My only tiny hope for this entire situation is that what Karin is doing here is just an act, because she knows that she wouldn't win against Sasuke in an direct confrontation, so she pretends to be an mindless fangirl only to have Sasuke let his guard dawn, and then when everybody is distracted, BANG, she gives him an stab in the back just like Sasuke did to her. But then again, I'm afraid Kishimoto is not smart enough for that.

This manga is now officially dropped. Are you meaning to tell me that this is all it took for Sasuke to become "good"? All Hashirama did was retell how the village was founded. I'm sorry but was any of that information new to Sasuke? And what "revelations" did Itachi give to Sasuke to change his mind?

The idea that Karin forgave him so quickly made me want to puke. Look, she's crazy, I get it. She's like the Harley Quinn to Sasuke's Joker, I get it. But come on!! He stabbed you in the heart and left you for dead!! And WTF is up with my man Orochimaru?! Now he's feeling bad for Kabuto?! What?! He's talking about he was wrong?! What?! He was my last hope. The last villain in a manga that is increasingly having less true villains.

Do you guys realize that if this goes on, Naruto will end with no real bad guys. Just a bunch of misunderstood or misguided people who found redemption and forgiveness no matter what evil they did? Ugh! I'm done. I'm sticking to reading/writing Naruto fan fics and reading other manga. I can't read this crap anymore.

Well Bleach was pretty good this week, as for my opinion on Naruto , I'm really hoping that somehow Naruto and the Alliance can defeat Madara and Obito before Taka and the Hokages get there, Maybe the Hokages can play a part in re-dividing the Jubi or something, while maybe Sasuke gets mad at Naruto for wining before he got there and the two start to fight.

But as that is unlikely, I guess I'll just have to look at the positives like Naruto and Minato's reunion and finally finding out what Minato's chakra element(s) is/are.

I'd like to think that I am perfectly sane.

This story has been ruined for me. The only thing that will make it better is if Sasuke follows his brother's path and sacrifices himself for the village, but even then, what happened to all of the foreshadowing of Naruto vs Sasuke? What about Naruto's efforts to redeem Sasuke himself? What about Orochimaru's reputation as the most evil and twisted villain in the series? What about Karin's decision to give up on Sasuke? What about everything that's happened so far in the series?

Kishimoto is so inconsistent, I can't stand it. Honestly, I think I'm going to drop this series. Nevermind NaruSaku. If Kishimoto can't even get the plot that he's been foreshadowing since the end of Part One right, then he's going to ruin everything else too, NaruSaku and Sakura included.

I bet he'll throw out all of the character development that she's had thus far and turn her back into a fangirl. Nevermind her "shining moment". I bet she's just going to stand there and watch like she did at the start of Part One. Then Kishimoto will have her chained to Sasuke's bed as his gift for becoming the 6th Hokage.

Awwww! No RR! I always love your posts, and such on Naruto, but I have to agree with you when it comes to the story, especially villains. If he dares does this, then I'm kittening done with the manga. I don't care as much about couples as I used to but I do care about the well being of the supposed hero and more so the heroine. If her shining moment revolves around Sasuke, I'm kittening done, and I mean it. He'll have her backtrack, and then she won't do kitten but stare. He'd basically say kitten Sakura as a character and I'd question what the hell his idea of a heroine is.

He's walking on eggshells with me as it is. One kitten up with Sakura's character after all of this BS, and then I'll say sayonara to this inconsistently jacked up story that went from great to flat out ridiculous...

I so agree with this if he can't write the plot in the proper matter as of now. Then nothing else is redeemable as i said before is it really ok if kishi is considered to be a sellout?

The problem is that one of the central themes of the manga is understanding your enemies. Naruto's been at it throughout the whole manga -- Gaara, Neji, Nagato, just to name a few. To have an enemy who is pure evil, unfortunately, sabotages that theme.

I don't see it being this simple. All Sasuke said was that he wouldn't let his brother and village go to waste. What does that ultimately mean? I thought he'd end up with an Obito-like goal...it sounds good, but it's really not (I don't mean Obito's specific objective). This shouldn't be surprising as Sasuke has his greastest chance to take revenge on Konoha with Naruto not around. Given that Kishi is all but screaming from the mountain tops what the end game is, there was no way Sasuke was going to revert to his original course because even if the First can pull a Madara, the whole village would be witness to him actively tearing it apart and that complicates Kishimoto's ultimate goal.

Also, does anyone think Orochimaru is just going to stand and watch?

I don't think Naruto/Sasuke clash is gone, but I think the grounds it'll be fought on will be different. That has been evident for awhile.

Oh yeah, that bit with Karin was vomit inducing. I might skip lunch so all I do is dry heave. That was so awful. If I didn't hate her character before....

I'm sure people will still bristle at the fangirl charge, but this does nothing to help their case. Geez... I hope that was the translator adding those hearts or that Kishimoto's secretly making her bi-polar or something.

No one here is doubthing NS we are complaining how kishi is doing kitten with his manga.

Still Orochimaru is after Sasuke's body but i'm done with theories, it's not a matter of being predictable is just that when the story flows to one point he simply take another route that has no explanation.

I'm not sure why every time Sasuke does something in the manga, there is a slew of Sasusaku hysteria on these threads. This chapter had nothing to do with Sakura, and I don't understand why people here seem to think Sakura would only love Naruto if Sasuke is the enemy.

I guess can't see it happening, and more importantly why. If Kishimoto was desperate to pair up Sasuke, Karin would be the most logical choice.

This. We agree on something. I'm not doubting NS either. I'm stating that if Sakura is portrayed in a ridiculous manner and/or if she ONLY becomes relevant with the arrival of good ole main character Sasuke, then I'll likely drop this manga. It already doesn't even feel like Naruto the manga anymore. Such a different vibe I get from it, and that's not a good thing in this case.
