Dafuq !!! . So it turns out Azami is not a Nakiri by blood but he married into the Nakiri's just like Joichiro into the Yukihira , also he turns out to be Nakamura the 3rd seat from Gin and Joui's golden generation  .

 

Also Soma goes to the rescue !!!   Fuk Yeah !!!    .

 

Well one part of "my theory"  comes true , now lets see why both Azami and Joui were expelled no doubt its 100 % connected now .

Really? To me it could go either way. At first it seems Tadokoro would be end game but it seems Erina and Souma's father's relationship will change the whole game. So not sure why you say its obvious. Like I said, am I missing something?

Well it was foreshadowed at the beginning ( that's why its obvious ) plus the events so far  and most of all the Author itself already confirmed the paring Soma x Erina as the endgame via her Twitter  so that's that  .

～総帥とソーマの会話1～
城一郎の話はまた後ほどということで、いまはえりなの話をしたい。
総帥はソーマからみてどんな料理人かと尋ねる。
ソーマはすげー味にうるさくていつもぴりぴりしてる感じと答える(半分ほどソーマのせい)
「えりなはよく笑う子だった」と総裁はいう。

～回想:えりなの子供時代～
アリスの料理にまずいというえりな。
アリスはせっかく作ってあげたのにと泣きながら言うと、えりなはだって美味しくないんだものという。
続けて、でもありがとう、残りはいらないと言って満面の笑顔を見せる。
アリスは北欧に行き、調理技術を手にしてくると言って旅立つ。

えりなは薊から良い料理人になりたいか問われるとはいと答え、薊は"料理"を教えてあげようと暗い部屋に連れて行かれる。
"教育"は少しづつ着実に行われ、まずい料理は屑入れに入れるように指示。歯向かえば、腕を強く握られる。

仙左衛門は薊が行った事は"教育"ではなく"洗脳"だと言い、薊は遠月から追放される

I don't think that part has been confirmed, just speculation as the surname of the number three seat was not Nakira but something else, so we don't know if he used a alias or was not a Nakira in the first place.

 

I don't think Azami was expelled, think about it, if he had been expelled from school he'd likely be expelled from the family sooner, not from his treatment of his Erina. While I do think he was the one responsible for Jouchirou leaving school early, but again I don't think he was expelled either, they probably had a battle but something about their outcome set Jouchirou on a new path, that he felt he needed to travel the world and rediscover the true meaning of his cooking.

Ah Yes another Deconstruction of the Tsundere and elitist attitude in general. So Erina used to be a sweet and happy girl huh. Give her that life back Soma.   though admittedly I wouldn't mind if she kept her harsh overbearing attitude towards anyone except Soma Hisako, and a few other.

Oh she said that herself? That's surprising. I thought as an author you would want to keep those kinds of information a secret and only portray it through developments in your story. Well if that's true then I'm quite glad. I like Souma X Erina myself.

Someone on the MH forum made a good point about the abusive nature potentially being similar to Shingatsu no Kimi to uso, of a parent pushing their child to reach the level they couldn't achieve. I hope not, it wasn't acceptable in that manga and in that one the mother was terminally ill, it won't be acceptable here, and definitely will not be as easily forgiven, which knowing the platform this is on, forgiveness will be easily given.

 

So another person commented how he could have Nakamura's name on the school register because of his exile from the family and they were thorough about erasing him from the family history. Also apparently he was a first year when Jouchirou was a third year, so onely 22 when Erina was born? Sounds like he might have sweet talked himself into the family and then got his wife pregnent to gain a foothold within the family.

Even so, it's like an easy puzzle for IQ higher than a average person. I'm not saying you have to be completely stupid, let alone stupid, to not realize it. I can understand people not seeing it, even though which I had (damn Naruto) perfect record. I'm only annoyed when they start being way too hellbent to be it for their own. Basically, what I'm saying is that it's still obvious, it's just wondering how the story is going to be told.

Well when you put it that way, it does seem like the writer is doing more stuff outside the box. I mean I'm sure there will be some redemption, I think, but if she's like the guys that wrote Death Note, then maybe realistic outcome can occur. I don't know, but so long it's written good, I won't complain.

On the scan above the text above Azami it says The number 3 seat is Nakamura  1st Gin and 2nd Joi . What reason would he have at that time to use that as an alias !? It makes no sense considering the raw also says he's in his 1st year and entered the Elite 10 .

 

Yeah on that I agree Azami was banished after the events with Erina . What you say about Joi is also very much possible so we have to wait a bit for the answer .

Ehhhhh am I !!? .  I can't see it in a different context its like 4life said  even if its not " that straightforward " .  I think its pretty much self explanatory with what we have even more so now with where this development/plot is going .

 

Well at that time he was still Nakamura and until graduation , he probably got married after that and took the Nakiri famous/respectable name . That would explain he's still in the school register and not as an Nakiri .

... I can't believe that dude twisted his own daughter's arm! Why isn't he in prison yet for physically hurting his 6 year child?! That's logic for you I guess when it comes to mangas.

Anyways, with each chapter passing, I just feel more and more bad for Erina. She suffered so much.

What I am hoping for this arc is that Soma is not the one who will rescue her, but more so "aid" her in finally defying her father. Cause what's the use if she's just a mere damsel in distress and needs to be rescued by Soma? She needs to learn to overcome that psychological hurdle herself. Soma can't shield her from her father's terrorizing influence. 

 

Moreso, I hope that Erina learns to open up more and rely on her friends/make new friends. I'd love to see Erina and Megumi getting along cause I'm a sucker for relationships b/w elite and plebeian characters, lol.
