Yeah I thought that too. But it just seems like too much of a hint to not be one. I mean the white snake and the double color bubbles....It's like Kishi is trying to smack us in the face.

I'm really confused. What's with the speech bubbles? huh.gif This thread is so active I can't keep up.

It's obvious that the Naruto who saved Hinata isn't the real one, so there is nothing to talk about NaruHina moment, because it's not, this Naruto is a Zetsu. Kiba noticed it and Naruto doesn't have this diabolic smile.

Comparaison Naruto saving Sakura and Hinata :

This Zetsu will know the same fate as the one that wanted to kill Sakura. Zetsu knows that Hinat aloves Naruto from Pain arc, he saw the whole fight.
So he will probably try to attack her while he will convince her that he's in love with her, and baaaam... Hinata will punch him like hell and will tell him that his trick doesn't work because Naruto arleady said that he loves someone else (flashback where Naruto will gives his answer to Hinata's confession)

This is very positive for NaruSaku I would say.

PS : Sorry for bad english guys.

Hm, that's a very interesting theory there. Though I won't hold my breath about it.

As for what Kabuto is about to summon (or Mu assuming it's his own summon from back when he was alive), I'm going to take a wild guess and say that it's CTHULU!!!!!!!!!! argh1.png

Speaking of which, didn't anybody notice the differing colors in Kabuto's speech bubbles?

Looking forward to next weeks chapter. :True:

Wow, when I finally come on, this thread's already six pages deep? Well, that's nice I guess. I suppose the N/S and N/H reunions have people celebrating, cussing, or double-celebrating if you ship Naru/Harem. Heck, maybe that was Kishi's endgame all along tongue.gif (not that it'd matter, since Naruto would obviously give more attention to one of his wives than the rest happy.gif ).
I know I don't need spoilers, but I'm pretty long-winded tongue.gif --Click here to view--
Anyways, as for the chapter, I was pretty happy with it. I was a little bit tired of the "Naruto saving everyone" routine, but he only killed Zetsus from what I could gather (I think anyway, were those guys that beat up Hinata Zetsus or Zombies?). Plus, I was happy to see Naruto meeting up with everyone finally (ha ha, and I loved Ino's reaction to Naruto showing up). I guess now we'll probably see some fights on the individual fronts.

Also, I saw Sojobo's post from earlier, and almost spit out my beverage. I'm usually pretty skeptical about stuff like that, but I think you might be on to something. Kishi's art style is pretty predictable, from what I've seen, so it seems odd that he'd give Naruto a sort-of 'evil grin' (almost identical to the Neji clone's grin, I might add), instead of his trademark reassuring one. So I think there's a good chance something's at play here. I admit, I am a little confused at how he could harness the Kyuubi's cloak, but maybe Zetsu clones can do that somehow. I mean, we really don't know too much about them, at least enough to come to conclusions about that sort of thing. Either way, I'm looking forward to finding out next chapter.

Now for the shipping stuff. I like that we finally got our Naru/Saku reunion, but I suppose Naru/Hina also got a reunion. I guess I don't mind, but having Hinata's at the end of the chapter, and seeing Hinata in more of a damsel-in-distress role than Sakura, sort of left me with an N/H taste in my mouth. At the very least, I did notice that, out of all the K-11 members Naruto could have saved, he only saved two this chapter. The two characters who he just happens to be paired with most often in the hetero shipping fandom. I'm probably a little late in realizing this, but this tells me two things. (a.) Kishimoto is aware of the 'shipping wars', and (b.) he's intentionally pushing them along until near the end of the manga. I think we might get a nice N/S (or N/H???) hint in the next chapter or two, but I officially doubt anything's gonna be set in stone until right before or sometime after the climax of the story.

Anyways, I have a few more thoughts on this chapter, but this is starting to get pretty long, so I'll just post later on when I feel like bringing up something in particular. So much happened in this chapter, I think I'll just chew on it for a while.

Also, a random question popped into my head. Now that Naruto's clones have re-entered all the battlefields, it looks like the WSJ spoiler from a few weeks ago was right after all. So here's my question: if Kishi was going to have Naruto reunite with every character this chaper, why did the spoiler only say, "...Naruto heads to where Sakura is"?

