neither does anyone else but again Evil was pretty direct with her response when she described (rather implied) the reason behind why Sasuke would poke her forehead
What reason?

I don't know if this is true, but I heard this was about the databook and an important thing missing from it :/
spoiler

There was also a databook that either forgot Hinata's arrow towards Naruto, or Sakura's arrow towards Sasuke.
That's promising, maybe they just forgot? ![]()

I can't believe Kishi could just drop Naruto's feelings for Sakura just like that.
The most sane, selfless, and strong crush in the whole series... being demolished like that?
What is Kishi thinking? Does he even care about his main character?
Hinata's role-model "love" for Naruto, towers over...
I don't know what to say right now. So much has to be said right now. I don't even know if it'll come out right.

Why do people NOT ship these two? I just don't get it.
Probably cause they hate Sakura. When she's probably the most developed female character in the whole show.
I respect Hinata, but Sakura deserves some too.

Here's to hoping that Kishi somehow makes Naruto anything bt a silver medal
Don't think that way, romance doesn't work like that. That's like saying a person who leaves a domestic abuser and marries a much better husband is only getting a silver medal bc she still has lingering feelings for him. Feelings are never black and white and Gold, Silver, Bronze medal thinking is black and white pessimistic thinking.
It has plenty to deal with it being a shonen. As a shonen the main focus is the action, and not romance. A media's targeted audience very much influences what it will be about and its limitations.
The shonen I have read and aware of do not focus on romance, and some go as far as to randomly throw characters together just for the sake of it with little build up between the two.
You may be confusing shoujos with shonens.
Kishimoto's work has a lot of romance for a shonen, in my opinion his effort and attempt to work with the limitations perhaps imposed on him have earned much respect from me. It's not the best, but he utilized creative devices and dynamics with his romance subplot.
Naruto obsessed over Sasuke too, so at this point what you are trying to get at this completely moot. Both of these characters in our own standards should be considered crazy. Let's be honest, Naruto and Sasuke's relationship in our standard should be considered homosexual as well.
You sound like you are expecting too much from a Shonen.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course but...
Unfortunately Shonen or not this does not excuse Kishi. If you introduce a plot device into your story it must be handled correctly. There are plenty of shonen where love plays a role and actually makes sense within the story. Yu Yu Hakusho, Love Hina, and Rurouni Kenshin to name a few.
Just being a shonen however is not an excuse. Compare the romance in Naruto to the romance in DBZ. We can give DBZ a pass bc the romance is in the background. In Naruto the romance aspect plays a much bigger role. We have whole chapters dedicated to it(Sakura's Confession), Character traits (Naruto's crush on Sakura, Hinata's crush on Naruto, Sasuke's crush on himself, Orochimaru's crush on Sasuke). Yet the romance of the main characters is handled horribly.
SS makes zero sense. Sakura's feelings for Sasuke make zero sense. NH lacks a ton of development to have evolved into love. Meanwhile villains like Kaguya appear out of thin air and Sasuke wants to protect the Leaf village and the senju despite the fact that Hashirama betrayed Madara's trust, Tobirama was racist against the Uchiha, and Sarutobi failed to prevent the event that destroyed his clan.
Finally you have Itachi's parents who THANKED HIM and said that they were PROUD OF HIM FOR BETRAYING AND ANNIHILATING THEIR ENTIRE CLAN???
And Naruto the hero of the entire story at the end still has yet to surpass Sasuke in a one on one contest and is being passed over for Hokage by Kakashi???
Imo this is piss poor writing on Kishi's part. I fail to see what makes him so great of a writer. None of his writing makes any sense when you examine it and I've seen a decline in the manga ever since the end of the Land of Iron Arc. The only reason I'm sticking with it at this point is for NS. Otherwise I'll probs never read another Kishi Manga again.

Because he's a bling hobo ?
Because that's the only thing we got about Sasuke in the movie spoiler.
And almost as little about Sakura...

Too much speculation
Not enough facts

evil said that line with question marks ...
evil is not implying that Sasuke would do that
it is with the heart as we see correctly; what is essential is invisible to the eyes

Someone asked "don't tell me, that all it takes is a foreheard poke and suddenly they're all good now" to which she responded with that sentence "You guys have seen the movie trailer, seriously why else would Sasuke poke Sakura's forehead?"What reason?
Heisenberg, at this point I cannot take you seriously.
You insult my argument, as well as myself, in an effort to try and gain a foot hold in this debate. Notice how I continue to show courtesy and instead offer counter points instead of attacking you directly? Please show me the same respect I'm trying to show you.
There was no "good" romance in any of these Shonen that you listed. It was direct and to the point and hardly developed with parallelism or foreshadowing. Two characters started off with some basic chemistry and then obviously ended up together. This is not entertaining nor surprising.
In terms of shonen, Naruto has the best build up between two of the main characters relationship, hands down. It also appears to offer the most dynamics, which brings you even to this forum to question and speculate Kishimoto's end game plan. You are angry probably about the fact that Kishimoto's work tends to be quite stereotypical to females. Which it is, hence why Sakura and Hinata both can be unbearable with their undying devotion to the men they "love".

i think it would be better to discuss that somewhere else(DB), because saying things like ''naruto dropped his feelings'' could make some think that theres spoilers of naruto moving on when there arent.

I'm confused about the arrow thing being removed. Why is it a bad thing and what can it imply?

I'm confused about the arrow thing being removed. Why is it a bad thing and what can it imply?
It implies that Naruto does not love Sakura anymore.
Like, where in the manga did Naruto's feelings ever falter or change? The only one who's feelings were seen to be changing were Sakura's. So yeah that's why people are freaking out.
