I personally think that its unique to the devil fruits themselves, like each awakening is different depending on the devil fruit. I thought of the lion too! I hope it looks like the Ryokyogan, ill fangasm if it does. 

this needs an explanation because right now it's confusing the hell out of me and i don't like it :(

gear 2nd was kinda self explanatory and it didn't seem like an asspull. this df awakening feels so forced and unnecessary.

there was a lot of logical explanations going around forums during that time, and majority of them were leaning on steroid boost.

Oh lol I was about to say. I wouldn't mind Doflamingo getting beat here, tbh. That would be kinda cool XD

The last one wasn't bad! I did like 13 as well. My favorites might have been 2, the one when they were on Enies lobby before getting to the tower of justice, and the last one.

Mabye it's the people that got hit by Doflamingos's Parasite strings eariler, that are the ones that are turning (or something).