So WHEN did this turn into pointing out NH/debating of that clone is a white Zetsu? mellow.gif

Response: Oh well that IS suspicious. However Hinata is Naruto's FRIEND at the very least so I don't see why he wouldn't save her and remember If Kishi is really pulling off this Zetsu backstabbing thing he's REALLY pushing his luck here because her fans would burn him at the stake if their PRECIOUS GODDESS was hurt in any manner and also because that dramatic rescue they are drooling over would would be a HUGE B**** slap to them so I'd imagine they'd bust down his residential door and terrorize him for eternity, therefor preventing him from writning again OR coercing him to write lovey dovey NH *shudders* sick.gif

LMFAO! 111189.gif I don't think the fandoms will influence kishimoto's story and how he is going to write it. In reality if they did that, they would all get arrested and recieve restraining orders.... XD

I agree with everything you said, but as for the 'set in stone,' do you still think it'll be NS even with some other NH reunions? dry.gif

Daaaaaamnn! That's awesome, it makes a lot of sense. Kiba did note how it didn't smell like Naruto. happy.gif

At first I though Kiba thought that Naruto smelled different because he was in Nine-Tails Chakra mode. Now it all makes sense why Kiba noticed this difference in Naruto.

I have thought about this but maybe the real Naruto is not with Bee but is actually going to Sakura! If that's the case then we are in for some real NS moments.

Well Since the name of the manga is Naruto and the development and hints should speak for themselves. Naruto loves Sakura since. Sakura has confused feelings for him. that tells you where his going. I have a feeling Kishi is just going to drag these pairings out to the end to keep people interested. NH is not important to the plot
the next NS moments are inevitable.

Kishi knows that NS wins, he new what he was doing when he make NaruSaku like naruto's parents. So many plots that lead up to it, at this point NS= Winning and Naruto with anyone else= trolled by Kishi

It reminds us how overpowered he is, actually, and takes away all of the entertainment for me. If there's no tension in any of these fights, then why care? We just know he'll win most of them with extreme ease, so why even bother paying attention if we already know the outcome? I'd rather see fights where the characters have to actually work to win so that we actually get more good fights, but noooooooooooope Naruto is just saving everyone left and right while we sit here without feeling any tension whatsoever.
Keep in mind that most of these are supposed to be LEGENDARY ninja and that most of these battles are being won with extreme ease, considering that they're LEGENDARY ninja.

Actually don't think Naruto is shown to be that strong, it's just that the Kyuubi mode is designed almost specifically to fight against the White Zetsu's, the Chakra turns them into tree and their bloodlust makes them easy to pinpoint. If you look at the final page, it shows Naruto pointing in a certain direction (and i'll admit it looks like a hero pose) but I think it's him pointing out to the allie the directions the enemy is coming from, so he is working with them. He's not really fought any of the legendary enemies except for Negato who he needed Itachi's help to defeat and the former Raikage where he used the kage's own power against him.

I think we'll see him working with Team Asuma to defeat Dan by working out his weakness, this was hinted, with Itachi's advise. However I do agree there is not much tension in these battles, you pretty much get the feeling they are who we think they are, Cannon fodder, Now hopefully whoever Kabutomaru has summoned will be more than just some random cannon fodder....but who is it? Actually that could be the reason behind the lack of tension, Kishi originally showed the dire state the allience was before Naruto arrived, and then now it looks like the tides have turned, but with Sasuke, Madara and his undead Jinchuriki's and whoever Kabuto summoned the tides are likely to turn once again, just when they are winning they the opposition start showing their strongest hand.

Well said, Naruto did look a bit heroic didn't he, also liked how you mentioned the thing about enemy showing strongest hand when the good side is getting the tides turn to their favor. Overall I pretty much agree with you, I believe that Naruto is still in the mist of battles and not much pairing moments could really happen (or could they?). happy.gif

Well I just though of something here, all of the Hinata big pairings were there (NejiHina, NaruHina, and KibaHina) OHHH lordy! This might be more than just another NaruSaku and NaruHina pairing war again! happy.gif

