What I am afraid of, is that this may forever tarnish Sakura's character.

Nah I wouldn't worry Sakura doesn't look to happy. When I see her face I see her saying to herself, "Wow this is everything I've always wanted, so why am I not happy?"

I dont see her acting towards Sasuke the way she was when she was younger. Sakura totally loved the bad boy version of Sasuke, this Sasuke is prince charming and not for her.

I agree with you, but you know what I happen to be seeing? lots of NH fans LIKE this Hinata... I don't get it.. I have spent alot of time debating with people on youtube, and most of the time people go on and on about Sakura being some kind of b*tch/whore.. so now that Hinata is actally acting like one...they LIKE it?

actally, I'm mainly seeing this on Gaiaonline, and I'm combating it with how adorable it is that Sakura admires Hinata... ( cuse her jealous thoughts come across as very innocent and not mad at her or anything...just my funny little way of trying to get people to see Sakura's good side...)


( I admit I have ranted when I shouldn't have on there..) anyway, I'm going off topic... so... what do you think of the fans reaction to AU Hinata compared to how they claim to hate Sakura?

Oh, and your right, I have seen people who do not like this new Hinata at all, but it's the ones that like her when she is being overly mean or flibbing people off with her middle finger...well.. I just don't get it.

Oh my god. Why am I not surprised? How can NH fans LIKE this Hinata? She's worse then Sakura and there encouraging it?! Yet still bashing Sakura. NaruHina fans are such hypocrites.

I also returned to debating on Gaiaonline(User name being "RomanceGirl666") but it's very frustrating. Honestly. That SasuSaku fan I've been debating with are as stubborn as they come(Though it is kinda funny if you compare my paragraph debating with her brief sentence ). But on-topic, let the NH fans swoon over this new Hinata. In the end it's not gonna be good for them, since Naruto is likely going to spend his time avoiding AU Hinata. Do they realize this or do they think he's going to flirt with her or something ?

That was a pretty good chapter/one-shot/whatever it's called. I miss interactions between the K-11, so it was nice seeing here that Kishi hasn't quite forgotten about them. I've always wondered if Sakura was a little envious of Hinata's figure, but I don't recall ever seeing anything confirming that before now. The male bonding was pretty funny too. Oh, and poor Lee.

There wasn't really as much pairing stuff as I was expecting, except for the cover page(s), which seemed like regular ol' shipteasing to me. Sakura's reaction to seeing her bra on Naruto's towel was hilarious. At least, I assumed it was hers, given how she was rampaging at him the hardest. Naruto would have had a nice surprise later if he just went home after Lee's mishap.

The last page kinda confused me though. Why are all the Akatsuki members alive in the regular world? None of them look like Edo Tensei Zombies, and Hidan shouldn't be there regardless, since he's still alive in the canon universe. Has the illusion already started?

Well regardless, that page also really revitalized my interest in this movie. Seeing Sasori, Hidan, and Kisame again? The fact that Kishi killed off all my favorite characters was the one of the reasons I started losing interest in this manga in the first place. I can't wait to see the Akatsuki fight again!

Heh, then Sakura sees her bra hooked on the back of Naruto's towel and socks him one for being a pervert who steals girl's bras. Naruto got off a lot lighter than Jiraiya did when he peeped on Tsunade . Kushina's temper runs a lot hotter than Sakura's too, I bet Minato was afraid to even peek on Kushina after they were married! Naruto was trying to peep and try to see Sakura again, no doubt. Even Hinata looks like she believes Naruto did steal Sakura's bra- she looks so disappointed and sad- there's even a tear coming from her eye

Sakura looked to have had a similar focus as Naruto did during the public bath part of the story...

I do not get because someone thought Naruto was trying to peep specifically at Hinata. Neji simply stated he was not spying on the girls (he was understandably acting like a bodyguard since her cousin and daughter of his Clanhead was in there). Naruto -who had not even considered until Neji opened his big mouth- then decided to go and take a peak. He never mentioned Hinata.

