That is true the only confirmation we do have is, that Unicron isn't in the third movie. And that Shockwave is the main villian of the third film.
Bay obviously wants to throw the media in circles for greater hype and surprise once the movie is near it's release. It's not smart to actually reveal the true villain this early from the movie release.
If Bay wants to make his fans happy he should do a entire movie about the war on Cybertron.

I'm actually intersted in this one, they gonna pick up the cast of the 3 first films, minus Sean of course, the only thing they need in this one is more racing sequences, that were drastically reduced in the previous movie were they gave more atention to the "on foot action".

Please tell me I'm not the only one to see Tron: Legacy. I caught a midnight showing in 3D. I thought the film was pretty awesome. Amazing visuals, great action, it was all-around a good time for me and my friend.

I'm still the kind of person though who simply cannot enjoy a sequel or follow-up movie, unless I have seen what came before it ^^

As I said in the review thread Tron Legacy is awesome. A great fun movie and highly reccomended.
On a personal note I wouldnt pay the extra to see it in 3d but YMMV.

Wow, really? No wonder I enjoyed the music so much XD
Tron: Legacy was an entertaining movie, though there were some things I didn't quite understand about it and the story itself could use a bit more bulking up. Also, Jeff Bridges as CLUE...and any other time he was featured young was distracting for me because of the CGI used to make him look younger. Other than that, I enjoyed seeing the Tron world and the fight scenes.

I got free tickets for a 3D viewing. It was worth my time... very very well done.
And teh soundtrack? Trying to find it right now. The music is awesome.

Yeah I have to agree with the Soundtrack. I like Daft Punk already and pairing them with Tron is like a match made in heaven. And it showed with the music.