I don't really see any naruhina at all. Naruto never looks at Hinata, never speaks to her, he speaks to the group in general. Nor does Hinata blush or react in any kind of romantic way. I noticed the chapter also puts Hinata in a weak, non heroic position- she is shown still staring at Naruto, seated on the ground even after being saved, and note, Naruto didn't find the threat to her strong enough to bring out rasengan. Compare that to the interaction with Sakura- he uses two rasengan, speaks directly to Sakura, smiles in a happy acknowledging way to her. Then we see her coming with Naruto as he half turns his head back and points forward. (Kishimoto made the comment in 2009 that Sakura is the heroine of the story, not Hinata, and he would be emphasizing that more from now on, so the readers would understand.) It wasn't narusaku in the an overt romantic sense, but their very close bond certainly was certainly emphasized in this chapter, there's a kind of subtle element of their romantic bond, but it's very low key.

Now there were definitely examples of Neiji and Kiba's feelings about Hinata in the chapter. Kishimoto is dropping the least hints there about whether Hinata will end up with Neiji or Kiba. I think it be Kiba, since, Hinata has shown more concern for Kiba over the years. And we have the example of Kiba's mom not having a softer side. She's a true "tough love" type. We saw Kiba doesn't just grouse about his mom like Shikamaru, he outright blames his mom for being so tough she drove his father away. There's some real bitterness there. That's why he likes a soft, non-assertive girl like Hinata. For Neiji it goes back to when he first saw Hinata when he was 4 and she was 3. He thought she was cute. Since he got past his bitterness about what happened to his father and the bird seal, I think a bit of those feelings came back.

Okay, so the chapter stared out like every other chapter we've been having. So I was very pleasantly surprised to see Sakura. But when Naruto swooped in and rasenganed those Zetsus I think I experienced a fangasm. xD I am so very happy to see a reunion! Oh glory glory hallelujah. I agree with what most are saying. A NS moment cannot be too far off in the future. And the way he smiled at her and still calls her Sakura-Chan ....love.gif
The NaruHina moment did not bother me in the slightest. Kishi wants to keep all the fans hanging by a thread until it is all resolved. Plus, now people cannot say "Sakura always needs to be saved!" because Hinata needed protection as well.
I DEFINITELY think Sojobo is onto something. What with the weird smile, lack of rasengan, and not to mention that panel of Kiba's smell comment. It all adds up.
Also I just want to say I really appreciate Naruhina488 for being here. You definitely add a little spice to these forums with your similar and different opinions. And I can tell you are a very pleasant and open minded fan. Some people may be threatened by you here but don't let yourself be scared off! (:

I don't think I can wait for next week. It can't come sooner enough!

KibaHina is my pick between any Hinata pairing anyway. Overall I believe they are really a cute couple, no doubt that Kiba could handle her, Neji being with Hinata sounds more like a clan thing and thats not really all that romantic. happy.gif On a side note, Neji can always have tenten right? cool.gif

Hold on a sec, I might sound like I've misunderstood what you've said, but are you trying to imply that Neji may have romantic feelings for Hinata? I know it's possible for NejiHina to happen considering the Hyuuga clan's traditions, but still. I haven't seen any hints for NejiHina other than Neji being protective over Hinata since they're cousins and the fact that she's in the main family and it's Neji's duty to protect her as a part of the branch family. The only way the two ever got closer was when Hiashi told the truth about his father, and I don't really think anyone would consider that, well, romantic. But I'm just getting a little confused over this bit so...

They're not cousins, they're half-siblings. Considering their fathers were identical twins, it's the same as if Hiashi married Hinata's mother and had her and Hanabi and married Neji's mother and had Neji.

The naruto clone that saved sakura was real clone naruto (of course ) but the one with hinata is getting really suspisious. One thing that may make me believe that the naruto clone is not a zetsu is the the Nine-tailed fox mode. How could zetsu imitate that? What really surprised me is that Zetsu came back for sakura. He could of went for shizune or any other of the high maitnence medic ninjas, but he went to kill sakura.... Is that kishi's way of showing us how much of a high level shinobi
she really is? P.S thanks fliss!

Yeah, I'm not quite sure if Zetsu is able to copy fox mode. But I had no idea he could imitate chakra until he pretended to be Neji, so who knows.

It is indeed odd he keeps trying to get at Sakura. Maybe she is seen as a huge threat (be it because of her medical expertise or just her strength). I guess we will know in time.
