What if was all a Genjustu? That would be more twisted than a Shymalam movie.

How I view it is like...if you didn't take the time to write it in the manga then it's of no use. It's like Chouji and Kamui getting their own separate novel when they could have easily been explained properly in the main story line. I'm expecting these novels to be just as bad as Final Fantasy XIII novels. (They completely forgot about Serah and Snow's marriage when that was the entire story line of the first d*mn game)  

 

And if Kishimoto planned The Last two years ago when he had too, then all of that, including Minato's words and the CPR scene, were red herring. That much is true. It was all in there to mislead us, when he could have taken the time to actually develop miss underrepresented over there....(Hinata)

He did develop SS more during those two years. Kishi showed how Sasuke didn't give a damn about Sakura and was willing to let her die because she meant nothing to him. If he actually liked the SS pairing he would have given them positive moments together, but all we got was more negative ones.

1st - you totally right about that.

2nd - it really doesn't make sense, to create relationship that totally based on whole story, deeply inserted in other parts of relationship, mirroring and foreshadowing other's characters, even has a movie dedicated to whole deepnes of problem between two characters. So only people that want to belive in NH as planned may belive in "red herring", but it's doesn't work that way.

Look....I'm torn between "Did he really just end his story like this" or "Is he really going to end his story like this" 

 

In other words: 

 

Did he really just end his story off of pure fanservice that didn't even correlate with the entirety of the manga or is he really going to claim that everything was genjutsu in order to continue a story that's way past it's bedtime?

If that theory actually came true I'd be speechless because Kishi really had to go that far to make NS happen? That's really cruel to all the fandoms.

 

But seriously that's crazy to believe in that genjutsu theory anymore. Not going to happen.

Kishimoto put himself in really stupid position.

But what we know for sure is that this is the time that the production for The Last began. So to be fair, NH was canon two years ago. It just still didn't reach enough development from then to now. Kishimoto spent too much time trying to dissuade his readers than he did trying to convince them.

After the Genjustu Hinata confronts Naruto. He politely turns her down and she understands and move on. Later on Naruto and Sakura gets together and lives happily ever after.

Yep, you're totally right. Two years ago it was NS all the way because Kishi didn't give NH anything but a single moment that was one sided, and we know it's one sided because the Last proves that Naruto never saw her in a romantic way until the genjutsu. SS had nothing but negative moments throughout the entire manga. All logic pointed to NS happening, but the company and Kishi dictated NH/SS would make them more money based off popularity and that's why we are stuck with this kitten ending.
