If that is going on....REPORT THE OFFENDING POSTS. Don't just hurl general accusations.

Precisely. We will only take moderating action if posts do break our rules of conduct, no matter which pairing(s) the poster likes. If people complain about having the "wrong" set of fans here (remember some people here are fans of multiple pairings), and we are expected to take a broom and sweep them out, how would it make us look to other websites? Do you not remember our vow to rise above bashing and treat everyone equally?

Chill out, guys. If you're getting worked up, take a break from Naruto for a day or two and come back when you feel better. It doesn't do any good to sit here and let all your frustration build up. Not everyone who likes NaruHina/SasuSaku is a troll, you know, and some of them do happen to like NaruSaku as well!

Sorry I have a bad day on DA not here plus reading some post in the NS space on ANH space on NF plus YouTube just made it worst.
A mean why tag something under NS just to bash the fans on the pairing, people even saying stuff like Sakura you useless is time to move on, NH is canon In your face NS.

I try exploring other NS stuff when I felt thing had die down here, but it was a very big mistake.

Give it time, take a break for a couple of days if need be. happy.gif

I do understand your frustration, but the other fandoms are not full of trolls. There are some good and even-handed people as well. I'd just ignore the trolling and move on.

I'm not against if the guys ships NH/SS/Nsasuke/NI.
I dont care, i'm against is NH/SS/NS debates this is really not the place to discuss about it.
There are people just coming to this website to say "NH is canon what it takes for you guys to believe in it".

Like srsly this is fanclub website, it should be to discuss about NS and discuss naruto chapters with NS fans.

I saw you on DA debating I thing against a SS shipper not sure, but if you are like me who loves to see others art read the nice comments users gives the Author or normally check on DA on a daily basis to see if one of you favorite doujin is updated then you will see them a lot.

The thing here is that I'm 25 and for some reason I feel that most not all of the NS fans behave like people my age or close to my age, with the other group I cannot sense it since it feels that they always have the need to bash NS fans and start picking a fight with them.

Might've been a while ago probably, but I only find such comments like once or twice a year. But yeah, I do worry that I'll see a rude comment on Natsumi33's work someday, and sometimes I do check, but I never come across any.

Thanks probably changed now because of this chapter though. I'm 21 and most of the time, I do feel NS fans are more mature. Of course, there's always those couple in every fandom, but when you go around there's always a general air of maturity, generally ok grammar, nice art, not too common hate art, etc. I don't know where the general hate comes from for NS fans, but I assume it's because they feel threatened.

It also doesn't help that some NS fans, even some from here, are waiting to rub the fact that their pairing is canon in the face of the opposing team. If it were our moment, I'm sure some here would blast other fandoms just as other fandoms are doing now.

But in conclusion, I feel as though many NH fans in particular (I feel the same mature air around many SS fans, I don't think anyone is as bad as NH fans), are younger, more vicious, and generally just .... just as obsessed about their pairing as Hinata is about Naruto. I'm not bashing them or anything, just stating an observation. I think it's best not to get engaged with the worse of the group. If you see it, it's in your best interest to block, ignore, and find a happier place to be. If it makes you feel any better on DA, you can blast them and then even block them. tongue.gif (Although, it can be seen as a d*ck move, it might be well deserved)

The truth is, people, that you cannot tell how mature and intelligent someone is based on the pairing they like. No, really, you can't. We are talking about big groups of people here. In a group that big there are many types of people. Some are arrogant, some humble, some don't seem very bright and some come up with a lot of brilliant points in discussions. Some are mature and some not. This is true for fans of any ships. Talking about what ship's fans are the most mature ect is already heading for a very wrong direction. No one is better than someone else because they ship a certain ship.

I don't think we need to go on a personal battle about my personal opinions, because since I become a forums member back in June 2011 I have never encounter a more relapsed fans or lay back fans like the NS but, I cannot say much about SS I think my opinion on them goes by how the support an abusive pairing and the excuses they use sometimes to support SS but sink NS when the other side is the same or worst with all the negative history, but nothing on their overall behavior mindset, mostly those 2, 3 + years SS fans not all of them but must are also relax people like NS.

NH is a complete different story, because I have never encounter a rude set like many not all of those shippers.

The three first user are users like KNS, Paptala, Slex, when you read their lap you feel proud of being a NS fan after reading so much wisdom
There are like 15 users I really enjoy reading their post about pairing and they are the top ones, with some few junior and Bet who I start enjoy reading their post lately.

