I just hope when the flashback stuff is done with hashirama, Sasuke will just have them come and they move out. Ten we either shift back to the battle where naruto and lee last stuck obito and Madara or we go to another place (Kages fate maybe?) I'm glad last chapter they moved it forward a bit and we saw how inzuna was killed but not by Madara as obito said, just hope in the next chapter or so we get back to the present, sadly I think we are bound on 3-4 more weeks of this cause one chapter has to go back to Sasuke and him getting his answer but leaving us as readers in the dark before the scene shifts again, either mid chapter or start of the following.

It's a nice past mini arc and shows us much more about hashirama and his relation to Madara, reminds me of the avatar the last airbender episode the avatar and the firelord, 2 friends who had a common dream but the world and their own ideals would not allow it, then while they had good time,s something caused them to confront each other.

We know about minatos past so Kishi can save that but he can reveal his relation to naruto at anytime afterwards, by Sasuke or on the way to the battlefield.

I'm just hoping this does not look like 2012 again where the majority of the cast was shafted, we only had 3 battles, then spent a good portion of the fall looking at kabutos past, only for the alliance to arrive at years end and only have like 5 or so chapters fighting and we get back here, focusing on Sasuke with flashbacks. Rather a flashback in a flashback right now. Usually there is room for about 40-48 chapters a year but weeks off and holidays reduce this, we already missed one week not counting the winter break that ended up trolling so many fans on both ends. Just wondering what lies beyond this break in the action with the flashbacks.

I believe it will be more linear so there will be no skip event this time.

Anyway, well I hope everything is calm here. That said we only got like 3-4 chapters for this volume. So you can say it's almost time to prepare the next phase of battle. I think, depends on how it goes, the next phase of battle will be the most important one for all of us, shipping and general because this is near end the battle and as I mentioned before, one moment can break everything that is considered romantic in the past chapters. People often forget to see the bigger picture and so far, the pattern is what I expected. Side characters were the last one to deal with. Now, you know who's next. I strongly doubt Kishi forgot because he already show too much obvious signs, let alone rolling with Sakura being on-panel, only to disappear once the counterattack began. Go figure. The only real question is: what? Also, it's fitting to get many things closed in the last volume because it does suggest that the whole Hyuuga situation will finally close once the battle ends. Sadly (yet fortunately for me) it does imply that Neji will get revived. I don't want to go further detail, but everything is closing for side characters in here. Everyone not main characters are closing here, and while it can get out of hand, at least it is over. Don't worry, we're almost over.

Well if any side characters need any development left, all I can think of at this point is kiba and shino, choji sort of got his development from edo asuma and fighting the gedo mazo, otherwise he may get some final development.

I can see shikamaru getting a bit more cause well he is for all purposes a major character, I can see his big moment finding the perfect counterattack against Madara and obito, beyond putting shukaku s final plan in action.

But when you mention neji coming back, well we would have to assume sakura would come back too if Kishi does the temp death many thought of, not to mention the deal with the rinne tensi, it only works on those recently killed, but for edo tensi people, it can fully make them flesh again. Just needs a life for a life though dependent on the power. One thing I do give Kishi credit for over some other animus is he limits himself with the bringing people back to life trope, only Chiyo and rinnegan users can bring others back from the dead and it usually only works on recently killed people and ends up still taking a life, not like Dragonball z where they just Rez themselves as many times as they want.

Even then, just hope when sakura enters the picture again, it's basically what we want, Kishi making her the heroine she was always supposed to be. She always had the potential and tried to do something big for naruto, this can be the point from when she finally succeeds.

If things go down the temp death part and she did do something like protect naruto and then naruto gives obito a talk no jutsu about the ninja alliance being proof of not common interests but rather people willing to change the world and this does impact obito, then he uses the rinse tensi to revive everyone, then ok, but I'd still find it a little underwhelming considering we had this before in the pain arc.

It's at a point where there are events we know are coming and those which will catch us by suprise like Neji's death. Others we can predict but we only have a few things to work with, obviously naruto will meet up with edo minato but stuff like the whole army dying or sakura possibly getting killed and revived? No clue right now. Aside from naruto, only characters I hope make it to the end are sakura, Kakashi, bee, shikamaru, gaara, and guess a bit for ino and kiba. I hope Kakashi and bee make it, they are just too good, bee is loveable.

Always had a thought that Kashi will try to upset the least amout of fans, by making NH/SS canon. Thus only hurting NS fans.

If Kishi has any respect for his own manga then he'll give it the ending the story deserves, not the ending the fans want.

by now kishimoto is a popularity's slave...

I'm not worried about this cover, I already knew that it could have been a NH-Hyuuga cover. The problem is that the manga is lacking of NS moments now...

I guess we can all agree the first few chapters where we return to the fighting will be critical. They will give away the direction that Kishi has decided to take.

Yeah Heath Ledger was awsome as the joker..and whats sad is that in one of his interviews the interviewer asked him if he saw the dark knight, he was like "No I didn't see this movie but I just hope it turns out good" man that really touched me right here ♥
