Thx to Katsuki Bakugou, this must have been the most kittened up coronation I've ever seen so far in any manga . Doesn't matter whether you like or hate him, felt pity or found self-satisfaction in this scene: This was too funny.
Now the only thing I'm hoping for that he actually develops.
Speaking of development: I loved Shouto in this chapter. He had to come to terms with his mother who has been residing in a psychiatric hospital ever since that incident she poured hot water on him. It's amazing to me to see how he never had any hard feelings for his mother who was disgusted by his existence and literally implanted on him the all too known Zuko/Hakuryuu burnt mark on his left eye. I know I wouldn't be this forgiving. There's a lot for him to talk about, but I can safely say now that he won't embark on the path of darkness- so please don't prove me wrong Horikoshi.
Another thing I loved in this chapter was the importance of family: Ochako's parents came all the way from the country to visit her (didn't know she lives alone); Shouto has an eldest sister named Fuyumi with whom he seems to be really close to; Katsuki gets on his mom's nerves (*ahem, ahem* what's up with your son, mam?); and Deku and his mom eating together is always adorable.
And then there's Tenya Iida... Oh yeah, his part was the only tragic one in this rather lighthearted aftermath chapter. Thank god his brother survived, but it looks like he'll never be a hero again. Look at the little brother's dreadful face:
His brother means the world to him; he has looked up to him his whole life; was his biggest supporter; even adored him more than All Might- and now... well, let's see what will happen with Tenya (I'm going to call him Tenya from now on since I wanna stay on a first-name basis with all the characters except for Deku.)
Since Tenya missed the coronation, Fumikage got honored with third place. Nice to see All Might cheering him on.
Now that this arc has ended, leaving one half in awe and the other half with a bad taste in their mouth, I'm interested to see what the next arc will revolve around. That weird anti-hero killer will most likely become the prime focus in the new arc (again, thx for not interrupting the final match), and Deku hopefully discovers a way of using his power w/out breaking his bones one after another
