Hinata never cared. That has always been her character. She only cared about herself.

Kish basically gave her little to no development other than her standing up to Neji.

Because Hinata is the only character with romantic interest with naruto.
Just like if naruto and sasuke dead, sakura will go with lee.

Ino doesn't have romantic interest with naruto.

If kishi were to go with Sakura dead. A Naruto Ino interaction would be bound to happen since she was Sakura best friend, her former protector, her initial role model, and rival. Let's face it if hinata tried having a moment with Naruto after Sakura's death where she tried to comfort him it would come off as incredibly hollow. Also come off as her taking advantage of the fact her main obstacle is gone. That why neji had to die in the manga because that is one of the few people she has any connection with that also have a connection with Naruto(other then kiba).

oh, i get what you mean, like shika did with naruto when jiraiya died.. but hinata is the obvious no. 2 imo

i was so hyped for a lee-sakura interaction in the war arc.. when lee noticed sakura on gaara's sand. and nothing happened

Yes, she is. The dead of sakura is one of sakura haters and nh fan wish to happen to sakura.

Well, lee got shaft pretty much for the entirerity of part 2.
If people doesn't want NS to happen badly because they are a mainxmain pairing, than a leesaku and sasuKarin/ino should happen too.

I'll never understand for the life of me why Naruto took Neji's death a lot harder then Hinata... I mean I do understand because Hinata's been nothing but selfish in the manga (I say in the manga because the anime made her out to be an angel), but from any real writing standpoint, Naruto should be the one to comfort her, not the other kittening way around. And then to have that awfully shallow "Naruto's hand is so warm" nonsense... melonfarmer

If they weren't gonna do Narusaku then they could of atleast paired Sakura up with Lee who is a better choice than Sasuke. Lee wouldn't hit it and quit it leaving Sakura to take care of their child by herself while cheating on her.. Also i have noticed that people are doing lots of NaruSaku cheating/ntr manga and fanfics. Good development for Hinata would of been for her to stop chasing Naruto,marry Neji and fix their clan like they were supposed to.

I don't think the issue is that she only care about herself, because I've never seen Hinata care for her own wellbeing. She is blinded from the world and when she looks around, she sees Naruto and everything else is in the corner. She is narrow-minded all her canon thoughts are about Naruto in one way or another. How to use Naruto's spirit to boost herself up, how to protect Naruto(because Neji said so this still makes me laugh), how to be acknowledged by Naruto. Everything else is blocked out because she never got relevance outside of her role as a fangirl. Love for her sister is blocked out because Naruto is more important, asking Katsuyu about Pein's abilities was out of the question because then she couldn't save Naruto by herself. When it is not the time to think of Naruto, she is in the corner too.

 

I don't think it's fun to analyse this because it isn't well written, on purpose-plot. It's lazy and in Kishi's mind, Hinata is more of a device/pawn to occasionally be used for one thing(Give Naruto the big-boobed fangirl he never had!), than a complete person to him.

I think, that because naruto has fought neji and neji fought for naruto. That's why naruto hit harder than Hinata.
That scene is meant to be nh scene and to show Hinata shining moment.

And that's the only moment where neji get spotlight.

NaruHina is just a one-sided infatuation/obsession on Hinata's part. Naruto is like her rockstar, she gains weird confidence from seeing him never give up. That is pretty much why she was able to stand up to Neji during part one. Also Sakura shouldn't be so flat chested in part 3.

Yes, but she's the only character who romantically love naruto when every girl want sasuke kitten and fan love her.
That scene give her boost in popularity.

Tsunade uses jutsu. Sakura is 17 at the end of the series and has A-cup. Now she's C, that's unrealistic - coming from a person with boobs.

When I say she only cares about herself, I'm not talking about her own well-being/life/not dying. I'm referring to what she wants.

With her it's always about what she wants. Because that's who she is. A selfish girl.

And you are right, it's lazy on Kishi's part because he never cared about her. To him her character was just a plot device. Nothing more.
