Exactly. Totally out of bounds. Even if I didn't have old friends I lost contact with over the years that I'm trying to find out if they are okay I would have found that "joke" grossly offensive.
Alexander I answered that question, and making grossly insensitive "jokes" is what is immature, not revulsion to so called humor. Making a joke like that shows an immature lack of empathy for others- something that develops in the forebrain as you mature from around age 10-26. Being offended by such humor in these circumstances shows that part of your brain has matured enough.

I tend to disagree, I believe true maturity comes from be able to tolarate other persons offences without letting it get to you, it shows you are beyond their insults, how many wars and conflits could had been avoided if our leaders were able to act that way? Well, I don't expect anyone to agree with me, one thing I know for sure is that no statement in this world made by anyone is definitive.

Reactor 3 is considered very likely to have its fuel rods melting causing radiation. And with the USS Reagan's reports of radiation exposure of 1 month in 1 day it's very bad.
Japanese leadership was already under fire before the disaster because the Prime Minister was on the verge of resigning or being charged by taking foreign contributions. And has an approval rating under 20%. http://www.thedailyb...d=hp:mainpromo2
Rolling blackouts are occuring, along with food shortages, fuel shortages and sharp production decline. http://online.wsj.co...3324659522.html
Many are homeless and transportation has been crippled.
My two cents on the bickering above: So yeah, you might want to expect a delay in your manga for awhile.

It's hard for me to really make a judgement call on the prime minister, especially considering the only thing I know about their politics is a)One party won almost all the elections since Japan became a democracy and 2) Prime Minister after Prime Minister has been resigning. In all honesty though, I think it's wrong to blame the current guy; I'm sure he and the rest of the government are doing everything they can, and this is just a case of one natural disaster beyond their control after another.
Then again, there was the Katrina kitten up years ago, so if that could happen in the US I suppose similar incompetence can happen anywhere, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Which will affect business overseas as well (I'm expecting to see some business loss in my store, since we order parts from Japan). This doesn't bode well for anyone right now. But the Japanese are resilient, they'll bounce back in no time.

There are reports that the containment unit was damaged, if they cannot find a way to cool down everything it is now only a matter of time that a meltdown will occur or is occuring as we post.
I repeat, the final Reactor at the Nuclear Plant has had an explosion 2 hours ago! Fuel Rods were fully exposed, Reports of Damage to the Containment unit. Tokyo Electric spokesman says some staff were evacuated from the plant.

Oh yeah, we completely ****ing botched that one.
It is. We need some other alternatives fast. If only so it's not necessary to deal with something so goddamn dangerous.

A new Reactor, Reactor 4 is now reported by CNN and the AP to have a fire. The Utility is downplaying the situation heavily, not being fourthcoming.
It is now highly possible that the rods in reactors 1-3 are all melting.
UPDATE: Serious Development the Japanese Government has issued a Statement, All People remaining within 30km of the Fukushima Nuclear Plant are to get out now or to get indoors and stay indoors. Radiation levels are now high enough to affect human health.