Honestly, Naruto getting over Sakura just doesn't make ANY SENSE. We've had it confirmed on panel that he has been in love with her since chapter 3. Not only that, but what exactly was Kishimoto getting at with chapter 297? Or the databooks, telling us that Sakura hasn't yet resolved her feelings for Naruto? It's as if someone came in at the last minute and completely rewrote both character's characteristics for the sake of "pointless drama." Honestly, even on the off chance NaruSaku does happen at this point, I'm still going to mark this as being a horrible writing. The mutual hand holding is a means of sealing the deal romantically, hence we're at a conundrum. Just as it doesn't make sense for Naruto to get over Sakura, it also doesn't make sense for him for get over Hinata based on his own words and actions in this chapter.

Thank God for One Piece. Now that's a manga that's actually well written!

Oh, and, to those that it applies: please don't get this thread closed or encourage that it be closed. This thread is great. We're summing up everything that will inevitably be lost in hundreds and hundreds of pages in the debate thread in its own special little thread here. Plus, there are legitimate complaints here that are being brought to the forefront. Frankly, this is the best thread on this website that I've seen in at least a year.

happy.gif *nods to Kirabook and Kenny-kun too*

The thread has a purpose as an overview of Kishimoto's writing style. Basically, it encompasses more than just chapter 615 (so it not a good fit for the chapter thread) and most of the posts have been about the writing in general (so it's not a good fit for the NS debate thread).

I agree though the name gives the thread a bit of a bad rap. We could change the name of to better help posters and keep the topic from turning into a redundant thread....

Like.... "What's Kishimoto's strategy?" or "Where will Kishimoto go from here?"

I wouldn't mind a sister thread to the chapter thread that talks about Kishimoto's overall strategy, comparisons to other manga and anime, the inner workings of editors and marketeers on a manga, and how the reception is in Japan vs. the West.

That way, this thread could stay fresh through the next few chapters. Not just be ranty about one.

Any thoughts? Or have we reached the end of the lifespan of this thread already! laugh.gif

Yeah, I have some thoughts.

Regardless if NH is canon or not, I do not like Kishi's writing style right now. Sacrificing the quality of his manga and the other characters, just to overtroll the fanbase is not something I'm a fond of. I do not like that we're being toyed with. I'll quote myself; "This is no longer a subtle and levelheaded series". Throwing us back and forth like this is making me confused, so I can't understand what he's trying to tell us. To the point where it's hard to follow the series properly. It's making me dizzy, and impatient.

And one more thing, he does not know the meaning of balance. If he is going to make one character shine, he puts everybody else in the background. He even makes them look worse. It's like "Just because I call you ugly, does not make you pretty".
And it's like the chapters can be called the name of the characters, and just that. We've got the Shikamaru chapters, now the Hinata chapter, and several Sasuke arcs.

I'll just stick to my One Piece. Oda's mind is so much more solid XD That is my stuff. love.gif

Kishi is below average when it comes to small details, it's obvious he doesn't plan very well and adds little bits here and there and sometimes it seems this part doesn't belong here but his big picture planning is his saving grace. People should back away from the micro and look at Naruto as a whole, the big picture is always more interesting than the individual piece puzzle imo.
The problem here is as I said the small details the dude tries so much to confuse his readers that in the end he confuses himself his characters and his story the Itachi and Obito revelation are good examples even tough they were obvious when they were revealed Kishi tried so hard to mislead his readers that they were hardly believable.

I've been on that bandwagon for years. I can't stand it when a fandom, any fandom, goes around acting like its the exception to the rule. "Yeah, everyone has their tards but ours are fewer and less annoying...."

PS: I know this idea is a bit out there, but if we all got together and wrote a big fan letter detailing the evidence for NaruSaku and our concerns with OOC behavior in this recent chapter, could that maybe get Kishi to somewhat reconsider the direction he is taking this manga? Or does the letter never even get to his desk?

Kishi's done enough damage before this so that we can't trust him anymore. Let alone including this. But, hey, if you can still trust him, good for you. Enjoy it while you can for those of us that can't.

I honestly doubt it would get to his desk. Even though it's a nice thought, the fandom still shouldn't influence a series like this.

"The time has come at last for you to learn everything . . .
