I spent 7 years in a Spanish Naruto forum. Well, in it's NS fanclub specifically. However, 90% of the members were NH/SS and our place was kinda limited. We were insulted, mods tended to ignore us and I had enough of them. I just joined here and I regret not doing it before. As you may noticed, English is not my first language and I can't express fluently. However, I'd love to stay here and hopefully get to know you better. Even if we lost, this is like our sanctuary =)

It's sad but it's really the end. And the movie will just serve as an explanation as to how NH became canon. It will explain how Naruto fall in love with her that's all.

Yeah, absolutely. Me either. In fact, I was just thinking about the cute pictures of Sakura from "The Last" and how I couldn't wait to see Naruto fall all over himself for her. But I guess it was just trolling. Even releasing their drawings first, and as a pair. It was just a bait and switch. 

 

It's a crappy thing to do to readers for sure, but what's even worse is that Kishimoto's undermined the main pairing just to have a spike in popularity. He left his story unresolved so that he could continue the series. Bummer.

That or executive meddling.  Those are the only things that explain this ending.  Or Kishimoto comes back with a "Team 7 was in the end trapped in IT", and the true ending comes after they break out.

 

That just shows how shipping turned more more important than the actual story and characters themselves.  Sakura as we feared regressed.  We have SaixIno and ChoujixKarui together when they had barely interacted by the former and none at all by the later.  The only ship that makes sense is ShikaTema, and that had the minimum amount of hints.  The conclusion of the war was really rushed, just to go to this time-skip epilogue where even then much of what happened just came out of nowhere.  Suddenly, everyone has kids, and Naruto is already Hokage.  We don't see his acceptance to the job or how the higher-ups decided to select a genin for the position.  It was mostly just pairings and more pairings in 700.

 

Yes, I honestly think that this was done due to pressure of editors and like part of an attempt to promote the future movie and series.

if you guys want to read another naruto redux manga ,there is brave 10...beware cause its seinen,the main female character is ten times worse than sakura,fangirling on the main character who is a sasuke lookalike but the plotline is interesting and there are other prety good characters as well..they are shinobis using justu and stuff like that

I don't really understand what Kishi can gain from catering to the NH/SS fanbase over all the other pairing fanbase and general story fanbase. There is no way that the NH/SS fanbase is MORE populous than the general story fanbase. He just prioritized NH with NO explanation and at the expense of making his characters do a complete 180 from the previous 698 chapters, disregarding loose ends, and the failure of Naruto to achieve his goals(because last I checked, he had more important goals than becoming Hokage). All this for the sake of focusing on a NH/SS ending? Actually story plots<NH/SS ending? This doesn't make any sense.

No. I don't ship them. I'd rather Boruto end up with a new character than that Hinata-like Sarada.

Well I talked to my friend who's been predicting everything in naruto and told him about the ending. asked him "so many strange things, so what you think, genjutsu?" and he said "most likely, gives them a way to continue the series definitely xD"

Exactly, man! That's what it's supposed to do, not this huge mess. I just wanna say, I'm out in terms of 699 and 700. I'd prefer to think of my own ending from, 698 like a lot of us are, and I bet others in the fandom all over are wanting to do the same thing.

Well one things for certain, the last chapter did not make me regret the pairing I chose to follow at all....infact it made me more certain. NaruSaku would not have seen a child of Sakura depressed because her father is always away, or a child of Naruto who would have to play pranks to gain attention.

 

NaruSaku are a team, unlike with Sasuke, she would not have an issue telling him he's neglecting his children she'd remind him of his own loneliness, I can't see Hinata telling Naruto he's being a bad father she couldn't even hold a conversation with him for 19 years. Sakura would work with Naruto in the office to get his work done quickly to get them home. She's experienced to do the work having spent time at the office doing her training.

 

I read the final chapter and just got the impression of two families that loves each other but don't have time to show they love each other.

 

On a smaller not important note, I found it funny that Naruto had so many tubs of Ramen on his desk, and here I thought loving Hinata would make sure her husband had a bento to eat for lunch.
