I think they just want to focus on the anime, took them forever for the benizakura movie because fans demanded one after that false trailer xD Sunrise usually does movies AFTER the series plus tge second movie was suppose to be the ending (for the anime not manga)....however it went well (I believe it was compared to Naruto and beat it but not sure) and the anime came back with great animation
After what episode? What movie? Then what episode of it that you mean with great animation?

Well, the last movie opened with less screenings than Naruto but it almost did as good which was shocking to the studio.I think they just want to focus on the anime, took them forever for the benizakura movie because fans demanded one after that false trailer xD Sunrise usually does movies AFTER the series plus tge second movie was suppose to be the ending (for the anime not manga)....however it went well (I believe it was compared to Naruto and beat it but not sure) and the anime came back with great animation
It's rather funny that a year later, they really went make it out to be a big welcome back. Actually, that's why I really like opening 9 because it was the right fit of Gintama. It's like you're watching an opening of The Simpsons making a return (though it never left...). Heck, I always love the beginning with their smiles because they're pretty much saying "Hehe, we're back!"
God, this series...I finished my LAP but tomorrow I'll post it. It's been a while but boy, did I write a lot.

the first movie should be watched after watching the yoshiwara arc which starts in 139-146 (longest arc in the anime for now) and the second movie should be watch after the first anime and before going to the 2015 animeI have edited the post, you know? -____-

The little movies (not really a movie, just the episodes of serious arcs with commercial, basically 4 episodes put together so it will be two hours) are the shisengumi arc from episode 102 I think and the Four Diva arc which is in 210, HOWEVER, don't skip....

I wanna read it....post it now!!! XD I really enjoy opening 5, that was the first opening that felt like woah this is getting serious just like the ending 5 felt really serious when the Benizakura arc was startingWell, the last movie opened with less screenings than Naruto but it almost did as good which was shocking to the studio.

Opening 5 was my favorite. Funny thing is that's the first opening I saw and I was like "Whoa, this is Gintama? Bloody?! Nah, maybe it's trolling..."

Making me wait...I feel the unfairness...lol Gintama has amazing openings but doesn't really spoils anything which is great because usually openings shows massives spoiler like Bleach and Naruto do which was upsetting, have you seen the extra 4 openings? (Like how Sunrise did for Gundam Seed Destiny)I will tomorrow. Promise.

Because she's grandma in the cover but a girl in the inside
But she's not my grandma
So what you're saying is that your Grandma is hotter then you !? .
Stop lying to yourself you just admit it .

No, I don't skip gintama
Skipping gintama is breaking the rules
Yoshiwara arc is the longest arc in anime? Japan's anime? really?
No, Yoshiwara arc is the longest arc so far in Gintama anime, around 6 episodes.
There is only 2 movies of Gintama:
1st - is recap of Benizakura arc, but with better animation and etc.
2nd - what was intended to be end of Gintama anime "Yorozuya forever"
And 3 OVA's. 1st - is episode 1-2 for JUMPfesta, 2nd is about war and Gin's part it in, 3rd is for JUMPfesta 2015 and it's just chapter that was missed in animation.

It's not really a jab but you can tell USA audience standards are so different. Something like them, you can't see it top 10 in Japan, let's be real.I saw that jab at Zelda and Yugioh though

Zelda is extremely popular everywhere (I think..I just love Zelda) but I don't know about Yugioh...I just like the old one xDIt's not really a jab but you can tell USA audience standards are so different. Something like them, you can't see it top 10 in Japan, let's be real.
Actually, I got a question!! What do you feel of the Gintama fandom? (Have you even seen much of the fandom?) xD

Zelda is popular, no doubt. But in manga, well if you get it, that's fine but to be in top 10, I think we don't have the standard of manga/anime yet. If anything, it sold well due to the name itself. Yu-Gi-Oh! is the same.Zelda is extremely popular everywhere (I think..I just love Zelda) but I don't know about Yugioh...I just like the old one xD

Fandom? I haven't explored further but I feel like it's well respected. I find it funny how one guy asked why is it a high rating and people are upset and the answer only came down to "Because it's higher than their series." I like to think Naruto fandom being the one to be upset. But yeah, I haven't truly explore.

Here's my impression of the Gintama fandom: Relatively "small" compared to the other shounens, but very vocal and friendly to each other. Can quickly go on the defense line though when a newcomer calls Gintama boring based on their first impressions. Other than that, no shipping wars or continuous rants.

I only know Japan fanbase and they were like guys who hit jackpot. I still remember being accused for not making it popular. I should find that tweet. I was like, "I'm so sorry we American got poor taste. We're sorry to bring 50 Shades to you!"