By like it I mean, she's not facing him directly, she's not eyed like she would have been pre-time skip, she doesn't "like" it. She does look unsure, which is evident from the other posters as well. She doesn't hate it, she's not pushing him off, she's not saying no, but she's not completely accepting it as smoothly as she could have. Maybe girls do hold their hands like that when they're getting flirted with, I don't know, from my own girl perspective it looks completely awkward and unnatural. I would have expected Kishi to use a pose more like this:

Heck, his name is Bashful for goodness sakes. When I think bashful, or 'totally into it I'm completely liking this and I have not second thoughts about it', it is not what Sakura looks like in that cover.

And did you completely skip over the rest of what I said? I said that Sakura still have feelings for Sasuke. It's not weird for her to be attracted to this Sasuke or fall for his advances. In the end, I don't believe that she is totally into this Sasuke though, or rather, she kinda doesn't know what to do with him and his actions. Does she accept it or what? In general, awkward, which isn't always bad.

Yeah, Sakura being somewhere in the middle about her reaction would be just right to describe her situation.

She called Halfstar a Sakura basher in one of these threads. I don't remember which one, because I've been switching through several threads today and I lost track of which posts were where, but I remember reading her accusing Halfstar of being a basher.

Well then, it's not her fault since Ciardha was the one who called her a basher first. Lame excuse, but really no other way around to look at it.

She clearly called Half Star out. I dont often jump in to others arguments, but I wont let this one slide: Half is entitled to his opinion. If he believes that Kishi is doing an injustice to Sakura's character he is in every right to make that opinion voiced. No one here, however, has the right to call him out. You can rebuttal his argument, but saying he is a "basher" serves no purpose.

Not only that, she's also bashed several other members me just because we have differing opinions. In fact, I can actually make a list of people she's bashed in the past.

Woah woah woah fellas. I think some of you are reading way too much into one picture.

The reason why Naruto and Hinata are close in both pictures is because the image is supposed to be a mock mirror image. Can't show a comparison is one image is drastically different now can you? It's also to show comparisons and have the characters be completely opposite to what is real.

Second, Sakura is being a little bashful around Sasuke in the picture. Thinking otherwise is foolish. However, judging by the fact that all Akatsuki is still alive shows that this taes place before all that development Sakura got from her feelings about Sasuke. As someone said, this is in the beginning of Shippuden setting. We all know at this time Sakura still had Sasuke fresh in her mind and was the beginning to show feelings for Naruto more predominately. Perhaps the movie will reflect that.

Third, one question I do have is if this is supposed to be what Naruto wants, then why are people so different? What I mean is, did Naruto want Hinata be super aggressive to point of being REALLY violent? Or was it that Tobi accidentally went overboard with it and made a mountain of a mole hill. (Ex. He wanted Hinata to have more confidence in her, but Tobi made her too assertive. Naruto seems to like Rock Lee the way he is which is why he hasn't changed. Neji is not so serious all the time. Sasuke is more "loving" I should say. Not just to Sakura, but to everyone. like he has been smoking weed too many times. Shikamaru not so uptight and lazy. etc etc.) That's my guess anyway.

Fourth, this also seems to be a movie showing a moral standing that "What you think you want may not always be what you really want." Sometimes, in movies, we see a story where people want something to be different or want something else and they get it, but in this "new world" they thought they would enjoy turns out to be worse than what they expected or they come to realize they didn't want it. It is a common plot point in movie and shows and perhaps this is what is going on with Naruto and Sakura. "What if you got everything you desired from the get go?" Naruto and Sakura come to terms with the reality that what they thought they wanted was not really what they wanted and they want everything to go back to the way it was.

Hell, this can even be used to strengthen NaruSaku because what is Sakura find out she really don't like Sasuke? Playing with that whole "Girl only like guy cause he is popular" motif. And since Naruto and Sakura are the only ones who remain constant (Possible Lee too), then that means they have to fin the true meaning to their feelings and ideas.

Sasuke could have been wearing any outfit during this time. No offense, but what's your point? I don't see how Sasuke wearing a different outfit that looks similar to an outfit he wore later in the series means the story takes place at a certain time.

