I am confused because these translations don't match up to what has been happening in the story of the manga. Neither MS or MP match up at all.

Maybe the Japanese SS fandom kidnapped Kishi and put a gun to his head man

Though I disagree. Love needs a reason to me. It's not something that can grow out of nothing.

You might be right and I don't disagree with you. I also did think that Sasuke using a genjutsu instead of downright stabbing her might be an indication that he's remembering the bonds he had with team seven. And this might be a set-up for that. But frankly, I'm tired of how Kishi uses Sakura in order to get his message across. He purposely damages Sakura in order to make Naruto and Sasuke look stronger, to emphasize their bonds, to make them look cool. He's using Sakura as a plot device to make way for the other characters to shine. This is an author abusing his most harmless character because he has no ability to get his point across in other convincing ways.

I also don't disagree that this might be a set-up for her future development. But I can't bring myself to care anymore. I'm not going to read this manga because my favorite character is finally going to gain her development at chapter 748 in a 750 chaptered story. Every character have their ups and downs, they make mistakes and learn from it, become better, and that is character development. Sakura makes mistakes, learns from it a hundred chapters later, develops a hundred chapter later, make the SAME mistake again, goes back in the background and disappear for a while. This is NOT steady character development. This is Sakura going back and forth. Kishi tends to put on repeat the mistakes Sakura made, probably because he lacks the ability to develop his characters in a realistic way so he decides to recycle them. It only ends up showing that Sakura never learns.

 

Yes! We can't underestimate Kishi's capacity of making Sakura look bad and then good and then bad. That's really awful for us, who really like her. She had everything to be an awesomely written character, because she IS an awesome character. But Kishi creates this perfection to then ruin it. He creates opportunities for her development just to ignore them later and bring back the same character of the beginning of the series. This is crap.

I just read through Mangastream's version and I don't see how it's any different from Mangapanda. They both have the same meaning.

It could be that Sakura isn't aware she's over him like alot of us has been predicting. She didn't have the face of a confession like she did in part 1

 

Kakashi did say thinking about him causes her suffering which could be connected to 540 still its such a huge shame that a romantic trope like 540 had to be shat on by Kishi I actually love the turning down the other guy trope but for a pair that's constantly being shown as negative is pretty retarded.

He looked kind of remorseful when he said it, and he didn't try to kill her like last time. Honestly this whole mess is bc Kishi doesn't hav the balls to take a side and he's not skilled enough as a writer to be subtle about these things, or understand character development, or romance, or proper motivation. (I'm looking at you Obito. Deciding that the whole world should end because of a middle school crush... creepy.)

yeah this chapter definitely wasn't written from an SS fans point of view with all the trashing Sakura got for her feelings.
