The way I see it, I wonder if because this is the last arc, they want to cater to the fans' wishes. The Buu arc was the last arc, same goes for this war.
I'm sorry, but do you mind me asking what happened for Bakuman? I actually don't know of what happened behind the scenes for the manga, just that all of a sudden it came to end.

Yeah those leaks are coming from http://www.youtube.c...ure=csp-in-feed apparently he's going to be uploading the entire movie soon. I saw most of the leaks he had and let me tell you they were horrible. Most of the time you only see the top of the movie screen while you hear epicness happening. If you all want to see what he has up check out his channel, I didn't share before due to the quality, we'll see what the movie looks like if he does upload it.

The problem is that there are two things to take note of:
1. Series placed around the back of the magazine are lower-ranked series. By doing this to Bakuman's last chapter, it's literally an insult to the mangakas and doesn't give it the proper send-off it deserves. Keep in mind that Bakuman is one of the most successful mangas they had during the 2000's. By doing that, they literally gave the finger to their mangakas.
2. The last arc had the conflict of the mangakas and their editor against the editorial department. The reason being that the editorial department wants to keep the Ashirogi duo's manga running for as long as they can whereas the duo want to give it the natural ending it deserves instead of needlessly milking it for all it's worth. Going by this, it's pretty obvious that the same conflict happened in RL. As Bakuman is one of their most successful mangas, of course they wouldn't want it to end so soon and instead try to milk it for all its worth.

My theory, is that what we've been seeing is simply an ascended "SAIYAN" mode called God Saiyan mode, additionally I believe he's able to transform in that mode to a Super Saiyan, which we have not seen yet. Again, the battle in space that we've been seeing is most likely the final battle, and in space he's clearly in a Super Saiyan mode.

So, basically.. the Saiyan God mode we're seeing here now is just Stage 1 of that mode or something like that??
P.S.: You guys will be amazed, the movie made close to half of what OP: Z movie made on the first day alone. AND the studio is aiming for 3 BILLION Yen!! also, it's noted that the audience consisted of parents in their late 20's to 50's with their children. I kinda wonder if the Big 3 along with Mashima will coincidentally watch the movie together and meet up. I know Kubo and Mashima has twitter. So, if by chance they all met up with each other to see their childhood anime returning to the big screens, I'd hope they tweet a picture of it.
Seeing the Big 3+Mashima together in one photo is a fanboy dream come true.

I've heard that Goku loses to Bills since this is his first level of God mode, I'm not too sure how true that is. However the turn out for it's first night is amazing! That's just so awesome! I agree with the Big 3+Mashima getting together, the epicness would be off the scale!

When you consider that Toriyama is their childhood hero, it's not a farfetched daydream to think of. I kind of wonder if JUMP held a viewing party for all its mangakas with this movie. If so, I wish Kubo would tweet a pic of the Big 3+Toriyama posing together.
If Kubo ever plans to sell that pic, I'm sure Otakus around the world would shell out top money for it.

Yep. That's my guess as to why Goku is still getting his butt handed to him. I also noticed that I worded my explanation incorrectly, because we have seen Goku in Super Saiyan mode when fighting Bills in Earth's upper atmosphere, that's one of the main reasons why I have my conjecture.
As far as the opening earnings, it's awesome to hear how this went. I guess the US isn't the only country that likes nostalgia.

Hmm... I agree. I hope there's definitely more to what SSJG is really like.
EDIT:
HOLY CRAP. It took Kishi 3 months or so to get to 1 Billion. At this rate, the movie will reach 1.5 Billion by the next day.

It's all over Facebook that a new series is on the horizon. I'm not sure though as much as I'd love to see it I'm thinking is just wishful thinking. But maybe just maybe....well see something.

1. Select everything past Frieza-saga.
2. Delete.
3. Done. Now you have the best series ever.
No I don't roll like that. (EXCEPT with GT.)

Ah so it wasn't just me then, eh Kage Derock?

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks! I did kinda get the feeling that bakuman was getting a bit draggy in some parts when there could've been a nice natural ending point soon. So when they mentioned ending the manga naturally as an topic in bakuman, I wondered if it had something to do with their own manga. I'm glad they ended it on a nice note if you exclude JUMP being a butt about the last chapter.

Yikes! Then again the series has been around for a long time and has fans of all ages, even some of our current mangakas! The sales are probably go through the roof when it goes overseas.

Wouldn't be surprised if it does go overseas, it could reach close to a total of half a Billion dollars overall in gross.
UPDATE:
Dragon Ball Z Is Top Non-U.S. Film Overseas
And that's just in Japan ONLY!!! I really wonder if Hollywood (maybe Fox) will actually be tempted to dub it.

It would be interesting to see if they'll indeed dub it. I swear if they see how big it is over sea they need to just release it in theaters too. I would love to see this on the big screen.
So then something has been confirmed...warning major spoiler!

Funimation says to buy the Kai DVDs if we want them to raise enough money for dubbing. Which makes perfect sense
