was a mysterious foot, this week a mysterious shadow and next what would be? Imaging this guys Kishi said that the Manga is about to end, but about he decided to make it longer with the mysterious shadow kidnapping Sasuke, but of course that would not happen.

1. yes, that if kishi still consistent. I think the cure for naruto still the yin kurama. kishi will make sure to conclude minato and sakura conflict (for minato it's to redeem his father "failure" and sakura "I feel useless to naruto), thus why minato will take back the yin kurama with or without the help from kakashi and/or team guy(credit to T XD).
2. I agree, that's why I said only naruto who can do that. even if tenten use it, it will act as a distractor to buy time for naruto.

 

and I am not yet give my opinion on why giving back kurama to naruto will save him and not kushina.

the reason why it save naruto because naruto is a kuram perfect jinchuriki, and if you are a perfect jinchuriki that mean you can perform any abilities that the bijuu have. 

In this case kurama has the power to heal itself that no other bijuu has.

still think that kishi idea of kurama power come from Godzilla.

She doesn't know how to use Chiyo's jutsu, even if she wanted to save him she has no way to do so.

Nope. This is totally not foreshadowing. Not at all. This totally isn't a Chekhov's Gun. No siree.

I somewhat question the use of comedy at this time, but at least it was funny rather than the horribly offensive stuff he used last time. And TenTen got to say something. How often does that happen?

I also agree with the commenter who wondering if these guys were asleep at the wheel when Black Zetsu went after Naruto. Wasn't he right in front of them?

@luckychi7, is this chapter a focus chapter? or the building one?  

 

 

 

This is would be a focus chapter, or I should be saying the second to last focus chapter. Normally chapter 4-8 hit the focus points in the volume. At the same time, this one may fall under the Volume 53 (Kushina Flashback) syndrome; where the focus lasts from chapter 4 to the last chapter in the volume. So if we're lucky this focus can continue until chapter 667. If it doesn't then by the end of 665 (next chapter) we'll be moving to the climax of the volume.

If Sakura knew Chiyo's jutsu, wouldn't she have used it aleady since Naruto is still alive and, therefore, she wouldn't die?  I mean...if Chiyo could save Sakura, then couldn't Sakura do the same for Naruto even after having Kyuubi ripped out of him?

btw, I don't understand why they're complaining about Minato outta here..... It seems only to me that the one who has most overstimated by everyone was the shodai? I mean, he's even more useless now than other hokages, he's the edo hokage who has did less stuff together with Saru than others :/ I've to be honest here... If it's this the so called shinobi no kami, I'm a bit disappointed.

Ok, after rereading the chapter, it would appear that yes, those tools does ask for crazy amount of chakra or the person will die from them. I can see someone like Naruto or anyone else doing it. It also appears that you can counter it, so in other words, Madara can counter it. But that's why I said he can be weaken to the point he can't prevent it. Beat him to the pulp as they will say. Hm. I can't believe stuff like this is valid to the plot. I guess Kishi wasn't kidding that everything counts. Now if they release them, if they can, that guy is still in beast mode, so won't it do more harm than good? Unless this part is made to have Madara to get more power, like "Oh what do you know? There is other use for it. More chakra!" Not going to lie, but now I am lost. Lol.
