Well, so long the outcome is the same, that's all it matters. I'm only addressing to the FMA scene. As for Gintama, yeah, they do change around, though they do go back of course. It's rather funny because if you wouldn't know the switch places, you would think "Hey, we're close to the manga. I guess the season ends here." Truth is they skipped a good chunk. As of now, I'm surprised that the first two episodes are filler, which they were hilarious. Unless they came from much late in the manga, but who knows. That's only Gintama though. Like I said, Gintama is special. I don't need to read the manga to know that the anime is superior than the manga. I am a bit "unnerved" though that there might be short stories that I've not seen yet b/c Gintama just switches arcs in the anime as it likes. Who knows how I'm even supposed to catch up with the manga once I'm done with the anime? Might
as well start reading from chapter 1 -.-
But normally when it comes to animes... I hate it when the anime leaves things out or alternate things when they really shouldn't have. It makes you feel that your experience with the series is incomplete/distorted (hello Tokyo Ghoul) so that you can't openly discuss your impressions with manga readers. Manga readers will always charge on and say, this was different, and blablabla.
Example: When Ed "confessed" his love towards Winry in the end, Winry reacted totally different in the manga. She was literally frantic and hitting the train out of frustration. She was so much more calm though in the anime. Why change that? Yeah, I'm nitpicking, but that's how I am :(
Anyway, I agree with you. As for me, I duel wielding these series, so I know what's changed or not. I would say that anime is always more bright when it comes to a moment, which is a good thing, nothing wrong with it. The only troublesome would be like "Wait, that scene didn't happen? Aw, they really make it seem like they will go out." No I'm not only referring to Naruto. This is general. Though I will be honest, it does get me, so anime knows their tactic. Damn them...
So yeah, I understand.