And if that is true, then this movie breaks it's own timeline and like most of the dragonball movies, cannot be fit into any part of the original story line even when wanted to. Canon or not.

Also, let's not confuse the story timeline with the genjustu timeline since these two conflict immensely.

Naruto's mental image was of him in his silver outfit and his bangs in his face, which indicates the Sasuke post-Itachi. 'Cause Sasuke wasn't wearing that outfit in the beginning.

Saying that though, none of this makes sense. So let's stop trying to guess when this movie took place because this movie contradicts the canon timeline. But a lot of movies do so this one's no different I guess .

It is bullying because you'll notice when one of them starts this, a least two more will jump in and start making personal attacks on the person who called out their bashing on Sakura too. I've witnessed this same behavior in other fandoms. It's always the main female character, and the gang up bullying is most often done to those they either know or believe are female...

And u talk like u are the victim here, there is no reason for you to call a lot of users here sakura bashers, just because they wont agree with ur point of view i never seen naruto trying to peek specifically hinata it was sakura all the way and that panties's belonged to sakura.

lets move on i still think that this is aggresive behavior was due to naruto's love towards sakura we seen in a earlier scan naruto a little angry when sasuke took his spot to flirt with sakura on ichiraku and i think that scene when naruto is running is because of hinata pursuing him.

Something I noticed that was a big part of the one-shot that hasn't been brought up yet... Lee was acting off. He looked sad at times, and Kakashi had asked him to do something special for him. Also notice that he, like Naruto and Sakura, seem in character? I think he plays a bigger role in the movie too. As for Sakura, she was showing her nicer, calmer, more mature side! She was annoyed in the baths that she couldn't get to be alone on her day off, but she still noticed Hinata being shy and told her not to be nervous. While Ino was raging against Lee, she said that it could really be a misunderstanding (showing she knows Lee's character) but it was when Naruto had the panties with him did she go all upset.

Nah, Codus and I came to the conclusion that it will probably be Lee who'd pierce through the illusion.

Mind-blowing.

And to be honest, why the conversation about Sakura? This one-shot is to show the day-to-day lives of the Konoha 11, not just Sakura, and how they affect Naruto. Like I mentioned, a lot of people seem to be focusing more on one picture showing the differences between the mirror world and the real world. While relevant to the movie, it's getting to the point that it's being too scrutinized and being tunnel vision.

Honestly after reading through this thread, I don't see what all the whining was about. The chapter cover showing AU Sasuke one arm hugging Sakura while she looks all smiles and flattered shouldn't be anything new at all. This is similar to that movie poster showing Sasuke flirting with her by playing with her hair. Other members have explained this well so I don't need to go into details but just wait for an unbiased summary for the movie to come out if there is one.

I agree with this. Narutos mental image of Sasuke was of him during the Kage Summit Arc because that's the last time he saw him. Plus the way he talked about how much Sasuke changed also gives us more proof that it takes place after the Team 7 Reunion. Just like Narutos mental image of Sasuke before they met in that arc was of him during early Part 2 even though Sasuke has been changed his clothes and hairstyle. So yeah, I would say this mental image proves that the movie takes place after the Kage Summit arc. As to why the Akatsuki are alive, I do not know though it was said in the description of the movie that all the Akatsuki were taken down and they were surprised that they were all back. Maybe they are clones? Idk, we'll have to wait and see.

Oh, you've got to be kidding me. You're trying to act innocent now? Here, can you show me where I bashed you first? Before you look let me help you, you can't. It never happened. All I did was give my opinion that Kishi was doing Sakura injustice then you came out of nowhere and insulted me, telling people not to listen to me and called me a Sakura basher since day 1. Anyone who knows me, knows i'm always on youtube defending her. I'm always on the Mangafox forums defending her. I'm on here defending her when Branden disses her. Oooh but i'm the big bad bully right? Oh please. Instead of being a big cry baby maybe you should have tried to refute my points instead of bashing me and calling me something i'm clearly not.
