Going beyond 2014 is likely, maybe mid 2015 at the least, its not a matter of time, it's a matter of how much extra space is needed for the ending to occur, this means enough space for all of team 7s members to develop but also many other things such as the kage fates, tailed beasts, etc. there are many plot elements, some are resolved as we see more chapters but things need to be done like for Sakura's development, however it occurs and leads her, there has to be some event or thought on her part, this gives her a trait to move along with, at a gradual pace, then she arrives at this development, kinda like what happened to Sasuke right now seeking something other than revenge or naruto and kurama becoming friends after the edo jinchurki, resolving to do something about kuramas hate, learning the 7 names, and vowing to free them from obitos control.

There is still time for sakura to get the development she needs, maybe even a powerup but still enough for good honest heroine development she needs and what will allow her to fulfill her development for team 7 alongside naruto, Kakashi, and Sasuke. Kishi just needs to make it right, not saying anything pairing oriented, just make her the heroine she needs to be, let her fulfill her potential.

Don't you think that forgetting her selfish love for a selfless one isn't full development. She definatly needs to stand out more on the battle field and forget about Sasuke, but how is not loving Naruto not full character development. Her romance is probably the biggest question about her in the manga, why not have the development between the two be adressed and answered? (At least it sure as hell is mine)

I get where your coming from. Don't put expectations to high for you will be dissapointed, but keep your expectations low and you may end up with a big surprise, Right?

Basically, yeah, don't think sakura can just go to naruto and don't count out naruhina from occurring even though you don't want it too, Kishi can make these happen.

In my case, when it comes to sakura I put my expectations at a mid level
She can turn to naruto when it comes to future events, mainly Sasuke, she can turn to naruto, it's not impossible given the parallels, Sasuke attempting to kill her 2 times, the depression over Sasuke in 540, the panel in 615, the data book, the fact that Kishi said the crush was selfish, it's a negative trait sakura cannot keep, this at least lets us expect that in order to keep sakura as a consistent character, she cannot remain with this view, she needs to get over sasuke for proper development regardless of any pairings, she can be friends with him in the end but even then sakura has not had any real impact on Sasuke like Sasuke did on her, naruto and sakura impacted each other a lot more, this is something to expect.

I expect some development with sakura on tsunades potential death, this also being some powerup moment, I think it is possible for sakura to get some powerup in reason this late, I think she can get the strength of 100 technique to help in the fight considering we have not seen her in the 9 tails enchantment moments and if itachi could give Sasuke his ocular jutsu by simply transferring it by finger, not hard to imagine tsunade doing this too. There is a lot of potential for these things to happen in the current step up of things. There have even been theories about even hashirama giving her sage mode or something as unlikely as it sounds.

Just expect stuff in reason, these things I said can come, least the first paragraph of stuff does make sense but even then Kishi can just do something really really unexpected.

More like sink, but I digress. Kishi is known to do the middle part for side characters with Naruto involved while the end ends with Team 7 or Naruto alone, but in this case, it will be team 7, especially since Kakashi needs a closure. I guess you can say that the last arc will finally close Sasuke and Sakura because they're the only one that takes Naruto the longest. Not to mention before ending them, we need interactions, including where's Yamato. Hm, I wonder if Hashirama will meet him.

I saw the thread title of "Naruto and Hinata (volume cover)" and then I saw the vast blow-up of pages in this thread. Immediately, I wondered what the hell had happened while I was offline and how serious it was. My thoughts? "Dear lord, what is it this time?"

Then I see the cover ... I was slightly surprised but not angry or worried. I honestly didn't see the big deal, it didn't seem nearly as bad as I thought it would be. It's just a cover and not even a very threatening cover. Sure just by judging the cover it looks romantic but if you read 616 rationally you realize it wasn't; Naruto's serious face enforced it. I'm glad to see most of us don't really care much, it confuses me to see NS fans freak out over something so minor. Towards the end of that volume, the Hyuga Clan got impacting focus and Hinata briefly stole the spotlight for her much needed development. The NH hand-holding though one-sided was emphasised as a closing for Hinata's development. She probably won't get something as big as 615 again now, she had her moment.

So yeah, it makes a weird type of sense for me to have the NH hand-holding on the cover. It would've been better with some ObiNaru parallel demonstrations but it's not like this is complete BS. Since this is the last time Hinata will be "important", Kishi might as well crack in some fanservice to temporarily appease the NH fanbase as well. He's definitely trolling the ships again, seemingly both NH and NS.

I really don't care about this cover and am confused/amused that the NH fanbase is shouting canon just because of a cover ... but they latch on to anything NH-related. They don't have the security and comfort IMO of the NaruSaku development and focus that we do so it's really not much of a surprise. It never is.

I was just thinking the same thing. We as NS shippers are fewer in number, but we make up for it with superior debate skills and manga evidence. In the end, however, the massive army of NH will still overrun and slaughter us

Not exactly like the movie one spartan got away, worked with allies of Sparta, end of the movie had a force of over 10000 Spartans, we are fewer in number but have stronger arguments, we are very low right now due to the lack of naruto and sakura interaction, but being pushed this far back can turn and with nh hype on overload due to the 615 moment and vol 64 cover, some would think its bad, rtn being our only real defense since Kishi himself made it, but this lack can soon turn when it comes to important development when naruto, sakura, and sasuke are the central focus again.

It's dark but the greatest things emerge in times of bleakness like this, things can still turn in our favor.
